It's good that he went to jail, however it is not attempted murder. His goal was to go through the blockade, not people. What he should be accountable for is, endangering the life of all the people in the area with his vehicle.
It’s sad to see these bots trying so hard to get attention so they can be famous. Doing this isn’t going to lead these bots anywhere. Here’s a message to all bots: 3:46
I know that he should have not done this but you understand that he didn't go into anyone, nor did he try to run over people and missed them. It is brutal what he did but also it isn't attempted murder if the intention wasn't murder. Attempted murder implies intention of murder. The parade blocked exits and the entire road. He couldn't turn around or anything. I am not justifying his actions but to call this attempted murder is plain ignorance.
What’s crazy is is I am a former addict and have been in rehabs personally for my drug addiction, and there is certain rehabs that take in pedophiles and “treat their condition” the same way they do addicts… absolutely ridiculous. It’s all viewed as a mental health condition to them, which is obviously disgusting and not right to put the two in the same categories. Oh a lot of the time pedophiles will get a lot lesser sentence than people getting caught in possession of drugs do, amazing our system isn’t it? But yeah fun fact for you there
@@jaden7858like at the same facilities with people trying to recover from their addictions??? i mean either way it’s disgusting but that’s next level. some people turn to drugs to cope with things that happened to them thanks to scum like that, and then they gotta try to get clean with pedophiles there?? what the shit that makes me so mad congrats on your sobriety btw!
Just gotta say as somebody who’s been struggling with anger issues their entire life this is still insane to me, like yea I get this angry sometimes but it’s always without fail in my own home, never in public
I used to have bad anger issues, not to the point of harming people physically but i would yell and punch holes in my own walls after a while of fixing holes spending all the money i was starting to see this shit aint worth it, and the one and only time i yelled at my fiance at thr time, then thats the day i stopped being angry and everything she had nothing to do with my anger it wasnt fair
I have anger issues but it usually involved a plate or my phone.. those get broken too often.. but I've never even thought about touching kids and driving through a parade
The amount of idiots that don’t understand why I can’t up move a barricade for them to “quickly drive through” is honestly astounding. Also the fact that there are always 10+ signs saying “turn around” before the actual block and then they say “oh I didn’t realise.” Damn I hate people 😂
I’ve volunteered at concerts before and worked the parking and its mindblowing how upset and angry people get over their vehicles. It’s literally a life or death situation for them when it’s the smallest request possible and takes 2 mins out of their day. Smh. Will never understand.
@@anarchium_wellsquest Just letting you know, if you google terrorism, it'll tell you what it actually means. Hint: ""For political means"" Random angry dudes with a car aren't terrorists lmao
Dude handled the whole thing like a GTA Protagonists. Rage one liner, followed by silence, with music that's just raunchy enough, driving to his waypoint, calmly avoiding traffic laws and ignoring pedestrians.
seeing charlie’s smile sparked a gleam in my eye and a slight palpitation of the heart. my grandmother was watching as well and now she can walk again. my goodness, may charlie inspire millions once more
@@theredhunter4997anger is a natural emotion and can be used when the scenarios beg of it. Too much of anything is bad though leading to the unnecessary anger issues.
The fact that they can say he’s been in AND OUT of prison for sex crimes with minors is part of why I don’t trust our justice system anymore. What society allows garbage like that to ever breathe fresh air again?
Well the justice system is corrupt anyways but some people are stupid enough to believe in multiple second chances even though once you are an adult you’re most likely to never change your awful behaviors.
i was watching some of the worst court cases the other day, a girl murdered a wife husband and there unborn child because she paid for hair extensions and was mad 2 YEARS later that it was expensive went there and killed them and she only got 15 years with parole after 10 your justice system sucks in america, yeah i bet you call yourselves the land of the free because nobody stays in jail longer than a few years even if they shout for there race to murder all jews innocent!
This isn't a man who's mad at a parade or a detour. This is a man who's mad at many, many things, and who's last straw was a parade/detour. You never know what might set someone off these days, but when people snap this hard, it's almost never just because of one thing. Whatever was at the actual root of this guy's anger, he failed to deal with it for way too long.
