The ramp shaver was gnarly 😱👀. Adjusted my steering twice out there. She kept pulling right on full throttle. Probably a hub or wheel issue, maybe a dying bearing...I'll have to investigate. Will say I got lucky only breaking an arm and driveshaft though 😂. Big Red would do fine at the skatepark, but she is 10lbs heavier. Appreciate the comment Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Really fun stuff rich that double in the 360 was awesome and I had the same problem with that servo saver with turning left, I would crank down, and after a few runs, it would come back again not sure why it would return all the time?

Dude... wicked sick video dude! That thing wants to float like it's on the moon. One of the sickest airs is on the 3/4 pipe when you ride it like a full pipe and transfer side to side. Me and my boyfriend are super fans, up here in the great white North we have a couple of small skateparks but nothing like the clover leafs etc that you got. I love your carving style and super big airs. Some of those chassis slaps in the bottom of the pool were legend. Built insanely tough. Duperbash approved.😅😂

@@richduperbash2966 yes up here in Canada all of our older parks weren't allowed to have vertical or coping... something to do with safety. Wankers 😂 the only way we could get it was building big ramps but then over the the last 20 years sanity prevailed and our newer park's have them. The old park's are wicked too though because alot of them consist of snake runs with bowls at the end used to be a carvers paradise. Lots of hips too. Wish I could send you some pics.

@@richduperbash2966 sounds like we were going through the same things. UT your guys parks were privately owned right? Like del mar and places like that? Here all of the parks are open to the public with no fees. I this that's why in the 80s they didn't want vert or coping. We had skate ranches like Kevin Harris's place in Richmond but it was all ramps covered in Masonite. Definitely no RC's allowed during business hours but Kev would let us go in after hours. Me and "Shakey" and "Sluggo" would skate there in the early 90s then I would whip out my old Tamiya. lol

That full pipe go-around is fun! What are your wooden ramp specs? I've got a 4x8 sheet of particle board propped up on some cinder blocks currently. It is nicely rounded from laying out in the rain. lol I need to build a nice take-along ramp or two... Is there a place with build plans, or did you just wing it?

Hey Rich, would appreciate some advice: I have a heavy 6s Kraton converted to EXB diffs with ALL the M2C upgrades, HR bulkheads, running stock tires and heavy Powerhobby belted 3.8's for the colder MI months. I'm changing from a 1650kv 4092 with Max6 on 8s with 16T pinion to a 1250kv 4092. I have a basic, double 30mm Powerhobby fan heatsink combo that plugs into the ESC. Definitely not high end cooling, but it's what I can handle and afford now. The question is: what size pinion should I use? I have Tekno pinions in 16, 18, and 20T. Will still be running 5200mah's on 8s. Changing the EXB center diff to 100k with a dab of 500k mixed in. The 1 million made for constant, annoying wheelies. I don't do stunts like you, but I do tend to do a lot of continuous, hard acceleration run-times.
Bro that half pipe backflip is sick. Do the diff housing covers make a difference? I keep blowing my rear diff, every 5 runs or so, I land semi flat with no throttle about 15 ft.
Thanks Brother 😁. Yes, the alloy diff covers and the HR suspension tie plates under the skids truly help lock the gears and bulkheads better. The stock covers are way too thin. Once the cover bottom screw points crack, your diff loses position and the teeth get jacked. A cracked upper or lower bulkhead can let gears slip and strip too. 🍻
Hi guys, I’m new on xmaxx and love it. Just wondering if there’s some tips to upgrade the handling? I don’t know how to jump so I’m very happy just bashing it on field. This shock 7mm upgrade does help handling and control? Thanks 🙏
The XMaxx is notorious for being bouncy, tipsy, and overall clumsy in the handling department 😂. Exact opposite of the ARRMA Outcast 8s. Stiffer suspension can help stability, but a wider stance makes the biggest difference. That's possible by going full wide kit or what I've done with the M2C Racing +15mm extended axels plus their 24mm hexes to fit better, more stable tires and widen the overall stance.
Great question Steve 🤗. The stock gears are truly junk. Some kind of casted pot metal 😂. I've had sporadic rear ring gear failures plus a couple input gears. Judicious throttle control and lighter wheel sets are your best bet. I finally broke down and bought Vitavon machined spiral gears for my XRT, but haven't installed them just yet. 🍻

