As gardeners and garden designers, sometimes we may receive plants from nurseries that been 'forced', or grown on to flower early than they might normally.
This video details how to spot this, and what action we can take as gardeners.

Totally agree with you , I do the same thing gives the clients false impression of flowering times if you plant forced plants,

Great video. Struggle with the ethics as it were of big growers producing nice to look at plants, get them home and they've gone over in a week using all their energy so early on in heated tunnels. We've grown 3k tulips for this year as an early crop, put one inside the tunnel to test the difference. The one inside opened fully, but the height for cut flowers wasn't there - off by 10cm. The field lot are just getting there now, but height is nearly double, and what it should be. There's something to be said for patience and timing and getting a better article at the end.....IMHO

Also...couldnt u sprout those clippings.. Lol. I obviously do not ever have a problem trimming..my painful thing is thinning seedlings..i try like hell to tranplant the bsbies someplace....this year especially...i got really ill and could not work in the beds..omg...i have a mess and bet i dont get one bloom to use in sn arrangment this spring...im still really ill but not on death bed..

What if you want your flowers to bloom early.... I understand what your saying here... but i habe a wedding i want to grow a lot for...and try to force some to bloom early...i.do have a small temp green house...but heat is t the problem...are they forcing in mlm c02 or something...perhaps some.hormone?....or is it just a matter of time.

Zone..soil type really reall make a difference...i would deive around a neighborhood that was professionally done....see what appeals ro u in your area.