I was confused by your comment only because *Charlie* Daniels has a similar lyric during "Devil Went Down to Georgia" where he says: "Now sit down in that chair right there, lemme show you how it's done"
Not even a joke. This teacher had the gall to look at an 8 year old who brought his own toys to class and tell him to put them away because he wouldn't share with anyone else. They were my toys and no one else's, keep your booger picking godamn no swipey no wipey finger sniffing dirt washing crust covered fingers off my toys.
after waukesha this must have been _so_ scary for the people at the parade. there is _no way_ that didn't flash through their minds, at least the adults. glad nobody was hurt.
While I’m glad this guy got arrested, I also find it hilarious that he really screwed himself over with his own dash cam footage. Dude literally filmed evidence against himself in 4k.
There has been an influx of road rage that I’ve personally noticed and I’m sure many others have too. People’s patience is getting thinner and egos are getting bigger. This man is on a different level but I think it highlights a big issue that is brewing up in society. Be considerate on the roads
@@UncoolForYou This is a bit of an ignorant comment. Accidents aren't caused by the safe driver. They do end up the victims, though. Pay attention to everything happening on the road.
Though there are maniacs out there, a lot of people are really going through it lately. Life has only gotten harder, money doesnt go as far anymore. Put all that behind the wheel of a car where youre already at a heightened stress level and you get a lot of road rage.
I think part of the reason is because we simply take our cars everywhere so much and infrastructure isn't very good for pedestrians or other forms of transportation. Sounds a bit out there I know but I feel like ppl huddled in a car day in day out causes anti social behavior which can sometimes cause road rage. You don't care about the journey you just desperately wanna go home.
I grew up in Portland and shutting down those two exits basically makes navigating the city impossible until they were unblocked during busy hours. I don’t agree with how he reacted but I think it’s crazy they’re able to block highways for a parade when you could have moms in labor needing to get to the hospital or medical emergencies that just can’t get help for a parade
@@PhoenIXPhantasies Yeah he just screamed that the road was being blocked and proceeded to try to break through the parade being held. Clearly his anger had nothing to do with the road being blocked by a parade. Also he presumably had his camera on for a little while, so if he was angry for some other more compelling reason, it'd presumably have been mentioned.
My father was this way, he had a severe bipolar disorder. Grew up my entire life with that fear, the smallest things would set him off on a rampage. On the bright side however, I've become extremely good at de-escalation.
As a young teenager, I had awful anger issues that took years of therapy to figure out and heal from. I’ve NEVER been this mad And learning he was also a pedo gave me whiplash like I never expected him to be THAT bad
It's extraordinary how warped the perspective of an individual with a personality disorder can get. He probably believes he's the very model of a moral citizen and everyone else, including his victims, are the ones who are immoral. Narcissism of this level is frightening. Darrell Brooks comes to mind. Thankfully this fellow hadn't hit peak rage because he certainly has the potential to go full Darrell.
To be fair news anchor said he was arrested when he was 15 so it's most likely a SA of someone of his own age, not that it would make him a good person though lol
I grew up in a turbulent household so I find it hard to keep my negative emotions in check(anger, sadness, frustration, etc). I have punched a few walls in my life but I have NEVER been pushed to do anything even 1/4 as drastic as this. This is a level of unhinged that I cannot even imagine.
@JeffGoldblum64 Absolutely agree. I have gotten away from my toxic biological parents(my mom mostly, my dad I still talk to once in a while) and my ex stepdad and his new wife have kind of adopted my sister and I, the healing we have gotten just from that alone is tremendous. We finally get some normality at the ripe ages of 30 and 32 lol
The experienced guys in our small town marching band love to tell me the story about this one insane dude who tried to drive THROUGH the band on his moped as we were marching and playing (on a narrow road with canals on both sides, because Netherlands). He didn't even get past the trombones. They beat him up and tossed his moped into one of the canals. No one ever tried that again lmao
I once accidentally drove into an area of my town that had been blocked off for a parade. In my defense it was the day before the actual parade and so not all of the streets had signage or anything on them indicating that they couldn't be driven on, by the time I realised my mistake I was already too far in to turn around so I just kept driving (very) slowly until I exited the whole area on the opposite side. It wasn't anything like this. At most I got some angry stares and a couple of people waving at me. Embarrassing for sure, but not dramatic in the least lol
I'd like to note that not only are parades planned in advance, the grand floral parade is annual and is a huge deal in portland. it's part of rose festival WEEK, and is hyped up for more than a month in advance.
