Thanks for the comparison video. I purchased the blacked-out V&H Torquer 450 after this video, I liked the deeper throatier sound and even though the meter says they are about the same sound-wise, the V&H just sounded meaner to me. Great video!
I put Rhinehart 2-1's on my '17 RoadKing (M8 w/Andrews 465 cam, and Thundermax ECM tuner) and love it. It is about the growl! Get compliments about the sound of it all the time and the performance is great.
I have a 2020 street glide special. I just ordered the exact same set up with the Rineharts. I’ll be installing them this weekend. Glad to hear it was an easy instal. Great video!!
I like what you’re doing so I just subscribed. I got my first Harley in February, a 2021 road glide. Sort of a retirement present after 30 years on the job in Norfolk Va. Love this thing. I still have my BMW 1600 GTL Exclusive but have not ridden it this season. The Harley however is a completely different riding experience. Upgrades so far, a saddleman dominator seat with blue stitching and Rider backrest. Klockworks sport windshield, custom dynamics rear sequential signals, 4 inch Vance and Hines slip ones, the 4.5” I think look to big on my bike. And finally a fairing go pro mount like yours however I had to paint the base black. You take care and looking forward to your post.
Awesome bro! Enjoy your retirement! I still have about 6 to go. I gotta keep working to pay for the upgrades. 🤣. Nice upgrades so far, are you done upgrading?
Hey man, thanks for the work you put into this vid! Gonna go with Rinehart slimline duels header and 4.5 DBX on my Road glide from your comparisons. Again thanks.
Great video. I put DBX 45s on my 21 Street Glide Special. I’m about to say “F” the warranty and change the Headers. I also want the “Deep Growl”, which is why I went with the Rhinehart slip ons.
@@RealRonTV I was thinking about 2 into one because pf the performance. However I have the extended bags with the special and I don’t want to have the cutouts on the back. Do you still have your old headers?
@@RealRonTV I just don’t care for the look of it and don’t want to buy another bag. I guess I could go with a dummy pipe if I went with one that isn’t a turn down.
Thanks for this. Question… I want more sound but not too loud just rolling down the highway. What’s you experience with the Reinhart system? It’s the set up I’m thinking I would like to go with. Oh… and I can buy the slip on mufflers for now and add the header later correct? Just re tune each time I assume
Thanks for the great comparison vid! I agree 100% about the Rinehart growl when you get on it. Had them on my last bike (twin cam) and loved to rev the crap out of them. But what I'd really like to know is how are the 4.5 DBX at a steady cruising speed with the M8? Is the drone bad or can you still hear your stereo? I'm doing more long trips and don't want too much racket unless I'm really hammering down. Thanks again!
@@RealRonTV surprised they are that backlogged! I got mine immediately shipped... Tempted to buy the Zombie baffles for the loud pipes around town hehe
I have 21 Street Glide Special, I went from Reinhardt DBX to the V&H Torguer 450 (which I like much better) but still not 100% satisfied. I am seeking a deeper sound. Wish I would have waited for back order of Khrome Werks (love the sound not the look). What can I do to get a deeper tone? Help
@Dick Weed it’s the best seat for really long distance and the comfort of your passenger. I have since switched to the Advanblack seat which is also awesome.
@Dick Weed mostly for the looks. Wasn’t crazy about how plain the mustang seat was. I originally thought I would use it for just around town but have since taken it on long trips and it’s now my main seat.
What would have been great is if you would have dumped the stupid SPL meter with your camera and mic right in the wind path of the pipes (in a closed garage) and set up out in a driveway and done some some drive-by sounds instead of the completely saturated and clipped mic sounds in this video.
What would’ve been great is if you appreciated the time and effort I put into showing you a comparison instead of bitching that it wasn’t up to your specifications.
