Wow these guys sound just like kids and enjoying the game they have created, just as much as we did back then. Amazing how you can tell that the creators were always thinking like us and thats exactly what halo always needed in order to be a masterpiece.
Artzie Music the net code was shit....all the objects always gazing in different locations I hated it......they need to make a new halo game that's pretty much halo 3 perfected.
These were legendary times. This was filmed originally during a time when the internet was free, RU-vid was RU-vid and publishers and developers made games for the people and not for profit.
We didn't realize we were living in a golden age back then. The halo 2 and halo 3 days were amazing. Back before all the bs social media / streaming stuff, before all the ad placements, before all the microtransactions.... Long live HALO 3!!!
@@Gredran After 343i latest efforts with these "remasters" I don't have high hopes for Halo 3 PC. 343i is so incompetent they manage to create brand new glitches within a 10 year old game. Halo 2 anniversary on pc elites couldn't duel wield for no justifiable reason. These pc releases should be better than the original xbox versions in every way but Halo 1 and 2 classic mode is fucked on pc. The sound quality and music is rediculous, the music is either too muffled or too loud and you can't hear the voices. Plus the music constantly cuts in an out it's just shameful that with millions of dollars behind them they manage to do a shit job every time
I believe firmly that Halo 3 is best FPS ever released. These ViDocs give you some insight as to way. Cool, talented, passionate guys doing what they love.
Gosh I miss Halo 3... Was an all time great. I loved the memories, both in multiplayer and in customs. I used to spend hours on this game just having fun with friends, fat kid, sky castle, jenga, cops and robbers, was the most fun I have ever had in a game. I remember playing through the campaign just to get the EOD legendary helmet.. amazing game, none of the other halos compare, especially by 343. No other game really compares, it's honestly sad.
That's why Bungie was so great. They felt like such relatable, fun guys to hang out with. This is something 343 lacks, they feel like a corporation desperate for fans to love them. I like some things 343 has done but Bungie was superior.
I don't know if 343's Team are players at heart. But Bungie was. They knew what we wanted and always delivered. Minus taking away playlists that were really fun to play.
6:34 & 7:22 I just realized they're playing a variation of The Menagerie from Halo 3: ODST. The Legendary Map Pack was released in April 2008. Halo 3: Recon wouldn't be announced until September 2008. 😲
Avalanche... oh the memories of this map... dog fights in the hornets avoiding the scorpians and lasers, Close brawls in the caves, lasering that one guy who almost had a killing frenzy with the hornet and playing living dead on the map as all the humans feel to the open feilds and try to kill zombies at a distance to little effect (back when the pistol wasnt a death star in infection games ¬.¬). Ah yes memories 343 bring it back in 4 or atleast in some fashion.
Halo Reach wasn't a failure. It was the perfect way for Bungie to end their run with the Halo Franchise. The campaign was good fun but the Multiplayer really was the highlight of the game. The amount of armour customisations that were available was astonishing - the gameplay itself was fast, unpredictable, and cleverly put together. Add-on's such as Armour abilities was a much needed feature. Although I was happy to hear 'sprint' is now a normal feature in Halo 4. All in all Rech was a good game
I like the way you put that, I suppose forging was just so much more fun in 3 because the maps weren't perfect and the "techniques" as you called them where as I call them tricks and glitches, were what gave you pride in your own map making ability
Current Halo will never compare to the times created in 2001-2007 (and 2009, with ODST). You just can’t beat the original trilogy. It will never happen.
The real big issue with Reach, in my opinion, was that it was a canon breaker. It changed the story so much that it didn't make sense with the rest of the games. In The Fall of Reach, which was the first Halo book in case you were not aware, the Pillar of Autumn was never on the planet during the battle, but a lot of Spartans died trying to get to the planet. If the PoA was on the planet, not as many deaths would have occurred and the outcome of many books and most the games would be different.
Their last Halo 3 ViDoc was On The Se7enth Day, or Road to Recon depending on whether you consider that more Halo 3 or ODST (even though it's Halo 3 Mulitplayer still).
Bungie, we will always remember your halo games, 343 could never compare to your halo's, We all wish you could come back to Halo, we will always love Halo 1, 2, 3, and reach..
how come the lighting in halo 3 is so much greater than reach? i mean look at the reflection in the visors, sunlight on surface texture, everything. idk am i the only one that feels this?
It’s pretty funny, so they just released Halo 3 on PC for the MCC. I’ve been playing the absolute shit out of old school Halo 3 multiplayer. I went to find a match of Halo 4 multiplayer just to compare the two games. Couldn’t find a single soul playing Halo 4, but after going back to matchmaking for Halo 3 I found a match in about 3 seconds. Halo 3 is fucking timeless and 343 needs to get their shit together.
COD was never really good tho. It was just the best twitch shooter for a time and they never really tried to make a good game to begin with. Copy and paste franchise. 343 may not be as good as old bungie but h4 and h5 are way more enjoyable than any cod experience by themselves. Halo 5 custom games are actually pretty crazy too.
One of the greatest things about this video is the designers admitting there could be problems. Halo Reach was "infallible" which ruined it, the problems with Halo 3 only made more fun and gave it a uniqueness that no other game had.
