Leather laces aren't brittle at all if you fully saturate them with oil. I soak my laces in oil to the point they're dripping, then I hang them for hours, next I cake them with a homemade beeswax and castor oil mixture. They end being a little sticky, but they're super durable.

I have one pair of these on order on brown. Same 55 last. They look awesome.

You're gonna love them. They feel super lightweight and flexible compared to a classic configuration Nicks boot.

Awesome.. I got the 55 last because of your video. The heel looks amazing, not too pronounced, but supportive. Thank you for your videos.

Nicely done and explained, Killian. I put my boots and the LP in the sun for a little warming before applying it. No extra work and lets the paste soak right in. I'm betting you do the same on occasion.

Thanks, Rick! 100% on warming stuff in the sun... granted that was a lot easier in Southern CA than central Europe, haha.

If I may suggest, dump the leather laces. Paracord, kevlar, cotton, etc. are all better than leather when it comes to laces. Great video!

Thanks! I was actually thinking of going the kevlar route on the laces. I really dig the traditional vibe of the leather, but caring for and replacing 7+ pairs of boots worth of laces does get old.

@@CyclingSasquatch I have IronLaces on my Tactical Boots and Urban Loggers. Simply unbeatable laces.

@@Totemparadoxi read that ironlaces eat up the brass eyes and hooks ., i havent used mine yet. What is your experience?
@Totemparadox
@Totemparadox Месяц назад
@@sergior.carreno5568 Maybe after a very long time but I personally didn't see anything like that. I sold both my boots a while back and neither had any premature wear.
