@@Monstero5o When this comment was made, they disbanded. They came back for a short period in 2014-2015, and have been on indefinite hiatus since then.
Over a decade on, and this song still resonates with me as an adult. It communicates a very simple truth. In life, you will be faced with tough decisions. The people you love will often self-destruct by their own hand. You have two choices. Be part of the crowd who abandons them in their time of need. Or, you be part of the solution do something about it by addressing the problem. I’ve found myself in these situations many times.
ohh man this is so true, i hope my sweet friend Nicole will wake up and see her worth before it is too late... Christ knows her Heart, he can change hers... be blessed in Jesus Name Friend and thanks for this comment !
See, the old folks used to complain all that loud screaming music would rot our brain when actually prepared us for adulthood and the many battles we would face.❤
This is definitely one of those songs / videos that makes sense in retrospect. I wish I knew back then what I know now, but at least I always had music to help me feel seen and heard through my struggles 🙌
The message of this song is so powerful: There are times where we're all going through some tough times and we need help. This song made my day, and gave me more courage.
Such an underrated band. I remember seeing them in late 2007 with All that Remains and As I Lay Dying. I actually didn’t know who these guys were at the time but they put on the best performance that night and when I got home that night I started listening to their stuff. Quickly became one of my favorite bands and still are to this day.
Music has so much influence on people that that don't even realize. No matter how much I can't stand somebody, I can't bare to be mean to them. That's what comes from listening to Reggae almost all my life :)
Unlike most metal songs, this one despite its screamo stuff has a good message. It doesn't end in death like most do, but it ends with reconciliation and forgiveness, not hatred. Its great.
I wish i could freeze a time-span of about a year from a couple pasttimes and go back with the knowledge and wisdom just to appreciate how awesome and different it was compared to how nothing original exists anymore.
I wish someone would have told me I was worth more than this when I was going through all this crap last year... After I went through all this crap I heard this song and got my self straightened out bc. I was worth more than what I was doing.
+Kimberleigh Danielle This song helped me a lot too, when I was much much younger, because I had alcoholic parents who yelled and screamed, and the video and message helped me through. Realizing I was worth more than the life they had given me.
Haste the Day will always be in my heart, i'm gonna miss them soooo much :( ohh and i love this video!!! No matter what line-up they had... they made some real music.
i remember this band n this one particular song since i was in middle school, now im going to college, oh i love this band, it brings bak memories and i still love all their songs :)
Five words, five words is all it would take Five words to change your heart and mind In the heat of the sun, I know you're the only one You still can't hold yourself together Alone, alone, all alone you have this conversation To satisfy your most intimate inner thoughts Then you bite your lip when it matters most, a shade of red in sight Can you taste the blood' Taste it on your lips Rip the seam, then I'll show you How the strings become the stitches in your mouth In your silence we are louder When the strings become the stitches in your mouth Your growing imagination Preparing you for what your heart requires to say Then you bite your lip when it matters most, a shade of red in sight Can you taste the blood' Taste it on your lips Rip the seam, then I'll…
I have the honor of playing with them tomorrow! cant wait for that.. sad that theyre seperating :/ but ill always remember tomorrows show, sharing the stage with em!
I went to the school where the original guys went to. They had the burning bridges album release party where I used to eat lunch. The drummer also used to go to my church. Life is so crazy.
when they played in Salt Lake a couple months ago, i leaned over to the kid next to me and said "if they play stitches, you might wanna move.." 5 seconds later they announced the next song.. he went shoving his way through people to get outta my way. best night of my life.
"You're worth more than this" - You are. Not just everyone but you also. You are valuable to someone. That value, how much it's to be bought for over something by someone. Something above what is already offered or given, something unnecessary or undeserving which when comparing or linking to attempt to contrast something to who you think you are - dejected, lonely, depressed whatever the current situation you're in. That someone is Christ who gave us undeserving grace through his life.
i wish people would talk about THIS band, and THIS song, not any other band. If you wanna argue with someone about a band, go to a video of that bands. But i love this song :) its great, haste the day is amazing!
Yup. They are getting back together in an odd way..half the old band and half the new band. Jimmy, Brennan, and Mike from the original lineup and Stephen, Scotty, and Guiseppi from the new lineup. So yeah...2 lead singers plus the vocals Brennan and Mike contribute.
