I love watching his video's because I learn so much from such high level gameplay but I don't think I've ever heard him say a positive thing about this game lmao
you have to understand when you have played the game as long as these guys have, or rather when you play ANY game for long enough, you learn to hate it, lol there are LOTS of things wrong, and annoying with Darktide, but many people just gloss over them cause the game is beautiful, and fun. (rose colored glasses) these guys have looooong since threw away their rose colored glasses lol, so all they see is what the game SHOULD be. hence the saltyness
this fight was not fun and neither were the twins I have the most funs in true duos but it doesn't really come through on videos because we're so focused we sound like zombies
@@vivladi3899 there's a lot of positives but there's only so much praise you can give to a solid foundation that's constantly undermining itself thankfully the private test server seems to be yielding some very positive results, and even though it took a year they almost fixed dogs, fixed mutant knockup, fixed bomber stun, fixed flamer instant strip the price for all of it was the worst networking issues the game has seen since launch also the new weapons are cool
@@ruffwm i don't think it's rose tinted glasses as much as more casual enjoyment the average player will never know what it's like to chain crash at the end event of an hour long true duo
You make me feel horrible at this game. You absolutely blitzed these nerds and your only comment on the fight was "This is pathetic," I have a long way to go before I can call myself good
it's just abusing zealot and chain weapons in a fight that barely spawns anything, while knowing the shield breaking gimmick in a coordinated 4 man, it's really nothing special apparently gunlugger fire ticks go straight through the shield too if you want to extra cheese it
Idk me and my friends thought it was cool, feels way more like an actual fight compared to the captains who don't do anything and die instantly. Only complaints were the inbetween phases where you stand in the gas and kill shit cause those are boring and the fact the arena is just a big circle with nothing in it
Why are you glad twins ambushes are gone? It was a very very very very fun mechanic...... Btw me and buddies on your server managed to finish hardmode in 5:40, but damn the payoff ain't worth at all man.
@@telopots yeah, people just doesn't know what to do in first day and probably never expirience fights like Twin Emperors or Romulo and Julianne(if FS goes completly wild, they probably also alow Twins to resurect each other). Also innability to adjust your builds and rate teammate revive over damage dealing. Also crashes, out of memory...
The sister’s melee and speed stuff is really cool to me. I’m hopeful that finds it’s way elsewhere. The tox gas I have to bet gets reused elsewhere too; tox gas bomber? Managed to beat the hard mode in a pub, was myself+ friend and a random duo. Relic zealot, taunt shield ogryn, gun Psyker, and assail Psyker. It’s an extremely fun fight imo, reminds me of the scythe boss in Verm 2 (castle drachenfels I think?). It’s a fun dynamic imo as a mission end boss. I get the feeling we’re going to get another ‘surprise’ content drop around Christmas or shortly after the new year revolving around taking steps unto Wolfer. And I might be dreaming but the admech enginseer in carnival pt2 makes me very hopeful for an admech related character drop/teaser. The enginseer seems ‘kinder’ than Hadron and rather interested in assisting us avail Tertium to get the factories running again.
the sister is absolutely awful with her constant anime dash spam tox gas bomber was datamined partially and has concept art i hated the boss fight, it's a lame static "beat on the big guy for 5 minutes" encouted in a tide game, and none of the gameplay of tide game works for encounters like these when there's no horde management, kiting, sniping going on, there's nothing going on comparing it to nurgloth seems wild to me, he was so close to be well designed he made me nearly entirely reconsider how I view Lord encounters and their place in tide games, the karnac fight and scab captains quickly demonstrated it was the exception I wouldn't get my hopes up for a new character
@@telopots the enemy spawn points and how they flow into the fight could be better. Maybe the twins would go into the middle (like how nurgloth would raise into the center) and regen their shield next to eachother, and *maybe* slowly taking turns shooting while you do the -tide things (kiting etc as you said, the things that get overshadowed by being forced to whack a big bad the whole time)? And the “run to the safe zone” bit reminded me of the danger zone rings he’d spawn, albeit an individually slower sequence. Otherwise I found the actual boss fight very hype and fun. It feels like a duel, and the horde enemies still impose a a present threat. I didn’t have any particular moment that made me think “this X thing is really dumb or sucks”. I personally didn’t experience the sister’s dashes in a spammy fashion or I don’t see it that way. The dashes are cool and rather threatening. She can change target focus fast which makes it imperative that your team is actually paying attention and close together. I’m glad to hear the tox could be used with that datamined bomber enemy. And I hear ya on not getting too hopeful on a new character; if it took them this long to finally implement the skill tree they wanted on launch I’d be hard pressed to logically believe they’d have a character fully fleshed and kitted out (maybe visually designed if anything but not functional). Though I still hope. Iirc one of their old blogposts mentioned wanting to release new classes/archetypes (whatever word they used) every quarter of the year. I may be thinking of something else or entirely wrong to be fair. I have to bare in mind we’re essentially a year deep into the first real months of the game’s content. Rannick even says in the boss mission that Zola’s initiative, if failed, would set the war band back “weeks” of progress. “Weeks”. Either in ‘lore’ the progress we’ve made has been very little compared to an optimal strategic timeline, Rannicks reference point isn’t the beginning of deployment to Tertium, or this entire update should’ve occurred in the first 1-2months of the game’s launch in reference to being a live service.
@@Dewmuss I assess what they do very objectively I thought mercantile was a good map that could be made great with a few tweaks, a lot of the new weapons are cool, changes to shred attacks are exactly what we've wanted for a year when I have a problem with something there are logical reasons for it that I can explain in detail, I don't just randomly hate anything fs puts in the game, that's retarded
@@telopots that’s why I’m okay with disagreeing with a thing even if I seem silly, and dont see you as hating to be edgy. You got reasons for it and it’s always interesting to hear them out. Ultimately we’d all like to see the game get good content and things be better refined and tested prior to implementation
I Had a hard time playing this hard mode as a vet with a gunpsyker teammate asking everyone to play piss shouting. It was horrible with the constant hit stun and broken audio of specials and lack of damage. I guess it is harder if noone runs googoogaga zealot chain charge. You are right on the money that this mode invalidate most gameplay style. Feels like a different game.
you can hit the bells at the start of the mission the bell we hit is the one to go to the hard mode, at least one person in the strike team needs to have unlocked it for it to work
played this first time last night and crashed during the loading screen, after i jumped back in there were 4 players and a bot. 5 person strike team definitely helped
Brittleness with bloodletter is my go to for cheesing assassination missions. Never been a fan for boss fights in fps games, but hey im not complaining. Sad no new weapons or characters though! Hopefully another patch before they go on break to fix some bugs and ill happily bugger off till theyre back.
While I am glad that the story is going...somewhere. And we're getting new weapon marks, which is nice. But I just can't get a desire to jump in and play. I've only gotten around to maxing the non-ogryn classes and now I just have to constantly hope that they eventually make it easier to get weapons you want. Most of my weapons have mediocre rolls, and I feel that mediocrity every time I try and play through damnation. I got a bit excited with a few of the new weapons and then realized I would have to spend hours grinding away in the game to try and get good enough rolls on them to get one I'm happy with, just for one of the weapons. So I just end up doing literally anything else. Really hope the game continues to get better and eventually feels more worth the time and effort.
