What do you mean by the glass for candles? What would be a good example?

It looks like a lot of trends for candle glass are rounded bottoms, or a melted look.. like indentations

Listening intently 😊 Wait...squalene or squalane? I'd be surprised if squalene is trending because it is sourced from shark liver. Conversely, vegetable derived squalane is available. Vegan friendly is all the rage these days...😁 On second thought....no, I wouldn't be surprised....it's 2023...stranger things have happened 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

@EleveFineSoaps You didn't necessarily get it wrong. Depends on which one you are talking about. Squalene comes from both sharks and other plants sources such as olives. Squalane is the hydrogenated version of Squalene. Hydrogenation makes a fat more shelf stable but also makes the fat unhealthy. So Squalane probably doesn't have the same benefits as squalene. Think about margarine or crisco. It is an oil that was liquid at room temperature. It is hydrogenated and is now a solid at room temperature. Everyone loved it! Crisco and margarine were cheap alternatives to lard or tallow for baking and cooking. For profit sake, they were advised as the healthy alternative. Decades later hydrogenated oils are being phased out from processed foods(they were in literally everything 2 yrs ago) because scientists were finally able to prove that they are causing brain damage. And none of the claims against sat fat were ever proven. They were used to sell hydrogenated fats. Recently research has shown that sat fat isn't bad at all. Moral of the story: Best not to mess with nature, don't hydrogenate oil.
