Vocabulary: lung, cougars stalk their preys, derogatory, the wind is rustling in the trees, what purpose does that serve?, you pitch the tente, crow's caw, boarding school, unmarked graves, turn a blind eye, sweep something under the rug, barn, grieve the bad. I like Canada about its pleasant living environment and natural landscapes. A lot of trees and bushes, low population density. the neighborhoods are quiet and peaceful. I love living in a quiet place alone or just with my lover. Sadly, the city I live now has a quite large population and the construction in my community keeps on day and night, making huge noise. That really drives me crazy.

My favorite things about Canada are freedom and human rights. According to statistics Canada is among top three in case of liberty. And I love people's attitude towards life, people are really nice and welcoming and they take their freedom and values very seriously.

The best thing I like about Canada is the excellent teacher of English on Mad English TV that lives in Canada and teaches us this sometimes weird language! When I saw the name of your today's video Happy Canada Day I wondered if you would talk in this video about that issue because I had just watched the BBC news about the rallies across Canada and that the unmarked graves at the territory of a former residencial school were found ... And you spoke about this issue and were so sincere. I didn't know anything about such kind of schools in Canada/ But recently I came across an article in an Englich textbook and it was about Canada's residential schools. I was in shock! Even more such schools existed also in Swiss and in Australia! Unbelievable that children were treated so badly so cruel in the 20th century. I just want to say that I understand your feelings. Happy Canada Day Mark 😃 What I love about Canada is its people that they're nice, tolerant, and polite and I like the nature. Well, that sad news about indigenous people is really heartbreaking but I really really hope that the issue will be solved and that they will live peacefully🙏 All nations were abused and mistreated around the world throughout history at some point but some were treated really badly and are till this day 😮😣 I hope the world will be a better place for all people and propaganda of racism will end 🙌 I believe that people of power and socialist system in socialist countries were endorsing racism but in an indirect way. So I think it's right that history is told but it shouldn't make one feel bad about the past or make them feel guilty and instead unite people. I know Canadians are really nice people and I wanna live in Canada coz I like Canadians. 🙌✌️

Many of Canadians did not celebrate (Canada's day the 1st of July) this year because of the discovery of so many unmarked graves of children in residential schools being found this year. I er 1000 and counting. A scar on the country, and a scab that has been ripped off as it reveals how poorly First Nations people have been treated. This year it was more of reflection than a celebration. My fav thing ABT Canada is piece and safety as well.

It's so sad that these criminal acts happened in Canada. Kind of hard to believe. When did crime happen and who was the Prime Minister at the time?

Hey Mark, happy Canada day! I live by the Fraser river in new Westminster! What I like about Canada is the freedom. Just like here you can publicly criticize what Canadian government did in the past, but in the country where I came from, that kind of dark history is forbidden from the internet, keywords are banned, posts are deleted, and you can really get yourself arrested of doing that.. such a tragedy! By the way I think talking about the sounds that different animals make could be a fun topic for a future episode, like crow caw, dog woof or birds tweet, that kinda stuff :)