This was my thoughts exactly. If you're running late or you have to be somewhere in a certain amount of time, it's your responsibility to plan ahead. So, looking for road closures, traffic conditions ect and leaving in time for the random events that can set you back. If he wasn't running late for something then I have no idea why someone would get upset about a detour... And obviously there's no excuse for getting SO upset about a detour that you plow through a closed road into a parade.
As someone who has serious issues keeping calm, I can't fathom being so mad you're willing to risk killing other people who have no part in your anger.
A lot of people have actually been this angry, they just have that thing that stops them from doing something unhinged in the anger. This man let his intrusive thoughts win and did something extremely reckless. I'm just glad that he didn't hurt anyone.
After seeing what Darrel brooks did, this behavior is absolutely worth getting life in prison even if no one was hit. Psychopath is a major danger to society.
When he mentioned that he drove through a parade it reminded me of what he did, but when he mentioned what he did to kids, it was almost like history was repeating itself.
Also the box van attack in Nice, France back in 2016. And I think there was one in Sweden, too. And I want to say there was another similar incident to what Darrel Brooks did, but maybe I'm misremembering.
A thing to remind everyone of as well is this: Parades are not unscheduled, announced events lol. Remember, this was not just being inconvenienced, he definitely should've known there was a parade, or at least checked his route home lol.
especially with the Portland flower parade. Isn't this an annual thing? I mean, I don't know much about the US, but I know about portland and their famous roses. If he is a local, he definitely should know about this!
This happened a few years ago in Waukesha WI. Someone bulldozed through a parade and killed a ton of people including kids. My mom worked in the hospital that night, and that was probably one of the most traumatizing nights for her. She's told me a lot of horror stories from the E.R, from witnessing burn victims to suicide survivors, but seeing a parent clutching their childs head as their brains were spilling out was probably the worst she's had to witness.
@@Misselfilmen The Waukesha parade attacker was a SovCit BLM supporter, oh... but libtards like you don't let the facts confuse their narrative, do they?
3:05 That was a bold move by that motorcycle officer, very dangerous. He’s there to protect the public even if he needs to literally put himself between them and the threat.
I'm a miserable person but never have I ever been this angry. Or at the very least I never let it out or put it on anyone. This guy is just insane lol.
I’m definitely an asshole but im pretty sure this guy is 2 out of every 10 pickup truck drivers; literally insane and upset at nothing. Driving their Dodge ram like they stole it and they’re giving birth all at the same time
The truth is that a LOT of people are ALWAYS this mad and we are all just a wrong step or unfriendly gesture away from running into them. People need to be treated like the threat to each other they actually are in general across the board.
There's a lot to this, honestly. The fact that he is still on sex offender charges that he committed when he was 15, says a lot already. His situation might have been looking at prison time whether he stayed and waited for that line to get to his destination or doing what he did. That isn't someone who is blindsided by his anger to know he's getting some serious consequences
I'm not gonna defend this guy in particular but there are plenty of people convicted of sex crimes with minors when they were also minors. If he did something with a minor as a 30 year old, well, that's fucked up.
@@Hawk7886 it was clearly stated in the video that he was charged with sex crimes at the age of 15, making him also a minor. Most every state would not be releasing a repeat offender. In fact, most states are a 1 and done. You'll be getting a minimum of 5-10 years, 10 years of probation, and then registration for life
kinda sick to throw that pedo term around like that even if this is a disgusting person for putting so many lives in danger. Its not pedophilia if he was also a minor at that time.