Rich good job on another banger! So I've built my x maxx same as yours 25/30 gearing max5 1100kv motor. I started out on punch level 3 it got hot fast. I turned it up to 5 and am going to try again. Does your can get pretty hot?
Thanks Josh 🤗. I'm running punch 5 without problems thus far. Temp wise, I generally stay under 150F motor and maybe 120's ESC. I have gotten hotter with bigger Duratrax wheels in the summer heat though. Under 160 is still safe. Lots of starts and stops on loose surfaces or repeated full throttle rips will warm things up.
@richduperbash2966 so I am getting to 175 pretty fast esc is cool 110 usually. May e it's just how this setup wants to run. It hasn't helped running on 100 degree days. You called it in the tires I have my proline mx43 on right now maybe I'll try the back flips out.
@@joshherrman3201running the Backflips will take significant load off the motor 👍. Assuming your bearings and drivetrain are running smoothly, you could try a 35T spur as well if you like bigger/heavier wheels. 25/30 is pushing the envelope with the 1100. Lots of guys seem happy with 25/35 mod 1 setups as well.
@richduperbash2966 Yes, bearings and everything is brand new and smooth. I bought it and did the m2c beefcake kit right outa the box. I just copied your setup, basically. It seems like your cars are an open Bible of us folks that are lazy like me. Lol, I usually run the prolines just cuz they don't balloon as bad. I may pick up a 35t spur and try that. I did 500k front and 200k rear. I just haven't opened the center diff yet. You think the 800kv would make a big difference or try the spur?

Thanks so very much Chris 🤗. Yes ...I grew up on 2 wheels riding BMX and MX. Started skating also at probably 13-14 with my Jr high buddies, street and vert. The Losi is very intriguing for sure. A big turn off was seeing bent spokes early after the release. I'm waiting to see how the upgrades and stock durability play out with it. Yes I'm very interested, but wasn't 100% compelled to grab one upon release. I am super impressed with the tech involved and focus on scale realism 👀
I haven't had her out in months. The motor mesh needs modding. Putting the main set screw into plastic housing was a terrible design 😂. I'll get it sorted and get the Maxx out again sometime soon 🍻
Hey rich i have clicking sound in my xmaxx and cant seem to figure it out i have max 6 1100kv 25/30 gearing but really powerful fans from hyper flow have vitavon gears diffs yeah need help
If it sounds like gear clicking, you might check the idler gear under the rear spur bearing cover. Could also be the center diff gear it mates with. Other thoughts are clicking from a bent center driveshaft or a hub and wheel sound. Hope you get it sorted Ronnie 🍻

The stock motor on max punch with 16T pinion can flip no problem. Favorite tires are the dboots Backflips 6s. I use the stock 50T spur gears. For crazy power, the Hobbystar 4092 1730kv with 20-22T pinion or Hobbywing Max6 combo 1650kv 22T pinion.

@@dave90678 if it's the 2200kv, it will be prone to overheating. Best used in smaller 6s buggies. The 4985 1650kv is much better suited. Check that your mesh isn't too tight and bearings are healthy.

Thank you Brother 😁. Testing can sometimes be a challenge, but the focus is getting bits 100% right before production 👍. I love Green Bertha with the upgrades and power setup, but she's tried my patience like no other from the beginning 😂. Definitely not as tough in stock form as guys want to believe. My hot racing bell crank for my mini Maxx fails turning left to first for some reason been through 2 of them and always is left side gunna try vitavon next bit harder alloy might last longer
Not sure, but could be the saver tension or a leverage difference between left and right. I'm still sporting the stock steering set up. The Maxx is great for skatepark duties, but I hate the handling off road. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 my saver tension is practically locked it folds the metal on the bell cranks were the spring is but left side folds faster then the right lol know it's to tight but don't like play in the servo saver if could lock it out completely i would and they def don't have the best handling off road I use arrma katars make a huge difference tho find them far better then bad lands just to light to do air tricks
