During one of our recent adventures, we hit up Tiana's Bayou Adventure on its opening day, and let's just say. . . it was quite the experience! From opening day crowds and unpredictable weather to some technical hiccups with the attraction, things didn't exactly go as planned. 🌧️😅 But hey, we still had a blast, and many of you noticed our positive attitude through it all!
As is so often the case, your awesome comments got us thinking AND we thought that we would sit down with you [while eating some AMAZING watermelon] to chat about staying positive. . . even when things don't go according to plan. So join me over at EPCOT for a quick chat!
We’d love to hear from you too! How do you turn a lousy day around at Walt Disney World? And what’s the biggest monkey wrench that’s ever been thrown into your vacation plans? Share your stories and tips in the comments below!
Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit that notification bell so you never miss an adventure with us.
Stay foolish and happy haunting!

This is good advice for life in general, not just when traveling to Disney.

Absolutely!

Absolutely ….but myself and my husband come from NY. We have one shot a year to go to Disney world. And trying to make the best out of a trip from 5 years ago compared to now is just not realistic for us. Our 30 year anniversary of going to Disney world this Sept has been in fact cancelled. Our trip for the 30th is now on hold indefinitely. Trying to find something good in this situation is a nightmare for us. So we will wait it out and see what Disney does in the future. ❤

I hear what you are saying and understand. I’m curious though. Haven’t you also been frustrated with cost increases and service cutbacks in many other industries like restaurants and even stores that now mainly use self checkout? So much has changed post-COVID. Are there other places you used to frequent you now no longer visit?
@Tinkerellastreasuretrunk
@Tinkerellastreasuretrunk Месяц назад
@@fbueller but that’s another thing. Every company uses the Covid card for an excuse they have to work at coming back. But Disney has never really come back. They are still way behind. It’s just sad.

@@fbueller and no Disney has always been our place never thought of anyplace else. So this is a tough one believe me. We do feel it. But after being treated in such a way we will not be around to take it. Disney needs a lesson too.

Off topic question. How has the crowds been??
@2foolishmortals

Moderate in my opinion, aside from things like opening day of Tianas or the 4th.

@@2foolishmortals Do you see a fluctuation in crowds? Up or down or is it pretty much the same?
@2foolishmortals
@2foolishmortals 29 дней назад
There are always fluctuations in crowd levels both day to day, season to season and year to year. This is especially the case right now, overall, because we are seeing a shift in travel habits which started back in 2020. Recently, it seems like a lot of people are pointing out that things aren't all that crowded here at WDW and while it might not be as crowded as it's been in past years [especially during the post pandemic surge in travel] it's certainly not like there's no one here.
@ChronicleComicArt
@ChronicleComicArt Месяц назад
All that said. When you spend the $$$$ to get a family of 5or6 to WDW, you expect ideal. You expect to be able to ride what you want. You expect the to have fun. What you don’t expect are sell out virtual Queues, obnoxious guests, rolled back perks, and the mouse nickel and dining you for every single thing.,
@2foolishmortals
@2foolishmortals Месяц назад
@@ChronicleComicArt That's why managing expectations is important as is understanding that "ideal" in the minds of some is often times unreasonable. This is true in all areas of life, including when visiting WDW. How upset you get about it and whether or not it ruins your day/vacation is absolutely a choice.

The virtual queues and how annual passes are handled are the only real complaints about disney I have. I don't even have an issue with genie plus and made peace with disney having always been quite expensive. But those virtual queues have got to go.
@fbueller
@fbueller Месяц назад
@@metallicnole4514 Could you provide some additional information about what you dislike about annual passes? I thought APe were basically unlimited entry tickets. Does Disnay have a lot of stipulations about using them?

@@fbueller If you live outside of FL and want to be a passholder, the only option available is the highest tier $1400 incredipass. If you live in FL, there are lower tiers available. However, the lowest tier is the pixie pass for $440, which blocks you out of weekends and weeks surrounding holidays. If you want a pass that allows for weekends, you need at least the pirate pass for about $800, which only blocks out the weeks surrounding the holidays. I'm just not a fan of this passholder model.
