This video does an overview of some of the improvements made in Ham Radio Deluxe with the release of version 6.8. This version also includes the introduction of HRD Alert.
Hi ! I would like to know if possible which "font" you are using in the loogbook and in the DX Claster of this video. And when possible make explanatory videos to Digital Master and Satelite Tracking, because for those who don't know software it's very difficult to use these tools, that we buy. Thank you and congratulations for updating your software. 73 Fernando
If I have made customizations throughout HRD such as log view filters or WSI selections, will installing the new version allow me to keep them or will they be overwritten?
@@HamRadioDeluxe I described that incorrectly. What I meant was that I have custom selections for the cluster view that differ from the defaults. My question should be, "What, if any, customizations will be overwritten when I install the upgrade?"
@@davidbeauchesne7399 Nothing happens to your DX Cluster layout. That said - I highly recommend setting it to the defaults. There's a lot of new stuff in there that you may not otherwise see.
HRD Alert is for digital modes. That said, there are a lot of improvements within the DX Cluster that have enabled me to gain several new band countries on CW.
When I see someone calling CQ on HRD Alert how do I respond? When using WSJT-X and JT Alert I can double click and respond. That feature doesn't seem to work here.
Can anyone tell me how to set up HRD logbook so that FT8 contacts I make on WSJT-X are automatically logged into HRD logbook as opposed to having to manually import the ADI file? Thank you. 73 de Arnie W8DU
Correct. Microsoft abandoned support for WIndows 7 on January 14, 2020. Ham Radio Deluxe is developed using the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio.
After instaling the 6.8.01 and When I start the Logbook am getting the following Window: 'Encountered an improper Argument'... Any solution? 73, OD5KU / KU5OD
We have not seen that happen. Exit Logbook and delete all the TXT files in %appdata%\HRDLLC\HRD Logbook and restart Logbook. You may have old solar files that didn't get removed.
Rafa EA6A Hi Elie, the same thing happened to me. The first time I started the program, the same message appeared. My logbook was based on the "MariaDB" database, well, I've solved it by going back to the old "mdb" Access database. Although now I have the problem that in the cluster window, in the "worked bands" column it appears blank, I only see "?" Not the bands in which I have worked the country of each Spot. Keep investigating. Greetings. 73 Rafa EA6A
No, I have not reinstalled. I saved a copy in "MariaDB" format and the same Log in "Access .mdb" format, and clicking on the "Manager" icon at the top of the screen, a window will appear to manage the format of the database that wants to use. I hope I have helped. Greetings. by Rafa EA6A
The reply back to my ticket was. You need to change the BBS over to WA9PIE-2 It cured the problem. I hope this can be fixed and I can change back to my local bbs.
