I absolutely love that color! I thought it was a '92 Heritage. I bought a new Heritage in '93 and just kicked myself that I had missed that color combo by one year. Came very close to having my 2021 Heritage repainted Teal & Cream, but had invested way too much in mods already.
Kevin… you kickass man! I bought your floorboard extension kit and your oil breather kit for my 2014 Fatboy Lo back in 2015. It’s great you guys are doing so well. One of your crew posted this vid for me today because I wanted to do your coil relocation kit but had no idea where to put a horn (I also have ABS like you). Horns are so damn ugly…. too bad a guy couldn’t mount them under the bike somewhere. Haha. I don’t know if you read these comments or not but I did have one last question… I’ve read the the Delphi system on my bike and the newer bikes isn’t keen on different plug wires etc… What percentage of your clients are returning the coil relocation kit & wires due to problems with ion sensors and what not?
Man, thanks for the good words, and we appreciate your business! Yes, we have grown some over the last 7 years. Thanks! Regarding the horn, the small one could mount below the bike, might have to fab up a simple bracket one you find a place you want it. I do think it won't be as effective pointed toward the ground. Regarding the wires....for Twin Cams, we have two different wires, the SE and the 409's that we spec'd out and have made for us. They are designed for use with electronic ignition systems found on Harley-Davidsons. They are 100% compatible with the Ion Sensing Knock Retard System used by Harley-Davidson.
My bike is much like yours..2017 heritage classic.. same color… Vance and Hines true dual fishtails.. same as you I dreamt of having a bike with this look… they are freaking beautiful..I wish I had the tombstone tail light..
Nice 👍 Glad you are enjoying your ride! Yeah, I had to purchase a different fender to get the tombstone light. Here is a link to the build. www.dkcustomproducts.com/acl/kevin-s-deluxe-heritage-3.htm
That is a sweet ride. It's just unfortunate for my bank account as now I have a few more things I want to add to my own 2013 heritage softail that I just bought. I already have the iso-grips and have been looking into getting an oil cooler. Going to be taking a good look at what y'all have and making a list.
Glad you are finding the videos useful. Your 2013 is a Nice Ride. Congratulations. We appreciate your business, always feel free to email or call with any questions. Support@DKCustomProducts.com 662-252-8828
Damn sweet ride! What's up with those titanium scrapers? I'd like to get some of those! I remember back in the day, they used to sell something similar that you could mount to the heels of your boots. Made for a freaky light show when cruising down the highway at night with your bros!
Yeah, they are a lot of fun. You can watch the video about them, and there is a link in the description of the video of where I got them. Here's the link to the video- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yWc_nI-mHa8.html
"On Softails, there is a rubber gasket on the front of the tank connecting the tank and the frame. This can be disconnected, cut where it wraps around the frame and moved up, or removed completely" Full instructions linked here- www.dkcustomproducts.com/media/wysiwyg/tanklift/Billet_Tank_Lift_instructions_patented.pdf You can see the rubber gasket in this VIDEO, linked below, starting around the 1:38 mark. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KokKdOdDM6E.html I removed mine 10 years ago and have never once had anyone even notice that I had.
Great video guys! I know how you feel my dream bike is just like that only when I was a kid I saw one black and white and all chromed out! I said oh yeah just like a 55 Chevy! Yeah still working on getting it LOL have a great day guys!
Wow, low miles for sure. And a carbed (?) 88 TC. Carbed bikes always sound better, and I like how the 88 pulls. I've not spent much time Softails older than 2010, but reports of how they ride are mixed.
I think the paint was different on the deluxe . It had teal on the side and white down the middle. The heritage was the opposite like this bike. For some reason Harley made the colors opposite on deluxe and heritage .
I believe it is 6 inches. Am 2000 miles away from it right now, so can't measure it. Check out the video below so you can know what size would be best for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y4pWGTj-iDE.html
Thank you. I don't know that I would spend the $ on one...it was already on the bike when I purchased it. It is the optional upgraded speedo from Harley that has a built in tachometer, fuel gauge and other assorted features. You can see it at this link- www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/combination-analog-speedometer-tachometer/p/70900171C
Beautiful bike. I just picked up a deluxe with bags and sissy bar, floorboards, and all the goodies. Similar to your bike but in black, (my favorite) love the color on yours. Classic
Thanks, yeah, it's a Heritage, but has a lot of Deluxe trim on it. Could not believe it myself when they "cut" the Deluxe. Still holding hope that it is temporary and that it will be back. Thank you, appreciate your comments. The paint on this bike was done by a company in California that is no longer in business. We have had other paint work done by Adam Paul at Time Warp Custom Paint and are very pleased with his work.
