I was thinking of going left at that moment....but the risk of spinning the #9 car was too high :) It would have been a shame after such great racing from everyone.
I'm new to VR and man, you make the car looks so controlled and smooth! I'm sliding all over the place still haha. Great racing! Any chance you could add telemetry like Gas/Brake pressure?
Welcome to the VR club man! It will take some getting used too. I am planning on adding telemetry in the near future. Only reason I haven't so far is I'm literally at the limit of my GPU. If I add 1 more browser input the stutters start :) But I've been optimising my bitrate further so hopefully soon 😊
Until then...If I had to give advice (which would be a terrible idea - you seen my iRating 😉)...with the MX5 - less is more. I dont think I ever brake more than 50%...and come off nice and smooth..no quick lift. The MX5 is very sensitive to its weight balance and that same reason is why you can use the weight shift via brake pressure to turn the car more or less. So use the brakes to turn the car :)
@@TheVRRacer I'll take that advice! I'm half your irating bahahaha. I'm often very heavy on brakes and lift hard, sliding on entry, annoying to recover from. I will try being smoother but then I feel like I'm breaking so early!
I went back to look at the telemetry. 50% was a bit ambitious 😁....but I never braked more than 70%(ish). And that was only for the last corner...but I roll the brake off as I turn in. Just want to make sure I give accurate info. Just felt like 50%. Dont worry about the iRating. That will come naturally as you develop your racing. You get the braking under control and I guarantee it will jump up fast! Good luck bud.
Pretty much what you see here is what I use. I have Crew Chief which acts as my radar and all info I need and I sometimes use the in-car blackbox. I also sometimes use the virtual mirror but anything else I find is just a distraction. I hope this is what you were asking when meaning HUD.
Just pointed out to me....you may be referring to the Overlays. The Standings and Trackmap are from Racelabs. I can't see those in the headset. All the replays are from iRacing replay :)
