From a “Happy Days” retrospective featuring the original cast, the show’s creator Garry Marshall introduces bloopers and practical jokes. These are on RU-vid already, but this copy is of better quality.
Yeah, mind you I must admit if I had seen that back in the 70's, it would've been very helpful, making me feel more normal back in the day when that sort of stuff wasn't seen on TV, jesting or otherwise.
@@BabyFaceBren I hope that since then, things have improved for you! I think as long as you accept yourself for what you are, then screw what other people think! I think the Fonz would agree with me on that!
@@itiswhatitaintanditaintwha1427 For sure and all is cool (no pun intended), things have progressed (in some ways) and gay is just another option or genetics or environmental. I think the middle one myself and can't believe it would be anyone's choice, because I would've gone for the easier life (and being a dad) but life's been great, much because I don't have kids (I would be terrified for them now). It's just a shame that there weren't gay characters back then. My first encounter with homosexuality in film was "Pillow Talk" when Rock Hudson pretends to be gay (alluded to, of course, but I picked up on it at 12) to trick Doris Day into chasing him. The thing that disappointed me was not that he was using "being gay" to trick her (and wasn't THAT ironic, with Rock pretending he was straight to trick US!), I actually know a few guys who have tried that (until I stepped in to let them prove it!), it was how HORRIFIED Doris was and there was also a scene with Rock's doctor who also assumed he was gay and HE was also very upset and recommended PSYCHIATRIC COUNSELING! No one I knew ever talked of such things, no one in general did, but NOW I knew I was not alone... and how awful I was. I cried myself to sleep that night.
When I was 14, I went to go see a taping of the show. Henry Winkler had a line in a skating rink. His line was supposed to be “if God had wanted us to skate we would’ve been born with little wheels on our feet“ but he kept saying and I think it was three or four times“if God had wanted us to skate, we would’ve been born with little wheels on our heels“. It was exactly like this video. Everybody thought it was hilarious including him. A great memory. Coincidentally, at the time, I lived in Tarzana - one fire road away from Pat Morita‘s driveway.
@@Hyperbole77 a great memory to have! I only went to one taping of a sitcom when I was on holiday in LA in 1990 it was the pilot of a tv show based on “Big”. Never made it to air!
Forgot "The Third C" on "The Midwestern Maternal Heat Sitcom Index!" "Mrs. Carmen Carlson" Played by Miss Allyn Ann McLerie on "WKRP in Cincinnati!"😂😘🎤💃☀️📻📺B.W.
@jasonsabourin2275: And "The Third Mrs. C." of my personal "Midwestern Sitcom Maternal Heat Index!" Miss Allyn Ann McLerie who Played "Mrs. Carmen Carlson" on "WKRP in Cincinnati!"😂😘🎤💃👸☀️📻📺B.W.
Great stuff loved the show, I know that Henry Winkler did have a crush on Miss c. LoL but I like the one when fonz snaps his fingers and the guys come to him instead of the girls lol
It’s not a movie Massino, it was a 30 minute sitcom that came on once a week in the 70’s and 80’s, ran for 10 years. The name of the show is Happy Days Greetings from Orange Beach Alabama
@@timobrien8809 Sometimes they try to get a little too much out of a show because it was a huge hit, so they drag it out well after they should have had the finale.
I would hate to think I was the only one who noticed the garage was on the wrong side of the house from the beginning sequence of each episode. I noticed that when I was a kid LOL!
The whole layout of the Cunningham's house changed as soon as a live audience was added. Did you also notice what I noticed as a kid? The bathrooms at the diner don't make sense. From the outside the mens' is on the left and womens' is on the right, but when you enter the mens' room, you turn right (where the sink is, urinal behind). So WHERE is the ladies' room? Is it just a door? Keep your legs crossed TIGHTLY, girls!
@@BabyFaceBren Where do you notice the layout of the bathrooms from outside? Don't you have to be inside to see anything about the bathrooms? Guess I'm gonna have to watch some episodes and try to find out, don't remember noticing that.
@@bodeine454 there are many episodes with scenes in the diner with the toilet doors in view in the rear of the scene (sometimes characters - say Richie and Fonzie) go through the mens’ room door and continue the scene inside. The layout of the toilets, when seen from outside (the doors) is mens’ on the left and ladies’ on the right. BUT the layout of the mens’ room INTERIOR is sink and urinal and stalls to the RIGHT of the door. In other words, where the ladies’ toilet should be. Lots of scenes. Shouldn’t take you long to find it!
So is there nothing in your country (USA) that doesn't have political connotations? Many of you seem to be relating this post to politics & here I was just enjoying reminiscing about how much I used to enjoy watching it just for the laughs. So sad for you guys is all I can say. Greetings from someone in another part of the world.
Well said. I'm in Australia, so I can see what you are talking about, but in the USA they are in an angry political state of mind at the moment. Comments on videos stating tenuous links to left or right will dwindle after the election, unless Trump wins again (those poor Lefties will NEVER stop obsessing!)
@@BabyFaceBren Just to clarify: it's the whole country. Your leaders reacted swiftly to the pandemic. Ours did not. They played it down, claimed it was a hoax, said it would go away soon. The virus doesn't care about political affiliation. It goes after whoever it can. We need someone who will react against the virus, not against their own citizens - left or right.
Sadly, you are correct. I don't know if it will ever get better. No matter what the subject is, within just a few comments, someone will relate it to politics and we're off and running.
Boy, was I wrong about all that left and right shit dying down after the election. 10 months on and it's worse than ever, though not in this video's comments, thankfully.
You should do a little research. Several of her "Happy Days' colleagues helped, or tried to, with money and housing, but eventually, people have to take responsibility and help themselves. It is sad when someone with talent and opportunities can't rise above personal issues, but that's not a situation exclusive to Hollywood.
And apparently he was horrible to her. For some reason he liked to torment her, ignoring her when talking with cast and crew, criticising her acting. I've had trouble enjoying his performances after I heard that. MY dad looked remarkably like him and we called him "Howie". As I get older, I see myself turning into dad (and Howie).
We live in a free country why don't people show respect and not worry how someone is voting. That is know ones business.its gotten sickning how some people have started behaving.if they don't agree with you they go crazy and act like a kid and want to fight or even kill.
It's a shame people can't separate the performer from their politics. To think WD would LOVE Baio still, if ONLY he weren't a conservative! I prefer not to know a performer's politics, but they can't resist sharing their views, thinking our admiration for their skill interpreting someone else's words will have us salivating for the (often incredibly blinkered) opinions of their everyday (often uneducated, or Leftist-educated, even worse) brains. Though, because they ARE actors, their views are usually from the left. Ron Howard has his soapbox, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him for his great body of work. Replacing Baio in the recent "Happy Days" table read (assuming he'd even WANT to be involved) was a low, unprofessional act that speaks volumes. John Stamos should've declined the offer to replace him. So much for respect for a fellow actor.
Tim Allen is a conservative, and I still like him. Why? Because he's funny as hell. Baio? I liked better when he was Jack on Diagnosis Murder. It was a good role for him.
