My reaction and review of Halsey's third album "Manic"!
I was blown away by the artistry of this album, masterpiece! Not meant for bops, but meant to touch your heart! How did you feel about it? Comment!

Treyann Bella Lyrics are always what stick with me the most, when I catch certain lyrics that hit my heart, or that are clever af! But it’s hard cus production is also a weakness of mine, so I try my best to address as much as I can!! Thank you for watching 😊

I really enjoyed watching you process your way through all of the songs on this wonderful album. "More" is such a powerful song and it always makes me choke up. The muffled sound at the end of the song is supposed to be what the baby would hear from inside the womb. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

bumpo628 when I was editing the video I started crying again as I realized so many details about this song. How like you said, it’s supposed to be as if the baby is listening to her sing her this beautiful lullaby/love song from inside the womb. I love the intricacies of the song, i missed the nursery type of sounds too on the first listen. I love how purposeful her music is, she gives a reason to every later of music she contributes. Also: this album is technically not HALSEYs album, its Ashley's album. As in, the person BEHIND halsey. Theres not really a storyline but it's a bunch of different mini stories about her and her life.

ezra salem after watching the beats1 interview I see that, and I think that makes sense now starting with the sign Ashley too! I hope she finds comfort in HALSEY the way Lady Gaga has, cus I feel like gaga has had this similar complex with “Gaga” and “Stephanie”. I understand it completely though. I think they want to remove the public expectations and just be able to be themselves without having to live up to their past success or persona!

More is my favorite on the album. It made me look at life in a completely different way. It made me see that life is a beautiful blessing. It’s a very sad song but it really makes you think.

At the end of More her and Lido tried making it sound like how an ultrasound would sound at the drs. Then for Alanis interlude, it’s talking about the lgbtq community. How labels don’t matter but also they matter to other people and about her never being what people want or expect her to be. “Cause he and she is her”

Forever...(is a long time) is the beginning is happy like falling in love and then the transition is her getting into her mind and overthinking and self saboatoging herself and the relationship

Dolly CryBaby I’m so glad I watched the Beats 1 interview cus she clarified a lot of my thoughts on the album and specific songs. The forever transition is so good, and I love how her lyrics are amazing and the production of her songs just elevates them completely.

You are so kind, thank you so much. I loved this album, MORE was hitting my heart strings when I first heard it, but once I looked into it (cus I found myself trying to explain the song and realized I didnt understand it all) I went to look up the lyrics to get a better understanding, and in that moment I realized what it was! and thats when I had a mini meltdown! lmao it was such a beautiful song and an equally amazing album. I feel very proud of her. Thanks for watching!!!

Amanda Montoya she really is, time and time again I’m blown away, especially being here since the room 93 ep, the growth is literally incredible. I’m really proud of her, and it’s cool that she gets a lot of respect in the industr even though she’s very alternative and experimental with it

Not gonna lie, its really dissapointing to see reactor after reactor not being able to search up translation for suga's interlude. It takes like 10s.😔 The song is really meaningfull for both of them, but thats americans and their struggle to try to recognise something foreign i guess😐

Aušrinė Vilimaityte honestly that’s a valid point and reason to be disappointed. I’ve reacted to kpop and Brazilian artist before, and I’ve looked up the lyrics to get a better understanding, so I honestly should of done that for SUGA’s part. I was mostly focused on halseys part, and I didn’t look up lyrics for every single song, but I should of given that song more of my time especially cus it sounded quite beautiful.

i’m late to this reaction but THANK YOU SO MUCH i’m a fan of her and it made me disappointed how people aren’t appreciating her creativity and never really tried to put an effort to understand the details bc every single detail is so mind-blowing you just need to try to understand her and listen to what she’s saying. one of those is suga’s interlude it’s such a beautiful reflecting hopeful song although you didn’t look up the lyrics you were so respectful and found the beauty of the song without understanding i admire that so much🥰💖💖

Omg thank you so much for all your kind words! I loved this album and loved reacting to it. Halsey is such an amazing artist and I’ve been riding since ghost days, shes come so far truly. I did get criticism for not looking into Sugas interlude but it was also a long album and reaction and looked into it after and his parts definitely explain more of the meaning behind the song, and dive deep into emotions which I love. Thanks again!!

For Suga's: Interlude.....you can look up English translations of his Korean rap......the lyrics are pretty deep. Also, Interlude: Shadow is a thing....ok bye

Thank you so much. I love that album, as I love all her albums. She is viewed as just this pop artist but if you’ve been there from the start it always felt alternative and next level. I’m proud of her and I need to rewatch this reaction actually cus it feels like it’s been YEARS. Crazy how time flies

The ending of More is(in my opinion) supposed to sound like Ashley's voice from the inside of her womb to the child she wish(es/ed) was there at the time. This song literally saved my life after my miscarriage in my first pregnancy.

I cried too I just had a baby after thinking I could never have a baby and had so many complications and this song just makes me cry and want to hold him so bad and just give him all the love I can because I'm so lucky to have him

Women really have to deal with so much, and I don’t feel like that’s talked about as much. Like we are so used to it that we kind of forget women are out here going THROUGH IT. I just have to say that Halsey already said that this album is not all about g-eazy. She said there’s a few songs that are about him bc he was a huge part of her life but it’s not all about him. Some of it is about old relationships and events that she didn’t get a chance to process when they happened. Ik this was kinda unnecessary but it bugs me when people reduce h to just her relationship with g-eazy

Justine Devitt afterwards when I looked up the lyrics again I was like wait I’m stupid, the lyrics were clear as day 🤣 I think I was getting so deep into the long album, and trying to analyze the songs quickly, cus it may not seem it but when I film it’s like an hour and a half of footage and it’s a long time! Adil Saylaubaev I felt like it was an album reject, so they used it for the soundtrack and pushed the production really hard! I liked it as a soundtrack song, not as an album song! It’s so intense lol When she goes full screamo mode I feel like I’m back in 2006 🤣
