But that is for other videos. Today we are focusing on the hatching process! Learn what to look for in your egg's development and know what that warning signs are.

I have had clutches that some eggs had slight Mold. I just use the drop of water and reduce my humidity level and they hatched fine. If you check the eggs every day and catch it soon enough, they can be saved.

Can you add springtails to the media to try to prevent eggs from molding?

I just received 3 chameleon eggs and they dont have marks on them. Do you know how to identify the orientation in placing them? Thank you!

Keeping them in the same position as they are in now is the best you can do.

Today I found white dots on my eggs, they look like mold, two green dots on one, I cleaned them, do you think the eggs can survive? They are fertilized and I try to clean them every day. Today I replaced the vermiculate with a new one.
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy Месяц назад
With eggs it is often hard to tell exactly what is going on. The best you can do is continue to incubate them until they hatch or mold over.

I have a great question for you I had a veiled chameleon egg split breached and baby nvr came out so I helped it that's how ik it was breached but that was Monday and still no sign of life how long would it take to know if it's survived or passed
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy 2 года назад
When it passes it will be unresponsive to touch.If its eyes are closed then that moment is most likely imminent.
@brittanywise2112
@brittanywise2112 2 года назад
@@ChameleonAcademy Ok it hasn't responded to touch or anything is there a way you can confirm with a photo I still have eggs waiting to hatch the female that laid the eggs was a rescue and she had 40 out of the 40 eggs I have 12 so far 2/12 are alive and moving one is almost a week old hatched on the 25th of this month and hasn't eaten it's flys and second one same but it's like two days old now it hatched on the 28th of this month

Bill I have a question hopefully you can help me. My female panther bonded with my male only once. She laid 25 eggs and being they need high humidity I have them in a reptile incubator. They are all turning yellow and brown. I think she already had eggs when I brought her home. I’m wondering if she had them too long before they mated. When I took them out of the lay bin they were all nice and white but now I’m wondering if I did something wrong because of the coloring. I live in Mesa AZ which is why I put them in a incubator to begin with. I placed them in Perlite. Temp is running 75-78 and the humidity is at 82 now but the perlite is pretty wet because of the need for the high humidity. Should I take them out and put them in a box in the closet or is it too late to do anything. It almost looks like they might not be fertile. She would only allow it for one time.
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy 2 года назад
Not all matings take and this might be one of those cases. There really isn’t anything you can do about that!
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy 2 года назад
Unfortunately, if they have changed from white to brown it doesn’t sound very promising.

Hi, I was wondering when breeding, is separating the eggs necessary or no?
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy Год назад
As far as we know at this point, it is not necessary to separate the eggs. But there are experiments going on to figure out what the benefits are of keeping them clumped as they are laid. So the best practices of today may change in the future. Even though I do not know of a firm benefit of keeping them clumped I am watching the community experiences carefully because clumped is more natural and more natural is usually better. But with close to 100% healthy hatch rates with eggs separated it is hard to say that keeping them together is critical. But we are always learning.

Hi Bill, we got our first batch of eggs from breeding our 2 panthers. She laid 27 eggs. I first transferred them into a tub with hatch right, but I was concerned about the colder winter months here in the UK, so I purchased an RCOM 90 Max incubator. Eggs were laid on the 16th and I transferred them into the incubator yesterday June 26th. I did’t realise not to rotate the eggs and I have no idea which way around they were. Is there any way to tell which way around they should be using a torch to shine through the egg ? Or after only 10 days do you think the eggs may still be ok. ? Thanks!
@ChameleonAcademy
@ChameleonAcademy 2 года назад
you should be fine at 10 days old. Just leave them where they are now.
