Hey harstem :) You are on the balance council, right? I just wanted to ask: Do you know anything about the new 2v2 map pool/know of a way to maybe revert some of the changes? The last 2v2 map pool (even tho it stayed the same for like 2-3 years) was really balanced, fair and modern, and was decided by high level 2v2 players. The new one includes like 4/7 maps from before 2017 and at least two who already saw play in HotS (who are really tiny). There are now only 2 standard macro maps and the rest are very cheesy or short rush distance. The maps are EXTREMLY unbalanced and unfair to certain race combinations, and result in a lot of "closing your eyes and praying" type of strategies. I already wrote a reddit post but nobody knows what's up. Really just any Information about what happened would help, but i understand if you can't share it/don't know anything. Edit: I first asked who the responsible person was for the change, i wasnt trying to blame anyone just to find out more but now i can see how that phrasing could have turned out negatively

And the way it's explained is just beautiful, especially the part when you say that being too macro-focused prevents you from developing the killer instinct. That's absolutely true in SC2. Casting is one thing, but I find this so much better. And you have gotten so much better in the past years. I do hope you'll win that tournament in the next 5 months, as you expressed your wishes. I dont know there's an English as Second Language has video game tournament, your english is definitely good my firend.

I think it would just be better to use the replay and talk over it with your present face instead of showing your past self's face. I could be wrong though. Keep it in your point of view by default but occasionally look at the other point of view too when it helps the analysis.

I never comment but watch every game... you are clearly improving and it's great to watch. Your play seems less emotional and more honed these days. Really awesome to watch!

Harstem love watching your stuff. My man I want to see you win more. I noticed that your not rotating your army, while rotating your army all the time. So what I mean to say is, when you disengage and head towards a new target or a flank, I've noticed many pro players use this time to reorder their troops. If your not going to be attacking for about 10 seconds, but your still heading into combat simply select the army your working with assign it a control group, and then utilize the shift+select in the group window to remove the 3-5 stalkers that are damaged from the control group. During this time you are still moving the control group a little closer at a time this leaves the stragglers at the back of the group. The beauty of this is that you do not have to save the new control group, and the result is that you now have another useful control group. This even works for Armies with many moving parts! Another way to auto rotate your units around your death ball, is to move them inefficiently through a ramp. lets say your in a battle, you have just blinked your front few stalkers in your army back to the low ground. For reference lets say you are attacking up a north ramp on the top right of the mini-map into their main at 4 min mark. The wounded stalkers end up bottom left of your death ball just at the bottom of the ramp. So now some of your fresh stalkers are on the ramp your wounded stalkers are bottom left and additional forces make up the bottom right of the ramp. This would mean that attacking up the ramp will annoyingly leave the wounded ones in the middle of the army movement instead of the back. Without having to change your selected units you can alternate attack and move, first move them all further to the left of the bottom of the ramp, as soon as the bottom right stalkers line up on the bottom of the ramp alternate move and attack to the top left of the ramp, since your attack ball is mostly to the left of the bottom of the ramp this should cause the stalkers who are hurt to stay put since your selecting the ledge and they are there already near that spot, and the entire death ball should rotate into the base with the damaged stalkers taking up the rear. this can allow you to not have to individually select units giving you time to do other things. I would love to hear more technical button tricks, I am a lowly field sergeant, so please take my advice with a grain of salt. hope this helps.

I find that the good days and weeks are caused mainly by diet and exercise. Especially when it comes to speed. Working out the fingers isn't a bad call when you want to increase your speed. That's why I love rock climbing.

In the showtime game is it deliberate to leave just one stalker attacking the gateway so there is a constant "you are under attack" notification? It seems like staying for 1-2 more volleys would've saved 30s of that stalker's time.

I wonder, if blocking adepts is so critical to Max, if you couldn't do some sort of committed early pressure with a proxy gate, warp in zealots, distract with an oracle, adepts and zealots break down door. Or some other build that hardcounters wall-focused builds
