Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Cairo Abel thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I just listened to all the subs at guitar center side by side and this one blew them all out of the water in spl, even compared to ones 3x the price.. I don’t care if the amps shits itself in the next 3 years cuz I got the pro coverage, I’ll just either swap it after jacking the speaker for a blown one or block off the plate an run a rack amp on it
I got a set of these from guitar center for 600. I didn’t expect too much from them but man oh man… these things are loooooud. Very good subs for the price 8/10 no doubt.
I should say these were originally paired with a set of eon 612’s. I later upgraded the eons to a set of prx835 and felt no need to upgrade from these subs.
Dude I have the same Sansui amp! My dad bought it in Korea in 1975 when he was stationed there. I have the matching speakers and turntable as well! Haha
Wonder if you would mind doing a comparison against JBL EON18S? I have both and the Harbingers destroy them. I am having a very hard time with this and would like a second opinion. I know the VARi is rated for a higher peak output, but I would think the JBL's would at least be able to keep up to some extent.
I have these subs and I am pleased with the sound. I am using JBL EON 15in for tops and the sound is awesome. I would recommend these subs to any DJ/Band out there!!
Your videos are awesome.. order a replacement QSC driver or RCF driver and put it in the Alto box.. I would love to see how the combo does... We're only talking $800-$900 bucks total instead of $1500- $2500 might be worth the woofer swap.
I know I'm a couple years late the party on watching this, but I'd be interested to know why the reaction to the amp was so negative. What did you see that freaked you out so much? Seems odd to judge an amp on looks alone, no?
Brcareful it is not 2400 watts it is about 600 constant i bought 4. It sounded like a bluthtooth speaker from a gas station. It clips at clipping and even on low volume. The driver is made at ToysRUS
Come on , I'm shure this subwoofer gives you a great bass. I mean it is a huge box and really heavy . Some folks just don't k ow how to mix their music
Nah man I just bought some. It really doesn’t. At low volume it actually does clip. You have to balance the mains with the subs well to blend it. You aren’t getting QSC quality with these obviously. Idk about the gas station reference lol but he’s still not lying.
Those are Polk audio stereo dimensional array speakers popular in the'80s through early 90s. Those are four six and a half inch woofers couple to a large passive radiator. Interesting design with one woofer in each cabinet being wired out of phase to minimize crosstalk and create a wider Sound Stage. They were considered somewhat radical at the time but a nice sounding speaker nonetheless
Sound engineering is not one of my knowledge base, but i have always wanted to get one of these and replace the woofer with something like a Sundown or Skar Super high excursion car subwoofer... i did thst with my 400 watt blown Onkyo subwoofers and it is soooo much better..
Just got the V2318S sub today. Took it to practice, immediately broke. White and red light flashing and no sound. So far... Not so good. The manual doesn't even mention this issue.
I have this sub. To me it sounded hallow.. and not deep. Do I need to keep playing with the settings or is this how this sub is? Already thinking of returning it and getting an ev elx200 18
I'm a DJ and Music Producer and I have an issue, I have this Sub as well as two 12" 2000 watt monitors, a track im about to release is mixed and mastered and all of the frequencies sound great except the E note around 45 HZ. Does anyone notice that the notes around 50-40 HZ are not hitting loudly on this sub?
I know this is an old comment, but did you ever sort out the issue? Would seem that you'd have the issue on multiple sound systems. I'm certain your track would be played on other devices like headphones and mobile devices as well? Certain sounds don't reproduce reliably. I've had kick drums for example that sound great when facing the speakers, but sounds completely different listening on an off axis.
@@slapopimp Hey ya so I realized it was never an issue with the Sub because after playing my track on very big sound systems (including a stadium show I did where I opened for T-Pain) my tracks sounded fine the sub just doesnt hit well under 50hz!
I need a phone number to the store to get one. I just need to replace a replacement woofer Speaker hat blowing out I just need 18 inch woofer to put back in the box. If you had the phone number or email to the store. Can you send it please?
I have 2 of these….it’s a decent sub for crowds of under 100. These are extremely easy to clip can’t get past turning it up a quarter of tha way up before it starts to clip. Not truly meant for hip hop at all. Did 3 gigs with them so far. I clipped damn near tha whole night.
You just don't know how to mix ur music. I have the smaller 12 inch harbinger subwoofer. I do dj or band and they blast lots of bass. I run a guitar with 60 heartz bass frequency and no clip at all. No I can imagine this 28 sub will be such of upgrade. BTW with the 12s I can do about 100 people outdoors
@@Cj_DaDj334 when your speaker or amplifier pass the max level of volume that they are build for , than the sounds coming out are distorted sounding terrible like broken that means that they no longer receive a sinusoidal wave length but a square one.
I am sure this is the only English-speaking video on YT for this sub. I have the EV ELX200 18sp subs, and I can bet that these Harbingers are much better, for $200 less. I'll be heading over to Guitar Center for a trade-in!
returned mine after 2 gigs of testing..don't like the frequency response amp is easy to clip..got the refund and added to purchase a bose f1 subwoofer..twice the price of harbinger but very good quality sounding compact subwoofer..
Yeah we noticed the incredibly touchy gain knob. Almost like the input limit is 500mv not even a full volt. Sloppy job on amplifier. But we liked everything else about it!
@@2DudesAudio hated the clipping level on it,,you can make it sound louder but at a price of frequency around upper 120hz..if you want below 100hz shaky clean low boomy bass,,look somewhere else..i was hoping to get a way with cheap 18 subs but with great quality low frequency power comes a higher price tag
You can't judge an amp based on how it looks ... as long as it's properly sealed from the outside it won't make any difference not being closed on the inside, apart from extra convection cooling from air movement . The alto probably used an enclosed amp module so you can't see the shitty components they used 🤣
This sub looks like a cheap clone of the more expensive PreSonus Air18s, with an identical looking bass driver, same ported cabinet system but lacks the digital dsp screen and extended frequency response down to 30hz -3db. If you guys can do a teardown of the PreSonus AIR18s sub that would be great.
