The Crown Sport is so much better than our current Crown liftback and the upcoming estate. Idk what crack Toyota is smoking not bringing the sport here
Thank you Kirk for showcasing both the Crown Sport and sedan models. It must be great to see these in person rather than on press photos. I'll be going to see these in person next year when I go to the Tokyo Auto Salon next January! Its been over 3 years since I went to Japan. As for sunroofs, in Taiwan many luxury cars didn't have sunroofs unless they were higher trim or imported from the US. It seems Japan is similar in that aspect.
From what I've seen, the relative ubiquity of sunroofs/moonroofs on luxury and even most mid-trim mainstream cars seems to be a unique North American market preference. Both in Asia and in Europe, there seems to be a distinct preference of some buyers in those markets for luxury and premium vehicles that don't necessarily include the sun exposure and/or added complication of a moonroof. It could also be that traditionally, most cars in the US and Canada are sold out of dealer stock, and in Asia and Europe, that car buyers are able to order their cars with more specific and bespoke options. Typically in the US, most manufacturers bundle features in popular packages, forcing you into the moonroof if you want features such as heated seats or an upgraded sound system.
Crown Sport should come to North merica. It is a stunning looking car from the exterior. Inside, I think it could use some more sporting touches but the interior is good enough. IT's the exterior that truly stands out.
Literally the reason I didn’t buy a Toyota when getting a new car. I swear it will be Toyota’s downfall in the US if they don’t do anything to stop it. Making the Lexus TX to combat Grand Highlander sales isn’t a good strategy, like Honda making the Integra to combat Civic Si markups (And Type S for Type R markups). Is this some kind of new Japanese North American anti-markup strategy?
@@faheemabbas3965 ya and then you’re gonna get stuck with the premium service and prices 😅😂🤣 so it’s still a win win with Toyota… and Lexus… regardless ya it’s crazy to see how Toyota and Honda aren’t fighting for the consumers but letting these dealerships gate keep these cars and are demanding markup prices…. That’s why I’m waiting on the new model 3 and Y….. no price gouging just adjust based on market and demand and don’t have to deal with the sales and finance folks….
If the Sport comes to the US at $50k, I will be the first one in line with my checkbook. As much as I love my 2017 ES350 with only 40k miles on her, she is a goner. 😊 but I ain’t paying a dime over MSRP on general principle.
I love these! They look amazing. If I had to choose which one of the two I would go for, I would go for the Sedan. Don't get me wrong, it is such a difficult decision when you are choosing from two beautiful cars
That Sport is Nasty. I bet that will come close or match the Carmy in sales.. Once it gets over here. But i want it to be Fast. Could u imagine if this came with the Supra Motor. Good Lawd, I'll be first in line..... Only Dreaming!!!!
I’m happy for y’all two. Best yt reviewers. Kirk and David take photos and get souvenirs. Great memory. Ps. Toyota we want a xtra cab hybrid max aka X Runner Tacoma.
I would prefer any of the crowns except the one we (US market) got. Maybe I'm not the target demographic. Sport > Estate > Sedan > lifted sedan we have.
The sport needs to happen in north America... I want one now. But, in canada we probably wont see one till 2025 unfortunately. I'm also praying they keep the crown badge on it. Love, love, love it cant wait
That crown sedan is freaking amazing! Too bad you did not do it justice in the video. You captured sections of it but not the whole car. But the sedan looks lovely.
Okay Kirk, please use your power to influence Toyota to bring the Crown Sport to the States. It will sell incredibly well. A Porsche inspired Toyota. WIN WIN. Come on KIRK!!
I would love to see both of these cars come to the USA. Maybe if the rebadged them to Lexus. I think I would do well. Compete against the Macan and as a new Lexus LS. But damn that crown sedan is so sexy. And I love the sport SUV.
It's amazing whole car boil down to the CROWN logo. I wish and hope future Toyota Crown and more Crown model comes to America with the Crown logo otherwise it's a wrong strategy for Toyota. Hope they'll learn.
If the US brings the crown sport to the market, it will sell so well. From what Ive seen on comments on this channel and forums talking about the Crown Sport I believe there will be high demand for the car because so many Americans want to get the car. It just looks so much better than the North American Toyota Crown
