Great review but you should have used the tuner with noise gate pedal as how one would use in live gig setup.

Just to let you know they've changed the cable sizes. I received one a couple of days ago and it came with 4 straight end cables, and 8 angled end cables with different lengths. Thought I would say in case you weren't aware, I know this review is a couple of years old.

is there a way to isolate each pedal so there is not a hissing sound from the amp. I have the same tuner/power supply but it has a horrible breakup hissing sound... ugh

could this power a boss rc20xl? im looking for a way to power it but it doesnt use the same power supply as a 1 spot cable. i just want to find a way to power it without having too many cables to plug in to a socket

Hallo EytschPi, ich hab das Teil jetzt von Harley Benton gekauft - ist genau das gleiche. Wenn man ein anderes Netzteil verwendet ist das Fiepen mit fressenden Geräten weg. Ich denke das Netzteil verursacht das Fiepen. Mit anderem (starken) Netzteil funzt es prima.

What's the point of having the power supply feature if it's only a daisy chain? Might as well get a regular tuner (maybe even a clip-on) and an actual daisy chain. Will save you money and space on your board.

I agree with Leslie about Star Wars. Dumb movie. I like this tuner, power pedal. I'm hoping its in the $50 range.

I bought one to find out, like many others did, that is noisy as hell. If you play clean tones it is ok, but add distortion as is nearly unusable. If anyone knows a way how to fix it, change a transistor or resistor or whatever, i will apreciate it.

JOYO JF-18 Power Tune I paid for a new item and this is obviously second hand, has paint chip and scratches on the display. Protective cover for the display had been removed, this was purchased through Amazon. The supplier​ was JOYO Audio UK - Guitar Effects. Quality products at a cheap price with cheap policies and customer service. Eddie Scott

Got this one branded as HB and the hissing sound is super annoying. This sounds like a ground loop. Hooked it to Crybaby > Zoom G5n > RC-3. Product idea great, but the noise is terrible.

The idea of combining a power supply with a tuner seems great, but I still think I'll go with the Harley Benton PowerPlant Junior (it is isolated) and a decent clip-on tuner.

It would be great to know if the Joyo Power Tune is 'daisy chain' or not. I suspect not, because they rate 2 of the outputs at 500mA and the rest at 100mA. if they were daisy chained they would all be capable of up to the same current. They could perhaps be individually regulated outputs with a common ground, but they may also be isolated. The latest trend in power supplies is for them to be switching power supplies throughout. With these it is possible to have a small lightweight transformer with multiple isolated windings running at high frequency, then do the DC conversion and stabilisation off each winding. The input side of that is fed from a single plug top / wall wart supply. Referring to the JOYO website they do claim - Isolated outputs and short-circuit and over current protection. Testing switching supplies is both important and quite easy to do, at least for a qualitative test. The poorer switching designs leak a lot of high frequency signal onto the power outputs. With some pedals, such as the old Fuzz Face design, that have poor power supply noise rejection and quite a lot of internal gain, this otherwise inaudible high frequency signal gets converted into audible noise. If you max all the knobs on a Fuzz Face and compare powering it from a battery, with powering it with the switching supply, you should be able to hear if the switching supply is putting out a lot of 'noise'.

The power plug for this power supply was seriously noisy. I had the Harley Benton version.
