yes, there is hate... pain... suffering... ego... violence... and a lot of bad things in the world, but there is also peace, love, wisdom, control, compassion, forgiveness and a lot of good things in this world, I feel how bansuri music kills al the bad things in me and in a certain way it also kills the bad things out there... Bansuri makes the good things come to life, if you feel bad, then listen this music because the sound of this flute tells "i know, it hurts but look, here is God".
This raga was composed by Pundit Hariprasad Chaurasia as a tribute to his dear friend Shiv Kumar Sharma. Hence the name Shiv-Anjali. It was only performed once at Stuttgart when Shiv Kumar Sharma was in the audience. It has not been recorded in a studio or performed since..........
Saw him perform on asi ghat in varanasi in the 90's . Looking at the ganges filled with floating candles...can not tell you how special that was. Out of this world!!
Hariprasad Chaurasia knows how to produce sound so well that you believe you're listening to nature singing to you. What a blessing to simply have these recordings available to us. Gratitude gratitude thank you.
You repeat what you've been taught by man. Your soul knows you're in a false religion filled with idols & images that are man-made. Your statues have no power or concern. Your prayers are wasted on mounds of clay. God said he will not allow idol worshipers into heaven, so, repent, for God loves you with an everlasting love & doesn't want to lose one soul..
Like the cosmic bond between Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva is the blessed friendship between the maestros Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia. This raga composed by Hari-ji ('Shivaanjali', i.e tribute to 'Shiva') as a tribute to Shiv-ji is testament to this enduring affinity between Shiv-Hari, two of the greatest maestros of classical music to walk in the mortal world. Hari Om! Om Namah Shivay!
a whistle, a whisper, a sigh, a moan, a soft cry, a humming bird, a breath, breathing, the wind, the trees are alive , the silence in between, and no words were spoken...
Raag Shivanjali is a divine Night Raag, it instantly calm you down and now you can focus on your breath, yes now you are in meditation and all sounds are gone and silence is speaking. It's you.... talk with yourself... Exceptional Art. Divine, Soothing and powerful.

@@beantrader4723oh… great… you met God… awesome… He told you about Heaven… where is it 😅 The religion you mentioned here ….sees everything we see… we hear… we smell.. we feel and experience as divine… the earth, sun, the universe are divine… the soil, plants animals as divine…It teaches how to see towards the inner self… its a way of living… there comes the power of this music… hearing this music with closed eyes will carry us to the deeper and deeper inside… make us to feel more peaceful, joyful and blessed 🎉 You mentioned the religion of idols and images… I like to ask one thing… will you spit on your dear one’s photo? If yes, I have nothing to say… but if not… why?? You are seeing your loved ones in that photo… like that some people see God in some forms… that’s their belief Actually… why are you blaming the cultures… as there are a lot of paths to get to some place we wish… this is also another path… anyway these are all my understanding… thank you 🎉
Thank you master! Mr Krishna, you gave me water when the well was dry. You give me reoccurring life. To know this music is to know life beyond slavery! To be reborn as the wind in the rushes. The child of the Bansuri.
So easy to focus on your breath while listening to this. It instantly calms the mind down, and makes it so easy to get into a meditative state. The power of flute music, especially pieces like this is unparalleled. Salute to the Master!

