I think the problem with most tutorials is they don't fully understand it themselves and always fall back on "just gotta practice" Like, no amount of practice is going to turn on maintain sprint 💀
Skill based movement is delicious, I feel like halo 5 just handed us movement for free. Feels good being able to outplay people with more than just gunplay alone!
Best video explaining this I've seen. I have been messing around in custom games trying to practice and it is hit and miss, but you have explained it in a way I can fully understand. Thank ya!
This is so sick! I'm definitely looking to mastering these techniques! I'm on controller, so it'll be a bit more difficult, but I'm down for the challenge :) I'm REALLY looking forward to forge movement maps.
My *Movement Guide* for EACH MAP: bit.ly/3lX5KeX My newest guide is right here! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ULtlIWvFIbY.html *Please sub if this video helped you
"They won't actually patch out peoples' actual concerns" If the map bug somehow accelerated Battle Pass progression it'd get patched yesterday 💀 Love the lift cancel btw, gonna give that a try immediately.
No doubt 😅 yeah I've been practicing it a lot for future videos, there's actually a lot of cool jumps on Behemoth that I found that I think will make the map less edge-focused
Great video. Finally someone is able to explain the curb slide. Funny how I used to watch you back in the day when I was into redstone, and now, many years later, watch you for a different reason. I guess we have a similar taste in games, lol.
Love these! I'll definitely be trying to figure them out in-game. Not a fan of calling the grapple-slide-jump a "bunny hop" though, since that's usually attributed to a mechanic from the Bungie Halos of releasing crouch and jumping one after the other very quickly for an added ~20%-30% lift.
I'm uploading a short tomorrow of just that jump to hopefully spread awareness for the jump then linking to this video as a tutorial, then maybe people will watch most of this one and learn even more :)
been playing halo since OG Xbox....always thought my movement and understanding of the game's physics was superior which was why i played so well for the longest time and easily coasted through the ranks (with a proper team).....but i can see that i was very wrong and that i need to go back to school lmao...Thank you for these videos and cannot wait to see what you uncover in the deciphering of the ancient text! I'M SUBBED ASF!
Nope! Ramp slides are the same mechanic as curb slides but curb slides don't require a ramp. I want to make another video on ramp slides and "super ramp slides" which I don't think anyone knows about yet 🤔
If you mean step jump, I have it on and have never noticed it not let me make a jump :) and Auto Clamber never messes up my crouch jumps either, personally.
The video I have been waiting for! You should get a foot pedal switch. Ever since I gotten mine, I feel like it's a must. I binded it to crouch and push to talk for halo so I can easily dodge/teabag
I heard good things about pedals but being on keyboard I've got plenty of buttons to choose from! Hope the video helps, dropping another guide tomorrow 🙌
I'm not sure how to make a more in-depth tutorial for the jump honestly, but with practice I can pull it off nearly every time now, whereas in the beginning I sort of just winged it. Try to jump off the object, and get your feet JUST past the ledge leading into the lift - if you go too far past, you can even try pulling backwards for 1/2 a second while in the air to get even closer to the ledge you over-shot. This has helped me pull it off much more often because I thought I had to hold forward the entire time which requires your original jump to be 99% perfect
@@RedNomster definitely will try, because before I was only able to pull it off once, but great videos, I learned a lot from you on sliding and jumping, love the videos. Hopefully once halo fully comes out, you’ll get more exposure.
@@RelatableShorts. that'd be great, but it's rewarding just to have occasional comments like yours under my videos. I'll keep grinding content :) and I'm glad the guides have helped! New guide dropping tomorrow
@Red Nomster for this Behemoth jump you mention it could be the fastest CTF route. I’ve been able to do the grav skip normally, but while carrying the flag it seems impossible to get enough momentum to grav skip down. Were you able to complete the full flag route? Edit: seeing your Behemoth movement guide video it looks like you were able to but it requires a flag jab.
I'm currently making a movement guide for Behemoth - I do it with the flag in the video. Basically, stand on the object like I do in this video for the non-scroll wheel jump, but instead of not sprinting, you HAVE to sprint with the flag when you jump into the lift from the object :) *EDIT ru-vid.comM7uFGMHwNlY?feature=share
def subbed, quality vids. Just a question you mention scroll wheel, you said crouch on scroll wheel up too, does that mean that your jump is scroll wheel down or is it scroll wheel press. You said you have double binded some key presses as well. In settings is Hold to sprint, Maintain Sprint, turned ON? Also Auto Clamber and Step Jump OFF? Trying to sort out my button layout on KnM Thanks keep up the great work you be at 100k in no time. I wonder what would be good to have as a quick weapon change keybind or mousebind as scroll wheel occupied by Jump and Crouch.
Dude thanks so much on tip about changing crouch to mouse wheel up as I get the last method in vid on behemoth 9/10 as its so rapid vs mashing crouch. Weeks ago I was trying it via crouch button press I get it 2/10
Oh, hey again all but one movement method in this video is possible and easily doable on controller. Shyway (the pinned comment) is the leading name in controller movement, check out his videos. Though, he also agrees that separating the lobbies is pointless. It's not pc or keyboard that allows these techniques, it's practice
