If you are handsome, ppl will always try to paint you as a jerk or idiot. Guys will always act petty and exaggerate every little flaw that you have. You basically have to develop a survival of the fittest mindset and be cautious about other men you interact with.

Had this happen throughout my life. Smh. It took a looong time to understand how women who were truly attracted to me viewed me on the 'cliche' attractive scale. I've always had resistance from other dudes and at times had to defend my self whether verbally or sometimes physically. Jobs were no different... Even had a supervisor who would hate and cock block just because the females at the job were feeling me. We almost went to blows cuz dude would not let up. Even so called friends have hated and tried to block in situations. These days I'm more of a lone wolf just because I know how people male and female can be. Before the pandemic a guy at work used to greet me like evetybody else but as soon as some women started saying that I look good he stopped greeting me and had a disgusted look on his face.

I’m handsome, quiet,confident and don’t follow the crowd. I get all types of “gay,weird,stand-offish” coming from every direction. Most aren’t even consciously aware of this dynamic.

I’ve been dealing with this hate my whole life, I’ve dealt with this jealousy from so called friends and my family members including my own dad, I’ve had my so called homies to go after every woman I’ve had just because I was with them, it made them feel above me if they was with a woman I was with, I’ve been lied on, I’ve had clothes stolen from me, I’ve been fired from jobs, been to jail to screw up my record you name it I’ve dealt with it, it’s sickening to my stomach to the point where I’ve had to live a solo dolo life, man these low self esteem dudes has got to go at all cost.

When I was heavy, I never had this issue. As I lost more and more weight, my friends would congratulate me, but eventually they started coming at me sideways, especially when girls were around. When you’re handsome, you really can’t afford to spend time with the wrong dudes as they will act friendly but go behind your back when you’re not around. Learning to fight is a must, also elevating the quality of men you hang with is also very valuable.

This some real shit Unc. I've had guys try to play me or embarrass when I'm out with one of my 8+ girls. With me they do it real subtle. Try to make situation awkward for me or boss me around like I'm the "Lil bro". As good looking guy, you gotta get real about body and gym life because that goes into defending yourself. I was bullied a lot in middle school. All my friends called me ugly every guy in my grade made fun of how short and skinny I was. Then in 8th grade I popped out with the best looking girl in the school. All throughout highschool I was still bullied but I always ended up with sum of the best looking girls especially out of my friend group. But my self esteem was cracked from the negative comments about me. Not just my looks but just about everything about me. And I was so confused if I’m so ugly why am I so successful when it comes to girls. I couldn’t figure out if I’m so ugly why am I being touched and grabbed at parties and being catcalled. Why do girls come up to our friend group only trying to talk to me. Because when I look in the mirror all those negative comments about me are still in my head and that’s all I see. Sometimes I hated looking in the mirror. I remember being depressed and crying by myself becuase I wasn’t “normal looking” and only saw the flaws that people hated me for. My brother is autistic so my parents were always focused on him and never really had time to talk and get to know me. Being 21 now my dad even says he’s really sorry about it. Recently at work this guy (my age) was being real passive Aggressive with me and I couldn’t figure it out. I always said good morning and smiled when I’d see him but he was still fucking with me. I asked my dad what the problem was because at this point it was pissing me off and this was his exact response. He says that because your very good looking a lot of guys are going to be that way with you because they wish they had ur looks and persona. So now I just accept it and I thank God that those negative comments are out of my head and all I see is me. And now tbh I’m shocked at my looks and I’m starting to accept the compliments I’ve received . I’m trying not to sound conceited saying any of this because I try to be as humble if a person as possible so I didn’t want to go into a lot of details. But it feels good to finally say wat I had to say.

A real friend will hook you up with babes and help you move. If they ain't doing that, they hating on you, using you or both.

If you’re good looking, there are people that will try to destroy your self esteem. They will try to put you down to boost themselves up. We all have our insecurities, but I never projected my insecurities onto others. I surprised myself a few times as a youngster when I attracted girls that (I felt) were out of my league. Then I got older and realized that my peers were just hating and talking shit. I’ve never cock blocked a man. I don’t go that far with my insecurities, because I don’t like it when people cock block me. Our ego can get bruised if someone is getting more attention than we are. I was always good looking, but I was far from the coolest guy. Many women rejected me for that reason alone. It felt great whenever I met a woman that truly liked me for who I am, because I wasn’t going to change who I was. This is why I gravitated towards psychology, not as a career, just reading a lot on the side and on this topic. I had my own “best friend” always try to push up on every girl that I was ever with and always kick my back in to them whenever I wasn’t around. Come to find out years later after I removed myself from his presence he confessed to me that I was the best friend he Ever had in life but he just couldn’t realize it at the time because he always felt jealousy about how good looking I was and everybody always quickly took to me. I knew that’s what it was all along but I needed to him hear say it. But you’re right. Dudes will definitely feel some type of way. But never the REAL Dudes. If you’re cool people the REAL Dudes are gonna rock with you and don’t care about how you look. And the REAL Real dudes are gonna even playfully brag about you around their lady friends. I’ve had those kinds of friends too. And needless to say I still remain friends with those kinds of brothers to this day.

They would always try and embarrass me in front of females but it always back fired on them because most times the women would come and tell me all the bad things my old friends would say behind my back. The social circle situation is true. Was involved with a girl from a social circle of a few guys and girls a few years ago. There was a guy in the social circle that had a crush on her and there was a girl in that social circle that had a crush on me. They both told the girl I was with at that time that I was just there for a short term encounter, even though that was not my intention. The girl I was with at that time was insecure and she listened to them. I tried to explain to her that the guy liked her and the girl liked me so they were trying to break us apart for their own selfish reasons, but she didn't believe me so she cut things off. If people see you as good looking then you can only deal with women that are more secure than average. Yes a lot of women will find you attractive but your dating pool might not be as large as people think it is because there will be women who find you attractive who is insecure. The good thing is though the ones that like you will really really like you.

No lie. As a guy coming from private school to a rough public school in 8th grade. Being handsome was tough. I grew up sheltered. And reverted to akward behavior. Because I had never been around anything similar before. People would make fun of me and I didn’t have the experience to throw jabs back. I talk about this all the time. Jealousy can make a normal person think about killing you. I have many stories about people trying to come at me because some girl they liked liked me. I make sure I know how to fight just in case. The first time I experienced this was in middle school when this pretty girl was on me hard chasing me and this dude who was like a school bully used to get mad and try to mock her when she would flirt with me. After that he’d try to punk me but I always fought back so he eventually gave up. Back to the thing about being handsome and smart to it causes people to try and pretend like you are stupid and/or shallow. Especially the nerds because they feel as though they got have something to say they are better at. I'm a "handsome" guy. I don't consider myself a Chad or Tyrone, but I'm good looking. I noticed anything I do gets attention. If I wear a T-shirt people will talk about my muscles or how "tight" the shirt is. If I wear a tank top in public people will mean mug me or make comments like "looking jacked" or something or talk about how they used to look like me. If I get a haircut it's some bullshit about how long it took me to style it or why do I pay so much. They'll act like I'm dressing up to impress somebody when I'm wearing a plain T and black jeans. I went through and still am going through a hard time with this. I enjoy being friends with other men but I find that some other men hate on me super hard for seemingly no reason. I used to think something was genuinely wrong with me because I didn't understand why other men seemed so hostile towards me. After some reflection I think it's because i've always had it pretty easy with women. Women have always been drawn to me ever since I was young.