I would argue that being aware and accepting, even trying to love the negatives as part of existance as well is better than chasing after 'positives'... go in the darkness and you will find the light
acidfastabhi Hi, I am a medical doctor specialised in well-being, Antiaging and prevention of cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. No I don't have a research Program on Indian classical music and it's healing powers but I do recommend it .I hope I can some day go to India to study this more in depth
I am always arguing with myself that if there was only one choice between sight and hearing then sight would be more important to humans than hearing to see this beautiful world. Then I listen to the soul touching music and I have conflicted views and I ask myself how can one live their life without music.
Seeing is limited and listening is much more deeper. Your ear can take you to the great peace. Just listen with totality without judging and interference.
Totally agree with 'Victor Crown's" comment up there. We don't need the United Nations at all. We need this music and all the peace and comfort it brings. Like "The Enlightened" have been saying for thousands of years, the world will become peaceful only when each individual person learns to become peaceful. We all know it. And I think without a doubt that music will be the medium to fulfill what some call God's divine will for Peace on Earth. Love this raag also. Namaste
Yeah, like India is free of chaos & insurrection! You repeat what you've been taught by man. Your soul knows you're in a false religion filled with idols & images that are man-made. Your statues have no power or concern. Your prayers are wasted on mounds of clay. God said he will not allow idol worshipers into heaven, so, repent, for God loves you with an everlasting love & doesn't want to lose one soul.
@@juancarlossaavedra4505 I didn't believe either, but this music changed my mind. I believe in God not as an omniscient and omnipotent entity but just as something unknown that flows in this world. I prefer not to try to know it, let it be as mysterious as this piece of music.
Shivanjali is a very serene melody with the touch of coolness of a moon lit night. Shivanjali is a combination of two raags- Malkaunsh and Jog Kaunsh. It will be more appropriate to call it a late night melody ( ratri ka aakhari prahar ) and i think it will be fitness of things if the the back drop is changed from a golden glow of a dawn on a mountain peak to a silver shine of a full moon on lake water. Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia ji has brought out the inner beauty of this raag in all its splendor and i therefore suggest this raag Shivanjali needs to be heard by all music lovers again and again.
BHANU JOSHI I read the detail in your comment... I would like to ask you if theres any source to read about Raags more.. like how many are there and how what they represent and can a person read and know them just for knowledge or need an instrument to practise.. is there any way i can learn or any book u can recommend.?...thanks.
Instead of dawn on a mountain peak, I see it as the last rays of the a late afternoon sun touching the mountain tops as it hides behind further away mountain peaks, ready to make its round, and come back in full force the next day.
@Iamalready Healed No, it is not bad. You can listen to it any time it will be calming & soothing even though it's night raga according to the time theory of music.
Before he was kicked out of Heaven, Satan was the head leader of music. He knows how to enchant man.
Last week I was in Sikkim. I listened to this as I did 40 mins yoga asanas then listened to the rest on the rooftop of the guesthouse as the sun set. Wonderful ❤
I will never forget Rumtek monastery, 1997. The Tibetan monks of the Kagyu-Pa sect held a week-long festival summoning Guru Padmasamphava. The oboes, the gongs, the damaru hand-held drums, the bells and the chanting all day, every day until sunset. We sat in the corner of the main hall, listening to the prayer cycles all day every day. What an experience....
Hell is the absence of God; a great, dark silence.
Words can't describe this music. The sound is so organic. After listening to such masterpieces one realizes compared to music after all language has it limitations..
Wonderful music! It takes me to a time and place in which I can meditate on the beauty of life. It reminds me of my travels to Nepal and the beauty of the people and mountains.

As a flutist and ardent admirer of Hariprasad-ji, it is simply astounding that I saw 564 dislikes for this remarkable performance?! Either these dislikers are stone deaf or stone-hearted. This music is food for the heart & soul unparalleled!
A beautiful evening raga, ideal for evening meditation. It literally removes all the ill will, the hatred and aggression, the violence and egotism in this current world and provides a soothing, peaceful blanket one can warp around one's soul.

Years ago I was blessed when I attempted to recite with Mychael Danna and Padmashree Hari Prasad Jee in Toronto I was a young boy.... The magical art of breathing which is connected with the master of all souls........

its like.. flying with wings wide open and no destination, unknown paths. meddling with clouds feeling the powerful winds and embracing their force and just flowing with it.. its a feeling of peace love in the air. i can't explain more. some of the notes are breathtaking.. i just feel lighter and in the air, flying.. flying.. without boundaries
I had the honour of being in the vicinity of this Master years ago and it amongst many great masters I have seen his was the most innately deep present pure staggering instrument playing I have ever experienced.
Played with warm sensitive humanity , with grace and elegance, deeply beautiful .Thank you Hariprasad Chaurasia for the many hours of joy you have given me with your wonderful music.Best wishes from Scotland
Sameera Damle What is this thing you call "sadness of devotion"? How can devotion be shadowed by sadness. It makes no sense. I hear longing and hope. "Sadness of devotion" is in fact doubt.
Thank you so much for sharing this, this by far is one of the most beautiful pieces of indian classical music i have heard. It calms the soul. thank you again,

I am crying so much and I don't know why? Never felt so sappy and helpless after listening to a musical Masterpiece. I am currently feeling closer to my maker and nothing else compares to this feeling. Nothing else.
Words are poor to express the feeling . Salute to the lover of music who has downloaded such precious master piece of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia the living legend of Indian Classical Music . Tunes are marvelous and to enjoy with close eyes ........... may lead U to orbit

Loved Hariprasad Chaurasia ever since I asked to "buy a cassette of the classical Indian music you are playign" from a shopkeeper in the little Rajasthani pilgramge town of Pushka back in 1991. Do so wish I could get that very same 'album' or recording on CD but not sure what it is called. Very mellow and laid back (night time raags?), I used to drift off to sleep to its sweet sounds and the smel of hand-rolled sandlewood incense in my little room on the roof of the temple by the holy lake.
Oh! It's amazing. It's extraordinary gift from god. Like as hearing classical music I charmed. I lost my soul in the nature. Then I found real world. Thanks god, thanks Hariprasad chaurishia.
