Despite going into this with the full knowledge that it was fan-made, I still came out feeling as though someone, that wasn’t me, understands what Halo means and was utilizing it in the form of actual content. The timing of the music, the imagery, the perfect use of silhouettes and *implied* iconography. This perfectly encapsulates what Halo has been falling short on in recent years. I know I sound like every other Halo fan, but it’s something only another Halo fan would understand. Needless to say, I felt inspired and nostalgic in a way Halo hasn’t made me feel in years. I applaud you at the highest level. Well done
Ur exactly right. Feels like every major franchise has turned into a cash grab these days with how little they pay attention to the source materials they have from the past, especially given that this already existing IP already had 8 years of source material they could have based their ideas of off for future titles. They refuse to give Halo a mature tone too all in the effort to keep it a T for teen game (which btw, that rating doesnt exist in some countries so its M regardless in those places but without all the benefits of being a "Mature" story). Then theres everything u said which relates to them just not paying attention to what made the originals so great.
i honestly couldnt agree more, theres just something ab how it used to hit, the gritty feeling of it all. there was plenty of time to learn off what once was, where is it now? and bc of the change of pace, things became divided ngl, on one side the new gen enjoyed what they put out but on the other is just ppl that want what they were originally given. its not that the new gen stuff is bad, it just stands out too much and honestly should b its own entity which could have a title that fits it better while Halo remains Halo. but its hard to recreate something from a group of ppl that created that collective idea if they themselves cant see that vision with the same drive to realize it

Halo 3 legitimately makes me emotional every time I play it. I was 13 when I played it for the first time. It was my introduction into a franchise that quite literally changed my life forever. Every moment in that master piece means so much more to me now than it ever did. I still have my copy of Halo 3 from back in the day, but I certainly wouldn't say no to an anniversary edition. God knows we could use a win.
There's something about Halo 3's music that makes me feel homesick. I've felt it more than a decade ago when I first experienced the game and I felt it today. Such beautiful timeless piece.

Everything about this is just A1 perfect. Even the edits to the music are just so on point. The use of shadows and silhouettes was fantastic and the flood just look amazing.
Wow we really had it all, didn’t we? 2007 was at its peak and I’m glad I made the most out of it. Thank you for making me remember how I felt back then.
Why do I yern for this to be real so badly? I went into this knowing it was Fan-made and came out with a feeling of genuine excitement and anticipation but sadness at the same time. Somewhere in the midst of this fan made trailer, I became lost. Completely forgetting it was made by fan with a passion for the franchise and believing this was real... Halo 3. The level of excitement, joy, and wonder it brought to all of us. Was relived within this project. Zachary, thank you endlessly for this masterpiece you've created.
It wouldn't be bad for 343 to remake Halo 3, there should have been an anniversary when appropriate, and it could be a love letter to the fans to finally make this remake as forgiveness for everything.

Makes me wish Halo could go back to its roots. 343i wasn't ready for the franchise, but people like you that love it man you are one of those people that deserve to keep Halo alive not the people they hired.

Been around since the first one dropped and this made me choke up a little bit. When a fan can do in a minute and a half what a whole studio can't do in 3 games.

Given the... mishaps 343 have had with the franchise. I would love to see them fully remake every game akin to the recent dead space remake. Maybe then, in making a full remake the studio would also grasp every little detail while remaking the original games that made them so great and with that newfound knowledge and appereciation of them they might just pull off a fantastic sequal sega one day. hanging onto that end note 1:23 was an awesome touch btw.

This is a nice little trailer! I like it! May 343 NEVER get any stupid ideas to think about halo 3. They gutted everything that made halo... "Halo". They can leave halo 3 the fuck alone. They can continue being totally incompetent with infinite for all I care. I can't witness a halo 3 remake only to hear "we can't give you co-op or the colour purple for your spartan" again.
The best part about a Halo 3 remaster is that they just need to make high definition textures, add a few more frames to the animation, and it’ll be perfect. No need for completely new assets or replacement of the art style
I usually shit on fan trailers and mods because of their “low budget” look but this is exceptionally well done for a fan made trailer. Actually I would go so far to say that you had a vision with this and may possibly have a future with marketing/video game trailers if that is the path you want to take
