The wife comes first alwaysssss biblically and otherwise. I'm a boy mom , two sons to be exact and I feel this way. I love my boys and I raised them to know this when they get married 💙 Happy Mothers Day to all of you💋

Thank you Adrienne and Loni for the right perspective on marriage. A mother doesn’t own her child forever. A mother's duty is to give birth and raise a good well moralled citizen. And once the child is grown up, that adult becomes a purpose partner with his spouse and they build a small kingdom of family and legacy together. And mother takes care of her son till college but a wife lives with her husband for 50 years. Gives birth to his kids, and is his most intimate support system in his life. I'm an Asian and let me tell you, Asians perspective on motherhood is they worship mothers as god. But we all know that a young bitchy woman becomes a bitchy mother in law too. And many divorces among Asian couples are because of mother in laws interferences. One time, my friend was slapped by her m.i.l. But my friend still tried to be a good daughter in law. She eventually got divorced with her husband. Now her ex husband keeps his new wife away from his mother. Asians view on mothers? Forget it, it's messed up.

When my kids get married, my expectations will be different for my children. I would take a step back and I would expect my child to put his wife before me. Putting his wife first does not mean disrespecting me. It's just that he thinks about his family (wife and kids) first.

When you’re married, your wife comes first! Like Loni said, a man and a woman become ONE! Putting your mom before your wife will definitely lead to problems in your marriage and possibly divorce! Putting your mom second does not equate to not loving them as much or disrespecting them. Of course keep them in your life, but now is the time to have a different woman (your WIFE!) first.

Jeannie's spiritual growth is so inspirational and has made everything come full circle in the most beautiful way, look at God being amazing in her life 🙇🏽‍♀️🥺🤍

I am going to cry when this show ends, I love these girls so much. It’s so different and wholesome than the rest.

My mom is my soulmate. I love my husband and I know I never have to choose between who I love more. My mom has a rare health condition that caused her to become blind over the past 13 years. I cut her food, I hold her hand when we are out. If my husband ever got jealous that would be strange. My momma first, my man first, my dad first, and me first❤️

I totally agree with Adrienne. It's two completely different loves. It's not the same.👏👏👏 I love my mother because she love me with unconditional love in human form. First there is God....then her! She represents for me what love is and should look like.❤💞❤

I dropped a tear when Jeannie answered Loni that her view towards her mother changed NOT when she became a Mother herself but when she got Saved. I got SAD appreciating this beauty of revealing one's inner truths and not just going by the obvious 😪 So humbling.

🙋Hello, mother of two sons here! I raised my sons to be MEN of God. I will always be their Madre and they will always love and respect me. I raised them to respect and honor The Lord, and I prepared them as best I could to be MEN who could lead their own families. Their wives come first, Period! One of my sons is getting married in September and the other is proposing to his Queen NEXT WEEK!!! I love both of my new daughters and they love me. It isn't a competition. Let me repeat that... 📣 *IT IS NOT A COMPETITION!!!!!* I'm not losing my sons. I've gained 2 daughters AND their parents and we are all close now, too. When you get married your spouse comes before everyone else. No one said that means that you ignore your parents and forget about them. But some parents done know boundaries and continuously overstep in their children's relationships.

I'm with Jeannie, a son should know how to take care of both women in his life. There's no need to put one above the other, both should be valued in your life. They don’t agree with the Bible when it’s not convenient to them, but the reality is that once you married you have to put the family you created first, it doesn’t mean you neglect your relationship with your parents but there is a reason why God says you become one with your wife. As soon as I got married my mom told me your husband comes first, and I love her for that and she has a great relationship with my husband, they love each other like mother and son. On the other side my mil was jealous of me when I married my husband and our relationship is just ok.

Yessssssss Adrienne!! A healthy, happy and mature woman will be okay and would encourage her son to put his wife first. It doesn't mean he forgets about his mother, it simply means his wife is now his priority. I have two sons so I have to prepare to accept this in my own life.

I love my mother… simply because she’s resilient… at 17 & 23 she had me and my brother while she herself was a baby and didn’t always have the answers butt she had the support of a wonderful family including my amazing grandfather, which he had the dream of having boys for grandchildren and she ended up being a boy mom , while she was a daddy’s girl ! Her heart for family , her humor , her tenacity , her strength , her wisdom, it all means so much to be able to take it all in & cherish her while doing so ! 💕💕

Thank God I had a healthy relationship with MIL. She was an amazing woman, she passed away unexpectedly. I still miss her so much 💔

Please please please dont cancel this show!!!! I cannot live without these ladies!! theyre like my sisters, always giving me knowledge and guidance!! They have helped me so much!

I'm a mother of daughters and a son,and I agree with adrienne it shouldn't even be compared it's a totally different kind of relationship, my son said no woman would come before me and I told him hell no your wife should always come first and if you choose right we will never have to worry about nothing because your mom and your wife will have a great relationship, because I know I will be a great mother in law God's will 🙏🥰

Just love your mom and your wife equally but in a different way. If your mom truly loves you she will teach you to respect your wife and if your wife truly loves you she will not give you an ultimatum and make you choose between her and your mother. She will tell you to honor your mother.

I used to ignore Mother's Day for a few years because ever since my mom died I didn't feel like I had a reason to celebrate Mother's Day. Now with my grandma having dementia I had another reason to feel like I didn't need to acknowledge this holiday because she doesn't even know what days are anymore and it's heartbreaking. But now I've reframed my opinion of this day because I have plenty of mother figures in my life who I have come across at different points during my 25 years on this Earth and each one of them are so important to me that I want to celebrate them and that's what I'm going to continue to do

There is a right answer. Its his wife however a good wife will be understanding to their unique familial situations. This is why its important to marry people with similar principles. My hubby and I absolutely respect our elders, especially our mothers. For example, when my mother in law visits us i automatically give her the front seat and vice versa for my mother. We both honor our mothers and as a loving wife i NEVER feel threatened by his love for his mother. To me thats beautiful that he loves her so much. I hope i grow to see our two sons honor their wives and let me love on them. Family is everything
