I agree greatest TV show ever. A while back someone tried to tell me Seinfeld was better than married with children. I read a comment somewhere someone had said that SpongeBob SquarePants was better than Seinfeld. I had never watched SpongeBob SquarePants, then I did. He was right it was. In fact his comment that SpongeBob SquarePants was better than Seinfeld was even funnier than Seinfeld!
Back in the day when my family gathered around the TV to watch as a family, we didn't watch Full House or Little House on the Prairie, we watched Married with Children because it was great how it resembled life.
This show was always great at telling the truth in an overly exaggerated, comedic way. Because as Oscar Wilde said, "If you're going to tell people the truth, make them laugh. Otherwise they'll kill you."
The proudly tacky take on the family sitcom genre in the 90s. Fun times, good semi-wholesome laughs, lol. Everybody was great in their role. I remember one scene where Peg dressed herself up with a giant bow to give to Al for his birthday and he said "Gee Peg, why would you give me the same stuff leftover from last year that I didn't want to open??" 😂😆 Even at 13 I knew why that was funny. Good memories from a somewhat simpler time.
Not to mention at the time of its finale the main stream was starting to become more sadly ‘PC aka politically correct’ and many of the things seen in the shows prior seasons would not have been considered allowable by that time so it is sad but was better than ruining the end of a very solid and one of a kind show they gave it a proper send off not some PC crap one and c’mon we all know AL don’t play fair or PC…that’s not the mans way…or as he would put it the AMERICAN way baby…👍🏼
Best 80s and 90s show on TV. I went out and got the complete box set at walmart. I was born in 1987 and danced to the opening music when my parents would watch it lol
Those Quiksilver shirts that Bud is wearing in the first scene, I remember how hot those were. Gotcha also made similar shirts with all kinds of colors and patterns. Good times!
There were only 2 Labor Day themed episodes from the show- both were great & both were written by the show's creators. That said, enjoy your upcoming Labor Day Holiday everyone!
This is a true fact the reason why Peggy Bundy dressed like that she took that character from when she was Bette Midler's backup singer when she was a harlot
This butchered some of the best parts of the two separate episodes: the hilarious fight scene on the road and the ashes from Marcy's grandmother used in the bbq without her knowing.
Or the part when they tell Steve and he smiles and eats them happily salivating at how his pos aunt in law ‘tootie’ got used to make said burgers like what a way to be used in the afterlife 🤣😂…so righteous and justified 🤣😂
It was actually Marcy's Aunt Toonie*':(spelling*(??)): And, yes, that WAS one of the BEST* episodes. Oh, also, I forgot: Another STELLAR* episode, was: FRANCINE's of Hollywood*..":😚😚😚😚😚😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ima run to this bus right now😂😂 they talked to him like a crazy person😂😂 my kids are grown and they do that to me.. Talk slow like its ok buddy leta do what u wanna do😂😂
There was something about Peggy's voice I couldn't pin point what is was for a little while until I realised its the same actress who voiced Leela from Futurama.
I loved this show! I missed the first few seasons because I was 16 when it first aired. I ended up seeing them on a channel that had all of them on at 7-8 P.m, and I watched or taped every episode.. I bought a collection edition with all the episodes. An episode that never aired because it was considered too risk aye. So I have all the DVDs of all the episodes. I am actually watching season four first half right now!what a .coincidence?.,
