Hey, I checkt out a couple of tuning Pedals this weekend. For my taste, the led lamps of the HB pedal are too bright. They dazzle me a little. So I decided to use a different pedal. But your video helped me anyway. I can confirm all this.
it might be a stupid question, but im starting with pedals and ive only been tuning my guitars with a phone app, can you tell me how do you drop tune your guitar with this, is it just lower the string or something else? thank you!
There are no stupid questions 😉 it works the same as any other tuner. As soon as you drop from E to D#, for example, then it shows D# in the screen, the screen gets red, and you will be sharp until you reach the right pitch and the screen turns green again. I hope that helps
@@TheBedroomRocker1 thank you so much! I was thinking of buying the pedal, so thats why i asked this question, I am a metal guitarist thats why the drop tunings are important for me :). Have a nice day! Thank you again
There are no stupid questions 😉 yes, you can totally use this instead of a headstock tuner independently if you're a beginner or not. The headstock tuner is more portable, usually cheaper, easy to power with batteries, and very convenient for home use. For rehearsals or gigs, however, it may be a bit clumsy as you may forget to bring it, the battery may die out, and most importantly, you might get interference from other instruments or not get a very accurate and stable note reading. That's when having an inline/floor/pedal tuner like the CPT-20 or Boss TU3 or TC Electronics Polytune comes in very handy. It's more reliable because your guitar is plugged into it and you can use it to mute your guitar when tuning or not playing. If you place it in a pedalboard with your other effect pedals, then you're sure to never forget it and it will always be powered. For home use and small gigs, the headstock tuner is totally fine, but for more serious work or whenever I use a pedalboard, then I always have a floor/pedal/inline tuner with me and that's usually the CPT-20. Hope that helps!
