I've always loved the idea of a tiefling paladin that despite the discrimination of carrying the blood of a fiend they stand for justice and good imagine the fiendish ancestor trying to temp them to fall and them saying "f**k that" and smites the fiend in the face

People also don't realise you don't have to play them as edgelords. You can play them however you want and it is a fun race to play. You walk into a store and the shopkeeper follows you closely and is staring at you like you killed his dog. Looks like role play time. Do you react angrily or ignore him? Or do you give him a reason to distrust you? You get so many options.

Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes added something like 8 new subraces for tiefling so if you're into tieflings I'd recommend checking that out. Basically makes it so their +1 can go to any slot,not just intelligence and changes their spells around.

I honestly like the idea of Teiflings not knowing they are teiflings until they hit puberty. This is a good story telling tool for backstories, and could either explain why their family is, or is not, in the picture.

One of my favorite characters to play was a Tiefling Warlord from 4e, which mixed martial tactics of a 5e Fighter Battlemaster and the inspirational healing of a Bard. He was always trying to be honorable, kind and just, but being in a kingdom of humans meant he stuck out like pointy horns and a devil tail.

When i picked tiefling i diceded to roll a dice for the background. I got hermit, niw the backstory is that my tiefling ran away and refused her ancestors. So she got isolated and was alone for a long time The virtue name wil be: Hellish resistance
