The Tyra Banks part is interesting because part of the joke was "haha look at this well-liked person pretending to be all mean." But now that her rep has taken a nose dive and she's seen as kind of a monster, this scene is like, "wow true Tyra outing herself." It's gone from basic ironic to really ironic.

i've always hated the whole miley and travis conflict. miley was obviously invited to the mayor's banquet so she could've just told travis that she couldn't make it because of that, and even though miley didn't "turn up" to the banquet (although she did as hannah) because she was "sick" she can use that same excuse as to why no one saw her there. there was literally no reason for miley to have to juggle between the two instead of postponing the date and it will forever annoy me

I was an extra in this movie for 3 days during the ending concert scene at the carnival. It was hot as hell and had no shade for 15 hours a day. “Lily” was a little bitchy and didn’t talk to any extras lol. Everyone else was cool. Even Miley. We couldn’t tell anyone about those three songs and if they caught you trying to record them, you were kicked out. Edited: it was actually three songs. I sat out for a few takes of Rockstar because I was so hot at that time that I needed to go to the shade. I don’t remember much about that song.

@Smiya Coron fun fact: the Hoedown Throwdown scene was shot at the same location. It was transformed into the food area for extras when we got there. The place is called Smiley Hallow in Goodlettsville, TN.

Ah, I was an extra for Tenet (concert hall/terrorist scene) and we had to give up all of our phones and stuff and sign NDA-s. Everything still leaked to the media on the first day tho lol

That whole act was crazy, especially since Lily was already dressing as Hannah she could have been at the mayor's dinner, also why not just apologize to Travis in person instead of getting rid of that persona that gets rid of any normalcy, also if she was being chased it would be way easier to just try to lose him and then arrive late as she was already not on time, than to come as Hannah Montana to her skate board party

The "put on a wig and she's a whole different person" thing is kind of plausible if you don't already know Miley well enough to recognize her in a lot of different costumes, or with a new hairstyle/dye job, or whatever. It probably wouldn't fool some people (like at her school), but a lot of strangers would probably see Miley on the street and just be like "wow has anyone ever told you you look a lot like Hannah Montana?" Also, for a lot of people (including people at school who notice the similarity), there's probably a lot of mental uncertainty around "should I even bring this up/bother this person I don't know very well about this? Maybe I'm the only one noticing it." Because most people are just aware that in real life, people can look like each other, and sometimes it's just a really weird coincidence. (Idk maybe this seems less unbelievable to me because face blindness, so I have literally gotten two people IRL confused before because they looked vaguely similar/had similar hair.)

In reference to Jackson working at the zoo, it's mentioned why in the deleted scenes. He got kicked out of college/didn't get enrolled or something like that but never told his dad so he was working for his cousin (who knew) as a way to earn money but also semi-blackmail to keep his cousin from telling his dad the truth. That's why he has to feed Miss Pearl the alligator, because if he doesn't do what his cousin says, he'd tell Robbie Ray.

That scene with the Grandma's plates getting destroyed weirdly hurts. Especially as a South Carolina girl who grew up in the Appalachian area. Also, Lily could have pretended to be Hannah while Miley went to her date, or told Travis she had something to attend to and needed to reschedule. Yikes.

It began in 2006 (specifically due to the boys of Hannah Montana and High School Musical), and peaked around 2010-2012 with Justin Bieber. Trust me, I graduated high school in the early 2000s, and shaggy hair on boys was definitely not a thing.

I can tell you as someone who grew up on a farm it's very common to have multiple crops and products. My family's farm raised horses, llamas, alpacas, goats, and rabbits and also grew corn, wheat, apples, and a large variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables.

I live in a small town in TN. Have all my life. Let me tell you, this movie is IT. 1. Southern grandmas are the most passive aggressive people on the PLANET. 2. people wouldn't clap if someone was busting their ass. They would either watch deadpan and go about their business or offer to help. 3. If you had two competent workers you could probably get that shed done in two or three days, depending on the foundations and as long as you had all the equipment and materials already there and didn't spend a whole day back and forth to the hardware store.

Wow. I’d forgotten about this movie completely. This just reminded me of the night when my college roommate made me watch this movie, because she was horrified to know that I’d never seen Hannah Montana in any capacity and needed to remedy the situation. I couldn’t take any of it seriously as a bitchy young adult, but I’m sure it would’ve been fun to watch as a kid.
