This is the only watch I have. I'm not a collector or anything; I thought this just captured the esthetic I like perfectly ... plain as dirt to anyone not in the know, but a total hardass piece of gear too ... and I like the dull finish. I just have the basic factory rubber watchband. I almost never take it off; I know you're not really supposed to keep it on in the shower but it doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Mine loses 12 seconds a day which seems fine. Only slight gripe is that the titanium case dents pretty easily ... it looks pretty well-loved at this point! Mine is a "P" series, whatever that means.
I believe it to be one of the very best they'll ever made, I still have mine 14 years on, the rubber strap is still the best. P series I'm guessing is a 2013/4 model
@@ClickSpringReview The only thing I find kind of prissy about it is the clear case-back. I would rather have a regular solid back. I emailed the company to see if they would put on a solid one, and they courteously replied nfw would we ever do that since that's not how it was designed. I believe they make a modern titanium one with a solid back, but you have to settle for a brown watchface and IMO that's not nearly as nice as plain black. I would have fancied one without a seconds hand, but I think on a manual-wind watch like this it's good to be able to see at a glance whether it's running.
@@ClickSpringReviewdo you know if they replaced with a hacking movement? I was all set to hunt for one of these when noticed your review. Hate not having a hacking movement
@@Hofology I guess them may of but my one has been disconnected for a long time now I person don't mind it as when the power is down if you apply some backwards pressure to the crown you can get it to hack . My friend just got a expensive Vacheron Constantin overseas and that doesn't hack either and nor does my Pequignet and thinking about not sure my Corum does
I just recently acquired a gently used 112 from 05. It’s running near perfectly from what I can see as its only a two hander. But I find myself gravitating to it, I rarely wear anything else..
WOW, this is so unusual to see a 177. Same decision here, sandwich dial, 44mm luminor case and manual winding. The 111 was to heavy on my wrist. The PAM177 weight makes is perfect. The watch does not feel thick, but it is. The curved lugs and the 44mm are playing a trick. My shirts are telling a different story. IBecause of the size, i dont wear the PAM often anymore.
Hi, fantastic watch. can i ask if you use the Panerai tubes on your aftermarket straps? if not are the spring bars ample to keep the strap solid on the lugs?
@@NICKVST TheSuper Avenger Chronomat Evolution 2 but sold it years a go was a great watch really enjoyed it but didn't like the bracelet and always had it on a Toshi leather strap ,
Cool video, i had a 177, and ended up wearing jt with the black rubber panerai strap. Its pretty cool, but i actually would have preferred a steel one if it had a little extra weight to it, this one was too light for me!
