Right? Halo is the one game I’ve always wanted to play on a handheld for like long road trips. MCC is what sold me on the Steam Deck, 6 months ago I got it and damn do I not regret it
We don't know what handhelds will come out in the future, how could you possibly back that claim? Unless the Earth explodes in the next few years, it's inevitable that technology will keep getting better and better and the Steam Deck will eventually be outclassed in every possible way.
The patch notes for the most recent update mentions that the lighting and shadows in Halo 2 are more accurate to OG Xbox version plus some other visual fixes. Are you gonna look into that?
I really wish companies would focus more on fps and controls. It makes such a difference for a game to have above 50 fps and to have smooth controls, and good animations. Sacrificing either of these for more pixels isn't worth it.
The issue with H2A campaign, across all platforms, is CPU performance. The anniversary graphics hammer the CPU and don't benefit much from additional threads, so you need a CPU with excellent single-thread performance to get a smooth experience. Unless you're on a system that has excellent CPU 1T performance but a terrible GPU (e.g. Intel 13xxx or Ryzen 7xxx with only integrated graphics), or playing at an extremely high resolution like 4k, there's no point in using FSR.
I still get awful frame rates on halo ce anniversary and on halo 2 anniversary. Even though all the other games run a smooth 120 fps on highest settings. I don't get why halo ce anniversary still runs so poorly. It legit dips down to 30 fps during silent cartographer, it happens often too it goes from a smooth 60 fps to 30 fps out of nowhere. Not only that but the anniversary titles never seem to go above 100 fps on my pc even on normal graphics preset. I have had nothing but struggles with those two games since day one, I hate how it's most likely never going to be fixed. I have a decent computer with a rtx 3060 and i5 10400f. It should atleast handle the games with a locked 60 fps! Even when it's locked to 30 fps on the normal graphic presets it still freezes on both halo ce anniversary and halo 2 anniversary.
For my experience the update did not change nothing on PC. It dips down to 40 fps on Silent Cartographer on a PC, 1080p, max settings, but here it's fine at 60fps (with a lillte fps drop)?
@@ShmeeGrim Awesome! I remember for a time being it just wouldn't work unless you had anti cheat disabled, but they slowly chipped away so that more and more features would work.
@@EspartanicaI looked for this setting everywhere couldn't find it thanks so much shall I pick the top option not the one that doesn't disable anti cheat?
