Hannibal ! I think you're an awesome guy and you have a very down to earth way of getting the right stuff out. I'm 60 years old and have been going on and off to the gym for 40 years. If I started like you and stuck to it consistently I might have a physique like you too. I understand now after all these years when you say do the beginner stuff for 6 to even 8 months before going on to the next level ! I wouldn't have had so many injuries and tears ! I guarantee that you are a lot stronger and got more whip ass in those muscles of yours than 75 % of guys in the gyms do ! That is if you had to take that can of whip ass out to use it ! Lol ! Most people don't listen to advice but when someone gets good advice and listens they understand and will be able to pass it down to someone else and help them get down the same road ! If you don't have a solid base for your body like bridges have to hold them up then no matter how big your muscles are you are going to crumble under pressure ! You have all my respect in the world and I wish you a happy and fulfilling life ! Which I'm sure you already have ! It shows in your confidence and teachings. Keep up the good work because there are a lot of people out there that need to learn a few things ! Thanks again ! 👍🏽

Hannibal and street workout really opened up my eyes to what else is out there, initially I was a gym rat but I never could hold up to heavy weights constantly it was really demoralizing injury after injury working on form constantly. Calisthenics changed a lot for me something that taught me the value of my own body and what I can sustainably train over and over. Thanks to these guys for breaking my weights tunnel vision and helping me create a better long term plan for myself. I'm sure many people share the love for training. Being able to do something every day brings more structure to my life. Yall rock thank you !

A lot of people today still need to come back to these type of videos to listen, watch and learn. This is authentic calisthenics showing real strength, hard work and ethics. It's not that "weak for all/crossfit come join us you can do this too/make us rich/feel part of our Fitness society" type of deal. Too many social media heads have watered it down as Hannibal says. They are still playing with kindergarten water color.

The faster reps work the quick twitch muscles that are you used for speed and explosive movement. The slow reps will recruit more of the smaller muscle fibers that are built for endurance. For example a distance runner and a sprinter's bodies look totally different. The sprinter is usually bigger with high definition in his muscles, whereas the distance runner is usually thinner with less defined muscles.

@silvermediastudio
@silvermediastudio 12 лет назад
Do all three... diamonds hit the tris more, wide hits the chest and back a little bit, and neutral is mostly chest and a little tri. Remember the tricep is just that, it has three heads, and to hit each one, you need to work it from a different angle. Same with the chest, which is a group of muscles, and it's better to hit it from a number of angles over time. Find the combination that gives you the best pump and mix it up every few days or weeks to challenge yourself.

lock-out is when you are doing the pull-up you fully extend your arms on the down position so they are straight. you should also lock-out on the to position of the push-up
@blitz849
@blitz849 12 лет назад
typically the closer in you go the less you hit the chest and move to triceps and shoulders. Trying altering your 'chest over your hands' position. If you wanna try a more chest-focused diamond push up do them off a bench, bed, sofa, etc. With your feet higher than your head.

you dont have to, alot of people dont, just come very close to locking out, it can be hard on your joints. but if someone asks you to do deadhang pullups thats what it is. The only difference is that when u lock out ur muscles relax, so you have to restart them, it is alot harder.

control your food intake: eat healthy foods throughout the day and drink plenty of water. as far as pull-ups the easiest way to put it is listen to your body; if you are sore the next day take a day off, if not you can do them again.
@Shalexandra2189
@Shalexandra2189 12 лет назад
I think that depends on the person. if you do it one day and the next you are sore or those muscle groups seem more fatigued than normal, take a day off. Some people may need to do the same workout for 2 or 3 days to reach soreness or t fatigue the muscles to the point of needing rest. Play it by feel. Everyone's body reacts differently.

diamonds are meant to be done in a row, its already a complete workout if you do like 40 at once (mind the fact that me is obese and cant do too many dimes, ignore if ur fit). if you find that 40 diamonds is too easy..... try doubling each set or even tripling it :D hope you find this helpful

Do it as often as you can without hurting yourself, your muscles need time to recover, so maybe 2 times a week to start and work it up to 3-4 times a week. This is not a rule, but just to give you tips, I usually work 3, 4, or 5 sets of 8 reps. Just start working out, you'll feel it yourself what's right. Good luck, hope that helps.
