He should have thought that BEFORE he made this silly movie. Infact he should have kept his pride, and stopped at Indy 3. But when money have more value then pride....
@@daprekept his pride? 😂😂😂 you’re embarrassing yourself ✋🏻 this movie might have not been perfect but just cuz he played the role of Indy one last time in this doesn’t mean he’s any less deserving of pride
His first reaction says it all. He’s thinking, “ This woman is crazy! I’m 80 freaking years old! “, but he is still sharp with a quick wit, and an excellent response.
My mom met him when he came though Rock Springs, Wyoming to go to his cabin in Pinedale, Wyoming. He was trying disguise himself, but my mom said "sexy, there is no way that going to hide yourself and your beautiful body. " My mom said he was speechless. LOL. And he asked her how can she recognize him!? She said, " my daughter loves Star Wars and Indiana Jones. He gulps hard and pay her good tips and hop on his bike he bought from our Harley Davidson Store to go stay at his cabin.
@@david2727 that's so true he does. Almost every woman throwing themselves on him and he doesn't mind a bit. But he enjoy his action movies. Sci Fi or just a little adventure.
Er, he’s clearly totally pissed off by the puerile question. Women have had to deal with that sht forever. Wish reporters would just stop asking such dumb questions, just rude, and denigrating.
@@OldRaver I don't think the OP was referring to the 'young women' in the biz. Just for a second put that whole hornets nest to the side for a sec. I think the OP was suggesting a male interviewer asking say, Helen Miriam the same kind of question. Personally I'd like to think Dame Miram would swat it away with very little fuss. But you have to admit it would end up as a 'talking point' in many news outlets at least. _'How dare the reporter objectify such an accoladed actress!'_ I just cannot see any such outrage to any degree happening after this encounter.🤷♂️
If the genders were flipped, this would be a very different convo. Especially considering how he made it abundantly clear that it was an unwelcome one at that, and yet she still proceeded to mention the shirtless scene and allat stuff
@@drakevick1646 one gender is responsible for 99% of cases of sexual abuse and harrasment. So yes if it was other way around it would be more understandable for the reaction
His off camera personality is so awesome...he's so quiet and reserved, and always looks somewhat bewildered...but is usually the most intelligent man in the room.
@@shizukagozen777You're absolutely right, he is, that's the difference between movie stars and actors. Movie stars just play versions of themselves, but we love them for it!
@@jamesthecat Sorry but I have to disagree with you on that one: even though I love RDJ, Tony Stark and SW too but I don't like Han Solo at all and that's very probably because Han Solo = Ford. Actually, the very few actors/movie stars who play as themselves instead of their roles are the over the top arrogant and self righteous actors and/or they don't care that much anymore too. Fortunately, very few actors are actually like that, most of the ones who keep appearing in movies even after a very long career are still conscientious about their job, you'll never see Tom Cruise, DiCaprio or Keanu Reeves doing what Ford does, for example.
@@shizukagozen777 Well, I was agreeing with you, but I think you're overgeneralizing from your dislike of Ford here. Actors who 'play themselves' (I actually said *versions* ie they're limited) don't have to be arrogant, that doesn’t follow at all, they're just limited, I would call them 'Movie Stars' and would absolutely put Tom Cruise in that bracket (DiCaprio is more of an actor, to be fair), and the classic example of this was Sean Connery, who famously didn't even change his accent when he had to play a Russian. That is however what movie goers expected, because they just wanted to see a Sean Connery flick. My point is that movie stars don't generally have the range to become a completely different person, as a great actor can, even if they're physically different, and one of the best examples of that was Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Truman Capote, in my opinion.
Why imagine it? Actresses get similar kinds of comments and questions all the time. There are plenty of examples in videos right here on RU-vid. Maybe not with the same language but it’s the same idea.
She created/wrote a show called killing eve which was at least decent. Then it went to shit after that. A good example of someone who should have stayed behind the camera, not in front of it.😮😮😮
@@franingegnieri1831 Men spend there whole life not getting one compliment like that. He is honored to get that attention I'm sure. Just a threw him off is all.
@@kibwel.parker6042 That's called there being a difference between two otherwise similar things. Men complimented are not under threat of abuse or forced to play along for career sake, like women. It is possible for something to be rude when done/said by a man which wouldn't be rude,or would be less rude, than if it were a female, and vice versa. Equity > equality
I was waiting for the next person to say, “I don’t think you’re hot. I think you look like spit!” The answer to your question is, we live in a world now where, “If a man reporter had said that to a woman celebrity, he would’ve gotten fired so…”
You don't clearly know what Harrison Ford is like when he's really speaking his mind. What did you expect him to say, tell the woman to bugger off? Ford was putting on a front as best he could. He's an ACTOR, remember? The real Ford comes out right at the end, he's looking for the exits.
