The man in the tow truck is Josyah Brown, 24 Years old, and has been arrested for first- and second-degree assault as well as malicious destruction of property.
On the other hand he most likely CAUSED the man to drive his truck into the building, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage ... so .. does he really deserve a raise?

I was at a restaurant in Spain about 15 years ago, and a British couple were in there. They ordered a lavish meal, ate the entire meal then decided they didn't want to pay because it "Wasn't very good". Long story short, the manager of the restaurant ended up punching this man, the Police turned up and told them to pay or they would be arrested. I've always felt that was the best outcome of that situation.
The real tragedy is the fact that the employee had a baton stashed behind the counter, most likely because this behavior isn't unexpected. Our culture is fucked.
Yeah wtf, i was so confused when i read the story, did the man also order a take out beside the meal that he ate, or did he just realized that he got the wrong order AFTER he ate the meal, people cant be that stupid right?right? Oh boy i was wrong, some people are that stupid
Yep, crazy AF.... And dude actually came back 45 mins later after eating the entire meal, according to the police report shown at the beginning. And having worked in every facet of the restaurant industry over the past 20 years, I'm glad I am not the only manager who has had to get physical with an unstable, exceedingly insane and irate customer. Frankly it amped me up again just watching this incident. When people cross the line and threaten the safety of my employees and/or myself, there's going to be consequences. Obviously it's best not to take things into your own hands unless you absolutely have to, but sometimes there's no other option.
I had a customer finish his friend's meal. After finishing, "Hey, that wasn't my order". The manager gave him another meal. I hope I never have to go back to food service. People truly get over.
@@skyh3r0es No, he knew exactly what he was doing. He was trying to scam some free food from the restaurant and then chimped out when his little scam didn't work. It's a very common pattern of behavior for people from his demographic.
I worked as a manager in fast food for years and have experienced crazy customers. These folks simply use fast food workers as easy targets for their misplaced anger about other things going on in their life. It's sad. Especially when you consider that a lot of teenagers and younger adults are the ones providing the customer service. There were several instances where I would've loved to have jumped over the counter at some of these people. What was most infuriating to me was how they would imply that the staff were beneath their intelligence with comments like "All you have to do is flip burgers and put condiments on it, how hard can it be?" Personally, I think that EVERYONE should be made to work in the customer service industry before venturing into other areas of work. It might teach a few people some lessons in common courtesy and how to treat others in a dignified manner despite their age, level of education or area of work.
Look, I respect what you guys do but you ain't getting me into the counter of a fast food restaurant. Not because I find it unglorified, it's an honest way to make a living and that's more than I can say for many, but because I hella ain't dealing with the sorts of customers that give the service industry it's bad reputation
I have really bad anger issues, so I know that if I ever worked in the fast food industry, I'd probably be going to jail within the first week or so. That's why I specifically avoid the fast food industry.
Agreed, but now let’s talk about fast food workers who are HORRIBLE at there job, bad attitude, food not made right. I’ve had that happen about a hundred times. Let’s hear about that
@@shawnoconnor8075That's very true, I've experienced bad service many times myself. That said, in no way does it excuse that type of behavior or reaction...

I understand that but why do workers treat customers like trash that often too? Im always polite and stuff and 50% of the time i get to some pissed off worker that treats me bad. How was your experience in how you and your coworkers treated the customers?
@@baadlyrics8705 it's probably a mix of an especially bad day, customers treating them like shit, and the probably factual stigma that 9/10 workers from mainstream food franchise gets no respect whatsoever
@baad lyrics There's what the other guy said, but sometimes there's just someone who's lazy. That kind of work is labor intensive and stressful, so when there gets to be a large number of customers especially during what is usually quiet hours, some employees resent the people who come in and make them work more. I've seen it, I've tried to avoid it.

I had an absolutely crazy customer when I was working at a café. He ate his croissant and drank his cup of coffee then came back to the register and just went into a complete screaming tantrum about how the bread was rotten(?) and the coffee was burnt. He wanted a complete refund and a free item (this wasn't like a Starbucks)... My sister used to work at Steak ‘n Shake. The son of the man who started the chain went into one of the stores. He went to the counter, grabbed the cash register, and walked out with it. All he said to the shocked servers, “This is mine. This is all mine.” And left. People are crazy.

You get PAID money to spend time at someone else's store, and if you're loss prevention, you get paid to lay hands on people, but you still want to complain? Corporate allows employees to deny service...at a store you don't even own. Maybe show some gratitude. I like how people complain about working in retail but just by working there you have the power to trespass the entire town from your store all because you work there. The fact that corporate LETS you have so much leeway (when they don't have to) shows how much they care about their employees. They don't HAVE to give you the right to deny service you know, especially since it's not even your store. But they still do since they look out for you
I gotta say that, even though this guy was 100% in the wrong and being a total d bag, that fact that he actually ripped the door off the hinges and attempted to then use the door as a weapon is borderline legendary.

@Courage the conservative dog One time we ordered two bacon double cheese burgers, they made them singles, so we went back in to have that fixed and were polite because stuff happens lol even though they acted like they were really upset we complained/inconvenienced them (they also smashed our food for this). Then we realized they didnt put on the bacon this time lol so had to go back in again and they were just pissed went in the back threw bacon in a tub and tossed the tub on the counter at my mom without ever saying a word then walked away. I feel sorry for fast-food workers in this day and age. Back in college some 40+ years-ago, I worked in fast food. My boss was a great guy and told his employees that the customer is NOT always right, and that if we had done our job properly and been civil/reasonable with a complaining customer, he would back us up 100%. Over the years I was there, I saw our boss do exactly that. This made me remember the news story of the man who was shocked that he got arrested because he pulled a gun on a fast food employee because they didn't give him sauce with his food. 1 month update from a man who lives in the area: The criminal has been caught and put in jail. Justice has been served. The restaurant itself still has heavy damages to the front wall. It's been patched up but it's a temporary fix until they can apply a complete overhaul repair (it's absolutely needed, foundations were destroyed). Might as well toss this in as well: the food there is pretty great. The chicken is delicious and very reasonably priced. It's a real bang for your buck kind of deal. Good sides too, a wide variety of different menu items including desserts. Go spend a dime there when you can and help them out if you're in the area.

The saddest part about this as someone who has previously managed a fast food restaurant, is that the manager that retaliated against this Psychopath will probably get fired for this.
We learned in 2020 that destroying a business isn't a crime so ya, the manager assaulted a guy exercising his right to physically destroy a business and threatening the lives of everyone inside.
Which is nuts! That guy was a danger to the employees and other customers! The manager should be honored for trying to defend everyone in a situation that escalated to such extremes.

Honestly the fact that people don’t view fast food workers as people is inhuman, and the worse part is that they somehow wasn’t able to find the person, it’s like there’s a bunch of evidence for you, it’s just jumbled up, but you refuse to sort them out and just declare that you can’t find the culprit
thats a pretty big conclusion to jump too saying that they refuse to search for the guy. It's only been two days, he could just be hiding in some random friends apartment.
Easy fix. Have the owner of the restaurant call the owner of that tow truck company, and say “look, since there’s no evidence the truck ‘was’ lent out, or to who, we’ll be working on the assumption that it was one of your people, and was done on company time.
