Hell yeah! Had the Cobras on my 2020 softail with a stage 2, and now i have a new 2021 road glide, and think im sticking with the cobras for my slip ons. Great video guys! Greetings from south Texas!
Almost sound the same, but I have to favor the Cobra NH...I have the same slip-ons on my 2021 Road Glide Special...I got new on such a special discounted price and saved several hundreds compared to the Vance & Hines...thanks for sharing
It is a bit hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure I like the Vance & Hines 450s much better. Which is good cuz I just bought some for a 2024 Road Glide. But i also got the Fuel Moto catless head pipes, so we'll see how it sounds when I get them on.
Honestly they sound pretty similar in the clips and for the money savings I would go with the Cobra's ... You guys are cute 👍 Most Harley parts are made in China or Mexico just sayin'
@@db2overland I run Cobra El-Diablo 2-1 in my 2021 122" FXFBS. I basically know them all as I took good months to find one for the current bike. But as I am (looks like) switching to RGST, I am on another look out. Again. 🤷♂️
@@db2overland well, we have many if the salaries are concerned but you know...probably less then you've got them in one midsized city in the U.S. 🤷♂️🥺
I was told that the Vance and Hines wouldn't void the factory warranty as long as you use stock head pipes. Anyone else hear this. I have cobra headers and hater pipes on my 2018 ultra limited. Was going to go same route on my 2021 RGS until I was told about warranty issue I happen to like both
Hi, I have a 2019 ultra limited CVO and are just looking at both of these options, as well as the Cobra 909 uppercuts, it's dificult to hear on film but which would you say has the best sound ? I want my Harley to sound like a Harley 🙂
thank you for sharing this, really appreciated . To be honest not much in it both sound amazing to my ears. Are both bikes stock apart from slip-on? thanks again
Yes, both bikes are stock, no modifications made to either for engine performance. Thank you for watching. Hope this helps you to make a decision on what you may be looking for.
@@db2overland Thank you. Will be happy with either probably go with the Cobra though. hardest thing is finding them in stock at the moment…always limited supply in uk
This is the second vid I've seen of yours with the same pipe comparison. Still think the Neighbor Haters sound a little better to my ear and it's about 200 bucks cheaper. Seen some people say they lost some low end with the NH's, may try some torque inserts with the baffles out. thx
@@chemdog70able Thx for the info....wound up going cheap with a pair of DNA Megaphones instead of the Neighbor Haters. Really liked the sound, putting them on a V&H true dual pipe. I hope I don't lose to much low end. If I do then going to try DK Customs lollipop style torque inserts and see how that works. Planning on a cam upgrade here in a few months anyway with a Fueling 525, pretty torquey cam.
Can she hear music at all at 60 - 70 mph highway speeds? What about slower cruising speeds? My passenger (wife) likes to listen to tunes on our Ultra Classic when we ride but I want louder then current Vance & Hines slab cuts on bike since new. Any thoughts on this?
Hey Dennis! Kim here...you can hear the music at those speeds although I feel you have to have the volume up pretty high. I think an upgrade to the speakers would be needed. Take note, I wear a full face helmet so that does hinder the sound quality a bit. For the most part, Tim and I usually are talking on our Sena's and we have no issues with hearing each other with the speakers inside the helmet. He can hear the music when I have it on and says it just sounds aweful through the Sena. I think if I had a half helmet I could hear the stereo pretty good. Hope that helps you. Thanks for watching!
@@db2overland ok thank you for the reply. Wife & I both wear a half helmet so we should be able to talk & listen to engine & rock music at lower cruising rpms. Keep the videos coming!
No gaskets needed. Just loosen clamps on the stock muffler, pull off and slip on the new one and tighten the clamps. Easy as that. Thanks for watching and hello from Alabama!
Are the Cobras noticeably louder in person? Stock is downright disappointing, but I'd still like my neighbors to not hate me too much haha. Besides, one is blind, and it would be kind of a dick move to deafen him too.
The Neighbor Haters are noticeably louder than stock but very hard to tell which is louder with the 450’s. I still don’t think you’re neighbors will be upset with either, but they will be pissed if you keep stock pipes. Everyone knows stock sucks 😂. Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Neither one has a tune. Both still stock. I am sure that if we did a tune there would be a better sound and a bit of a horse power pick up. Thanks for watching!
If you both had the same exact engine then that will be a good comparison. Being that one is a 107 and the other one is a 114 .I would think the 114 would definitely sound louder. Too bad you couldn't switch pipes and redo the test
Definitely a good choice for the price point. We both are happy with our choices. Let us know if you end up getting the NH's. Would love to know what you think! Thanks for watching!
When I was looking t to buy my 22 HD Street Bob they had a used one with the NHs on the it... and I said that the sound I was looking for. Not liking the Harley rattle sound that some of the other mufflers had. But i was looking at the Vince & Hines to and they are great to just alittle pricey. The Cobra NHs came in last week and waiting on my gaskets, be in this week.
