Yep, definitely have to consider the time to complete the task. Just keep in mind that the higher the flow rate the more frequent pumping required to maintain adequate and consistent pressure.

Thanks so much for this. I am new to lawn care and am about to apply Prodiamine with my HF backpack sprayer, but was curious if other nozzles would work with it, specifically TeeJet.

Thank you for posting the video. The flow rate on the HF tip is very slow.

You're welcome. Yes, the HF tip is much slower, comparatively. I suppose it would be good for spot treatments but would take a while to apply a broadcast spray unless applying a high concentration (more active ingredient to less water).

Hi Wayne. When you say 3 way speed nozzle are you describing one that adjusts from stream to cone to fan pattern? If so, you can visit thefountainheadgroup.com and go to the replacement parts section. There are some nozzle options there but I don't know if the threads are the same as those on the HF sprayer wand.

Hi Wiseman. This is a good question. I don't know for sure, but I believe the 2 gallon has a different nozzle setup than the 4 gallon.

I'm pretty sure the Husqvarna 2 gallon pump sprayer from Lowes is compatible with teejet. I say this because I have the replacement wand from Husqvarna that they sell and it takes teejet. The Field King battery powered unit accepts teejet nozzles also.

I haven't come across any of the less expensive ones that do, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Though I can't illustrate the different spray patterns in a reply to your comment, I can run a quick test to determine flow rates if that would be helpful. Great video! Thanks. I'm not having luck with the Teejet sprayer. When I replace the default nozzle with the Teejet nozzle, I get a more pressure on only one side of the nozzle. It's most likely due to the way I'm tightening the cap that holds the nozzle, maybe. I've tried playing around with the tightness of the cap with different results. Did you experience anything like that or do you have any advice on that?

Hi Suhas. I did not experience this issue. I used the cap and rubber washer that came with the Harbor Freight sprayer and just inserted the TeeJet nozzle. Have you checked to make sure there is not a piece of debris in the nozzle hole?

I love your videos. You and I are very alike when it come to doing things. The way TeeJet nozzles are sized is: The last 2 number represent the gpm @ 40psi. The numbers before, mostly 2 or 3, represent the angle of the spray. That series come in both 110* and 80*. So you have a 11004; 110* angle, .4gpm. If you tried 11003VS I would think it would be more to your liking. www.teejet.com/CMSImages/TEEJET/documents/catalogs/broadcast_nozzles.pdf

Steve, I really appreciate this comment. Thank you! I knew how the 110* and 80* was reflected in the nozzle numbers but didnt know about the flow rate at 40 psi correlation. Makes total sense after revisiting the nozzle specs. This was very insightful and I'm sure others will learn from it as well.
