Believe me these are very clever business women who did NOT get to be as rich as they are by not thinking about what they are letting the public see. They do scenes like this because we can relate, we all have that one family member who we are having problems with that sister we fight with or whatever. They are clever enough to know that the average Joe or Mary could not relate to their lifestyle so they put scenes like this into their show to make us feel like they are just like us an so we watch, thinking we know they a little better. Skidoodles let’s be real, Kourtney’s version of single motherhood isn’t the typical. She has a team of nannies, chefs, cleaners, drivers and assistants to help her raise her kids. She does *not* have many of the struggles that most single mums have. Kourtney has outsourced a lot of the hard parts of parenting and mostly spends her time doing the ‘fun’ stuff with/for her kids (e.g. reading stories, playing games etc). This doesn’t make her a *bad* mother but please let’s not pretend that her method of parenting is back-breaking labour. As for why she should work harder: 1) Kourtney *clearly* feels inferior. She may *say* she’s happy with her laidback life but I don’t believe her for a second. The way she broke down over Kim telling her that she’s the least exciting to look at tells a different story. Plus she posts just as many racy, attention-seeking pictures as the rest of her sisters. Somewhere deep down inside her, she wants attention and relevance, she’s just too lazy to work for it. 2) Humans aren’t made to be lazy. A little bit of ambition helps give your life meaning. I’m not saying she needs to be as driven as her sisters but everyone needs something to really work at and master. Kourtney doesn’t do much of anything and I honestly think it’s affecting her psyche. 3) At the end of the day her kids will leave her, then what will she do all day? Kourtney needs to sort her life out. She doesn’t seem like a very happy person to me.
