I'm surprised you said onyx Studio 7 has a short battery life because the battery is a bit small.. i didnt know it before and above all what I want to say very thankfully.. Sony , it's largely badmouthed everywhere and you just decide to rematch against the legendary boombox 2 with Poweramp. 💪🏻

Since the Studio 8 didn't come out this year it should be next year. But I think they should make a Go&Play 3 like a luxury JBL Boombox

The room has a lot of glass which increases upper bass which the Sony is great at along with mid bass however you should still hear the difference in the frequencies

@@TheAscendedTechNinja But it's a small room and even there the difference isn't really there because I've been listening with my headphones even for indoors Sony is better for me

@@TheAscendedTechNinja for sure all i have seen now was a long video but i stick to it no difference in low bass at all. You even say yourself that you want to do part 2 with Boombox (2) and Sony XGG500 to improve the sound signature for the highs and bass. Then the Onyx would only be a toy against Sony.

You call this a long video 🤣this was short video for me still took 14 hours to edit not including everything else. But the deep bass in person except for the Studio 6 and citation 200 there is no speaker that can match the amount of deep bass from the studio 7 Boombox 2,Xg500 ect

@hunterbasselite6826 If it's going to be mainly used indoors, then I would go for it. But that is pretty funny about the price being more than the go plus Play 3, which is a much better speaker

@@TheAscendedTechNinja thanks for response ! yeah I have a turtle box for outside (fishing/hunting/crawfish/seafood boils) this would mainly be for like small get togethers/parties inside . My xb43 sounded great , and the battery lasted sooo long whenever I didn’t have it plugged in … but honestly i didn’t see the hype behind the xb43 , for being a “bass” speaker it was veryyyy dissatisfying with bass , but quality was good . Sounded almost identical to my old Beats pill tbh which was 100$ less tho … But thanks ! I think ima scoop it up today , I was reading on a Harmon kardon forum that there was a first gen set of studios 8s vs a built after Dec 2023 studio 8, that’s basically identical just slightly tweeked/revised .. so we’ll see !

@@TheAscendedTechNinja bought it yesterday ended up getting it 120$ BNIB ... Wayyy better than my XB43 , not even a comparison tbh , the bass is much nicer and deeper than my xb43 and JBL charge 5 , and clarity

@hunterbasselite6826 Well, that's why I was comparing it to the xg500. The bass on that thing is pretty damn impressive

I would get the XB43 but for outdoor use but I wouldn't pick either one. The reason is the XB 43 only plays at max volume for 30 minutes and it automatically decrease the volume and it does this around 5 times then once you reach 20% it will consistently tell you to charge the speaker and the Studio 7 battery is just awful 1 hour 30 minutes at max

No was not surprising because Sony had to compete against the Onyx Studio 7 with its bad out of the box sound. I even find that the Onyx Studio 7 sounds identical to the jbl boombox 2 and that's why I find both speakers perfect for indoor use and sony for Indoor too bass heavy and outdoor areas stronger as jblb2 and hs7, but only stronger at high volumes with dolby or poweramp to raise the treble and the bass deeper to boost.

The HK definitely for indoors the Boombox bass benefits better indoors but at higher volumes outdoors

@@TheAscendedTechNinja yep i saw that later, but damn imagine if it would be as good without the DC plugged in...that would blow away all the bluetooth speakers cause with DC plugged in its so damn good!

it would put up a better fight but Harman never plans on putting it in a bigger battery to protect JBL sales. But there is the storm box blast that is around the same price it can't really compete with at all pass 60% volume

@@Silvesterparty18 not the app you're right about this, but search for SRS-XG500 with equalizer it's true the Sony has 2 tweeter but not good out of the box sound.

Well, the thing is, I can't take advantage of the Boombox 3 wifi edition since I don't pay for any music services so it wouldn't be to much of a difference

It is a good speaker on what it is attended for but I still think the price is too high to be lacking deep bass for its size

@@TheAscendedTechNinja Yes, that's right, but I wanted to get a portable bluetooth speaker for outside and it's difficult to hear deep bass outside because there is no sound propagation where the bass can be transmitted. I was at the beach last week and from afar I always hear punchy uppa bass but never deep bass. Soundbooks 3 or Sony 500?

@@TheAscendedTechNinja I think there is also Ue Hyperboom but it doesn't have enough middle bass for me and thank you for wanting to help me. I just got 800 euros

The UE Hyperboom is all upper bass lol that's why I never got it. Well right now the only options for present deep bass is the JBL Partybox 310 the Boombox 2 struggles at the Beach but in June the Boombox 3 will be coming out and the 320 should be coming in the winter

Megabass with the old firmware wasn't all that good which I record in the video. But for the new firmware that's the only way I use it because the rest of my speakers have so much bass I got to have it but using a high-quality third-party EQ can still be helpful which I said in my videos

@@TheAscendedTechNinja I just ordered one. Aura studio 3 ,Onyx 7 and Bose 500 were my wishlists. Chose bose for it's compact size and lcd display.

I thought about reviewing the Aura studio 3 seems like a good speaker I'm looking out for the Studio 8 but I don't think it's coming out this year😭

Is it normal that The studio 7 sounds much louder and better with the DC connected? or can it be that the device wasnt fully charged? i mean i would like it to sound the same with and without DC...its kinda big difference to be honest

Sony make decent products for the price. But from time to time they make a homerun.

I wouldn't say that but the stock EQ could definitely be better. 3rd party EQs like the poweramp does take it to new heights but you would have to deal with 3rd party problems. But deep bass and a balanced sound you can't go wrong with the Studio 7 for indoor use

@@TheAscendedTechNinja yeah maybe I got too far, its not bad, just for the regular price is definitely not a competitor to the boombox, but if you find it for cheap its really good. I can't wait for the boombox 3 or partybox 320 though, can't decide which one I should get haha, im going to wait to hear them.

@@jblbasslover2181 because it is not as loud, not as crisp, and doesn't have deep bass, but its just my opinion.

Partybox 320 won't be mentioned till next year the Boombox 3 is coming out in June and best believe I will get it as early as I can💯

Believe it or not you could still hear the deep bass outdoors

Sinon, il aurait complètement disparu, il y a donc eu un changement de mode AC et Sony n'améliore pas du tout la puissance. 35 watts par côté pour le Sony mais n'avouez aucune différence :D

At lower volumes there is no difference but put it around max and then the power kicks in

Well it does struggle pretty hard outside but remember the Studios deep bass is unmatched but overall the Sony takes the cake in performance

I didnt hear that loudness from Sony like the deep bass from Harman Kardon

Mas a realidade de quem tá na terra é essa: Upper Bass, ou "graves secos", na nossa linguagem, é o que a Sony tem de melhor! Estou pra ver uma caixa portátil da Sony que responda ao menos 50Hz bem.. Não tem! Muito menos abaixo dessa frequência.. A Onyx Studio leva a melhor em ambientes internos e nos graves e subgraves + qualidade de agudos e voz (médios) limpíssimos. A Sony leva a melhor em ambientes externos, volume, bateria, e nos graves mais "secos", que ajudam a preencher melhor o espaço em ambientes mais abertos. O som em geral da Sony é abafado, mas tem quem goste.