One of the Greatest historical masterpiece of all time!!! Indy is literally the long living legend. The story, the nostalgic music, the characters makes this movie a greatness. I got goosebumps when I saw Archimedes and the way Harrison Ford delivers his line was beyond imagination. Indiana jones is the Goated franchise of hollywood. Without Harrison, watching Indiana jones as same as watching Pirates of the Caribbean without Johnny Depp.
A great actor acts not only on screen but also in real life. His answer, words, body and face reactions, which start and develop while the question unfolds!.., including his punch at the end, define what acting is about!
It's just a funny question, he's making millions from his movies and here he is having to promote another of his movies. It's not hard work and he's getting about 40m a movie which he chooses to do, and part of his contract is promotion
I think of this guy when i think of a Mum & Indiana Jones Harrison Ford. Mum⚰️ & me watched it every night. I still remember when he gets the cup of life✌🏿👧🏿...
It WAS a rude question, because it was completely sexist, unimaginative and lazy. It assumes the actor is vain, and too simple to answer anything with more substance. You can see how insulted he was. I am sure you would just LOVE being asked something like that so publicly, sitting in front of a room of strangers, all giggling at you and snapping photos… but he obviously did not.
Can't blame him though. Imagine all the silly bs, served up by halfwits, you have to sit through and pretend to care about. When all you want to do is get back to your yacht and clap some cheeks.
He's not upset that someone complimented him, because that would be insane. He's upset that it wasn't a serious question about the movie or his role in it.
He is no longer trustworthy after what he agreed to do to Han Solo and now Indiana Jones. He needs to go star in the sequel to Witness and see if they can ruin that too! Sadly Harrison Ford has not been in good films since the 90s.
Yes but..today you have to lie to make poeple watch a video..the thumbnails are made to get your attention and then they can put any stupidity they want that has nothing to do with it..not everybody does that...just losers who wants to have their little you tube trophy..ince you click..they get their one more view..
@Frankygoestohollywood You are right. It has been like this for a long time, but not as much as it is today. I remember that as a kid, magazines would do this sometimes.
Harrison Ford is hardest person to read on the planet. Go back and watch interviews of him when he was younger, same vibes. Like he genuinely does not enjoy people, but is good at entertaining them 😅
I used to think the same thing, but after gathering information from several interviews, I think he just can't abide the shallowness of Hollywood, the inane questions from reporters, the pressure to do the same thing over and over because audiences will pay for it, and the outright stupidity of many fans. He's a professional with personal standards and has no interest in playing to the lowest common denominator. I think Harrison has trouble accommodating the vacuous aspects of his business, bless him.
You can literally see that he was trying to answer in the nicest way possible for him at that given moment, when he might have wanted to slap her in the face for that question lol. Harrison's pretty much always a classy guy. Huge talent and great heart!
His face says it all, get me out of this damn room. Priceless 😂❤😊😅❤❤❤❤😮 My favorite film of his is Mosquito Coast with River Phoenix 😍 ❤️ 💙 ♥️ 🎉. Still miss you River, RIP 🎉😢❤❤❤❤
Perfectly good question, asked in a light hearted manner and given a similarly fun reply. It's hardly an "inappropriate" question as headlined and Harrison's response says it all.
In his age group. Its very inappropriate. A younger dared not ask an elder such a question and make such a remark. So I believe he had to had to take in that comment and process it with a positvely funny come back.😂😂😂 They both did A Great job doing their jobs‼️😉
If you reversed the roles, would you feel the same way? Younger guy telling an old actress how she "still looks hot, especially when she took off her shirt in the 2nd scene." And how do you even answer that 'question'? "Gee thanks!" That being said, I don't think it's a big deal at all and I think the chick asking the question probably was just fangirling.
@@shyguy9102Alright how about saying those exact words but the reporter is a male then he is saying it to an actress. *sniff* i smell double standards 🤮
“…dumb questions…”? 🤔 Name another male, 80-year old, A-List actor who has “still got it”, who has his fans drooling. “How do you do it?!”, is absolutely a question in the minds of many, many Harrison Ford fans. The female journalist asking the question was merely a messenger.
