makes it more sturdy if you put a thin piece of plywood underneath

I would've laid them horizontal and not vertical just so I'm able to get the spare tire out.

It’s flexible cause you need a thin piece of plywood to hold them together … can’t just put them together

2016 3.8 rspec here (empire state gray) and I guess I'm out of the loop.....why do this? Is it just for looks?
