Thank you! I'm glad you like it! Feel free to check out my other videos as well. On the subject of "fees", I am hoping to eventually get enough subscribers and watched hours to monetize this channel.
@@PolyhedralVideo I'll root for you to get there eventually :) You got a pleasant voice (especially for corporate instruction videos, apparently, lol) and a cute cat. Important prerequisites for a RU-vid career xD
Thank you! I will see what I can do, now that the game is out of early access. Are you looking for more training-style videos, or basic demonstrations?
When it came to removing, I tried using the longways cutter and I blew up the engine. I used the pinpoint cutter on the other 3 and had time to cut the fuel. The last time I cut the fuel, the pressure killed me. Two deaths and 90 min. Later, I got the achievement. Thanks for the video.
Thx for the video. I blew up my first thruster yesterday and was wondering how to do it. Guess I am just too darn slow. Tried again today on the second thruster, confident it would work after watching your video, and it promptly blew up again! lol Happy salvaging.🤣
this was really helpful, returning to the game after a few months and just wanted to make sure im doing it right. the training video style was unique and appreciated.
This was really helpful! Normally, i seperate the engine from the ship before i remove the thruster, but this process works way better since the risk of the two casings crushing you when you pull the emergency shut-off is lower because it is still attached to the ship.
You can also use the grapple to free one of the coolants. By gently banging it against the metal, you can cause it to start to spray. Holding the the grapple prevents it from escaping and you can use that to freeze the points. Now when you cut the frozen points, the leak will not catch fire, allowing you to have more time at the cost of a negligible canister.
Thank you very much! I hope to do more videos based on this game, and perhaps do some other tutorial videos as time allows. Thanks for subscribing, and feel free to tell your friends about this channel!
I'm probably late to the party, but there's another way to do this safer, not every time though. Every now and then these Quasars come with small coolant units right under access panel. You can just take one such unit, break it so it starts leaking and then use it to freeze the pipes connected to engine. After that you can safely cut the pipes without fuel ignition.
Thanks for this one Eric! I used to use demo charges.. last time I placed them wrong an made a mess lol! I havnt seen you since Frontier flight simulator. Just havnt been watching so much as doing!
This was really helpful. I tried demo chrages on the back, but that didn't quite work as planned. The injector tanks just blew up lmao. At least I was still able to get the thrusters that way, but you way is way more elegant.
I blew up the first one because i was looking for the way to the shutoff valve from outside, I blew the second one because I was too slow ;D Now I see the plan was allright, I just looked for the shutoff valve on the controllers in the middle not on the back. Thnx for video.
I keep having this problem with the side panels, not sure if it’s a glitch. Every time I use a tether on the massive side panels, they keep getting wedged in the middle of the two disposals, this has happened 4 times in one game.
Tether the sides to the man jack first to pull them forward, then tether one end of the panel to the processor. I think the furnace suction force keeps them locked in place
Very nice presentation! Weaver's "instructions" are next to useless, and I've been dancing around this Atlas Scout, nervous about what I can/can't dismount from the ship.
In case of emergency shutoff malfunction, please exit the engine nacelle quickly. In case of fuel line explosion, you may feel temporary discomfort until your next Everwork(TM) spare is activated. An activation fee will be assessed to your account.
After I hit the release I seem to get crushed half the time, normally on a ship with 4 thrusters when I release the bottom ones. Any tips to avoid this?
same. always get crushed. seems grabbing hold with your hands prevents this though! (though tricky to get it right and you need to hold on for quite a few seconds right after you pull the release)
excelent. i wasted half a shift buzzing around thrusters of atlas scout. everything else is broken, just those 2 engines left to do. so... where do i send my creds for the video fee? i expect there is a joy tax and a mandatory thumbs up in the package, right?
I agree, and it echoes what I've seen in the real world: Dealing with equipment designed by people who neither had to repair or disassemble their creations, nor considered the challenges faced by those who do.
The game is still in early access at this time, but a recent posting to the game's news section on Steam indicates a "full release" date of May 24, 2022. The full release will contain a proper end to the game's storyline. Details can be found here at steamcommunity.com/app/1161580/allnews/ . Thanks for watching!
While riskier, splitsaw cuts on the fuel pipes are faster. Once you cut the first one, you're racing the clock to remove the engine, get to the front of the nacelle, and pull the release.
@@PolyhedralVideo that is entirely fair for a sufficiently skilled cutter. But even then, why not apply this same time saving method where there is no danger of breaking valuables, like when releasing the thruster Nozzles where all materials surrounding the cut point are impervious to misplaced cuts.
