Its at that point the Winter Contingency has been declared and all civilian aircraft is grounded for the planet evacuation. The UNSC is aware of the attack but absolutely no civilians know that Reach is already under attack.

The “odst” you said it was was actually the old noble 6 named Thom. He never made it out of the ship in time so he sacrificed himself completing the mission. The noble 6 we play as in reach is the one who replaces him which is why at the start of the game they say “this our new number 6”. to me it and the first trailer you saw are my 2 favorite halo trailers

21:11 I believe this is Jerome, one of the Spartan-II's. He and the other members (Alice and Douglas) of Red Team were brought back to life after their augmentations first killed them. Over half the 75 Spartan-II's were killed or permanently crippled by the augmentations. Jerome is pretty badass though. You can see more of him in cutscenes in Halo Wars 2.

Spartans, as you already know, are super soldiers physically capable of feats not humanly possible, but ODST's, while not as valuable as Spartans, are a step above the normal Marines and Army. ODST's are our universe's equivalent of Navy SEALS since they're basically special forces.

The explosive thingy you saw is called spike grenade Before spartan program the odsts were like the best of the best the unsc could throw at the battlefield, they could be the navy seal like, their training is similar to them, you saw it on that odst trailer, and i think that was a relative to the odst deceased Now 3rd trailer, that’s noble team leader going through a much safer augmentation stage of the spartan iii program. And since you’re already editing the fall of reach film, remember mendez? The sergeant that trained spartan iis? Well this is him many years later (i guess) 4th trailer, all those spartans were members of noble team, yeah even that “odst” that sacrificed himself (coughed my lungs out when i heard that) also here shows how kat lost her arm. Funny this is promoting halo reach yet this battle didn’t take place on reach is in another human colony. Yes reach is like earth 2.0, planet size itself is bigger than earth, also is the most populated planet (besides earth), due to its resources reach was a military stronghold colony sort of, and home to many human weapon researches. So yeah, the lost of reach was a huge blown to the humans 5th trailer. This took place one day before halo reach events took place, that couple arguing about leaving and start over somewhere were killed (first mission you encountered hungarian farmers that told noble team that something killed his son) and that squad was tortured and killed by the covenant, to get info on that station you were sent to investigate at the beginning of halo reach. That family though, i never heard if they escaped reach or died, i dunno never saw them in game 6th trailer, yes that’s cpt del rio, the most idiotic captain of the unsc. There’s a bunch of live action trailers for halo 4 too, weird you saw only 2. Btw remember what lord hood said in this trailer that 17k of their best in the unsc was the og crew size for the infinity 7th trailer, you see now how brutal was the spartan ii augmentation stage, i think that near 30 died in augmentation. Chief was shocked and upset waking up and seeing that many of his comrades dead 8th 9th and 10th. Oh god! Misleading advertisement, this never happened in the game.