The part where he is clearly considering running people down on purpose just before leaving the area is so insane. Like he genuinely believes that somehow every person attending the parade is there to intentionally and very personally ruin his commute. The level of delusional narcissism required to think like this is just unfathomable to me.
I live like 4 blocks away from the street that the Waukesha parade tragedy happened and this shit pisses me off. The fact that he drove towards people near the end is sickening especially since he was probably mad for no good reason before he encountered the parade.
@@codyritch1915 exactly, its because not too long ago this video wouldve never surfaced because he wouldnt have had a double action evidence cam on his car. also police didnt always have 24/7 body cams to show freakouts. theres a tangible reason people see more rage filled endeavors.... cameras everywhere.
I have seen so much brain rot that ppl are saying “how about we stop closing down streets for parades” or “other people have lives too they need to get to work or other important places”
I was once out on a Saturday evening drive in my convertible completely unaware that my hometown was having its homecoming parade. I approached an intersection where I was ushered in with the other vehicles that were actually in the parade. I just sort of awkwardly waved to people and played it off as if I was supposed to be there
Saying “why isn’t he getting punished no one got hurt” is like saying we can all attempt literally any crime but as long as it isn’t successful we shouldn’t be punished for it. If that man isn’t the main character’s arch nemesis I don’t know who is.
You know what's crazy? The law itself uses that logic sometimes. For example in Chris Hansen's sting operations, when a dude shows up with a condom and the absolute obvious intent to do the dirty with a child, they're often not imprisoned because they didn't commit the act..
I have severe anger issues & PMDD. I'm not in danger of hurting anyone, but this is really eye-opening for me. I don't wanna ruin my life over a "slight detour" & end up even worse. I needed to see this today. Thank you, Charlie. Great video, as always.
I've had trouble expressing emotions in the past, and one thing I learned is that bottling up emotions leads to it being explsively unleashed, usually in anger, sadness, happiness or anxiety. even bottling up my whole life would not lead to an outburst like that dude, holy shit.
A lot of women come across like emotional basket cases because they cry so often over the silliest shit, but, i don't know....they might be on to something.
@@user-up1id5rv2m Kind of, but that really isn't the issue for this case. This guy had his license suspended. **He wasn't supposed to be driving. It is illegal for him. He did it anyway.**
My dad and I were driving earlier this year and out of nowhere some guy cuts us off and started giving us the finger. His face looked so angry our first reaction was to start laughing. That had to have been the most hilarious face I've ever seen someone make when they're upset, so much so to the point where we couldn't even be mad that he almost hit us. I want to know how he felt about seeing us dying in the car at him.
Bro they’re all the same I swear. It’s either some smelly middle aged hispanic guy or a smelly middle aged fat white man. Never any other kind of person😂
I was hesitating to make a right turn on a yellow light and this old lady was making a left turn so we both went face to face stopping in the intersection and I let her go and she stared me down like I was at fault
Dude cut me off and i flipped him off and he went and followed me to a light trying to intimidate me. I rolled down my window locked eyes with him concisely ,looked into the fiber of that mans being and proceeded to give him the blankest thousand yard stare. For seconds at a red light. Slowly discomfort grows in his body language and he just looked away. I didnt have to say anything. Things arent good rn, and if im being honest im just waiting for an excuse to get out of my car and wail on someone. A word didnt even need to be said. Just a simple blank stare implying all the physical intention i had towards this random man. His toughguy act cracks like limestone and he just drives away .
The reason why it’s called anger issues is bc you can explode like this or constantly feel like exploding. It’s unnecessary but understandable. Have you genuinely never been that mad or do you just prefer not to let anyone know? Is your anger like a constant thing or explosive bouts?
@@Boosted_aj Hmm, I wonder if I have anger issues. I can get so mad at something that I would blow up Earth if there was a button right next to me, but I only get that mad at certain games lol. Not at anything that matters.
Man, Charlie really does just have his finger on the pulse of all these things. You ever notice how whenever it cuts to a clip of his stream and someone asking him "Did you see the the other day?" 95% of the time Charlie's answer is, like, "oh yeah of course" lmao
