The original carbs on these old bikes had no accelerator pumps. Choke on, and two or three kicks with the key off. Choke off, key on, and one good kick should do the trick.
How are you man Nice bike. Funny how people got all the jokes and all the should haves to kick better. Nothing like being one with your machine. I put a stay dry pack in my magneto and silicone around the lid. Did real good.
i am building a 46 wl rat... And have 5" tires.... i want a more narrow rear fender, with no front fender.... i recogonize the struts you used on the rear... Where did you get the rear fender material...any help would be appreciated... great bike !!!!
I can't understand one simple thing: why dont these carb engines start on the first kick? I mean, we prime them, pump the throttle and then the damned machine fails to start, but every single part - sparking plug, carb - is working.
