Havoc Demon Hunter got a MASSIVE tune-up to how it plays in Dragonflight 10.2, but this new playstyle can be seen as pretty complicated for lots of people! But fear not, builds do exist, that while slightly worse, play a lot simpler and more like the Havoc Demon Hunter of BFA and Shadowlands!

I'm getting back to Havoc now, used to be my main, but I haven`t played it in DF until now. I'm pushing +20s with this build at 455 ilvl. I personally like ESSB better than Fel Barrage tho. Thanks for the videio!

This is the build I'm using at the moment, but I'm committed to learning how to use the ignition ST build. I'm having a hard time getting it down tbh, but I think I just need more practice

Thanks for this. I main VDH but have wanted to expand on the complete DH dominance we have over M+ as a class. I can't play any mover build. I'm just not that good. I just did 400k on the dummies with this and it should still pump in keys

Tnx for the guide man. I prefer this playstyle more. I hate using fel rush offensively. I rather use it defensively to escape mechanics or reach a point faster. Spending it to do dps is kinda annoying to me.

This is what i was looking for. Movement builds are very hard to play some bosses on mythic. You should talk about stat prio for this build in next video.

Won’t be another guide, stat prio is just whatever your sim says, but it’s roughly Crit> Mastery > haste > verse but we want all stats

mover builds in general don't work. mechanics and ground swirlies screw over mover builds so bad it makes me wonder why anyone would bother. basically good for target dummies, but in the game, not effective.

@@TheRedStateBlue That's just not true, it performs the best on almost all bosses and almost everyone can make do with the playstyle. Some bosses are exceptions but not the rule. Dh has had plenty mover builds work all the way back to legion momentum etc. Just because you can't learn it correctly doesn't mean it's not efficent.

@@OldManDoom Exactly what nerve? there is no shortage of people having 0 problems playing around movement. It seperates the class from the others. Again, you most likely just have to practice more.

Excellent guide on this build, thanks! I'm also looking for a guide on how to do havoc movement better - (i.e how to stop overshooting with fel-rush & VR out of melee range of target), can anyone suggest one?

I'm playing around 21's right now and for certain dungeons where the space is super scarce (say DHT since Xavius, eggs and shrooms are annoying or WM) i'd love to play the build but will it really perform close enough to be worth it? Im currently pulling somewhere between 250-310k overalls depending on the dungeon in case that matters.

It won’t get that close to ignition but it can certainly do fine. It’s hard to put a number on how away it is, but UBC and inertia bring a LOT of damage in m+

Sure, *sims* show mover outplays no-mover but sims are not a great thing to base opinions off of what's better. Its such a canned environment - other things affect DPS such as player fatigue and enjoyment. I've seen people do amazing DPS as a no mover and even outdo other DHs doing mover. Probably because so many people are doing mover because it's the "meta" without actually enjoying it or playing at an optimal level. No mover is 100% viable in any situation and no matter what level of gameplay you're doing, you can do a no mover. I appreciate the guide but no mover isn't "worse" by any means. It can play JUST AS WELL as a mover and in some cases even better.

No mover is just flat out worse and it is cope to think it isn’t. The most possible damage is from that. That being said, it’s competitive and viable in lots of scenarios

I watched this video and it definitely changed my viewpoint on how viable no-movers are, maybe it will change your mind too, check it out! When progging HC Nymue I used no mover and it was really useful. The floor lines and laser beams were a pain at first. But once I got comfortable with the space and mechanics I switched back to Inertia. I think Blizzard really underestimates the difficulty and risk of the VR and FR movement to have competitive damage. You have to be so careful and have a lot of awareness, where as other classes do more damage and are already technically "no mover". I feel like it should be rewarded a little bit for this. Similar to how the more complex a rotation is the more damage it should do. Our rotation may be simple but we are in constant fear of being squished or hit etc.

if you step into an m+ dungeon you'll do that damage you're looking for. and everyone else will be typing this message about their class needing to do competitive damage with your class.

A bit confused why you say we should use blade dance/deathsweep during fel barrage...my understanding is that it also uses fury (but you mention not to use chaos strike/annihilation because it spends fury)? Am I missing something?

It uses fury but you generally have more than enough to maintain fel barrage and still use deathsweep. Deathsweep/bladedance is significantly more powerful than chaos strike, so you still want to use it on CD when possible

Keep in mind, all the movement and eruption spells are getting hit hard with the nerf hammer hard Tuesday which will make this build even more viable than it is already

I can understand the frustration around some builds, I've been playing havoc from the begining. But I truly don't get people that pick a very mobile class and then complain or get upset that the class is mobile... granted momentum should've been changed awhile ago and honestly isn't very good, but inertia is a great step in the right direction. It gives tons of agency for WHEN to use your movement in a fight rather than just a constant buff that needs to up to work. To me it's like picking a mage and being upset that you have to stand and cast spells rather than having a rotation based around instant cast spells... I'm glad Blizz has put effort into making "no-mover" options viable but I find that people still complain even after the changes /shrug

i think the inertia build is completly fine to play took like a day or 2 to get used to. and the only thing you have to get used to is knowing how much u will move adjust ur camera and for VR have way to get back in and ofc certain fights or situations were you should ignore that u can get inertia cause sometimes its better to leave it cause u wont get back in or every step means death/pulling something.

I actually started dh when it came out in legion and mained it hard in high end mythic Was a fun class with zero move for your max damage abilities. So that's a large part of the frustration. Mobility is great unless it's mandatory for dps in a place Luke mythic where the wrong step kills you. Combined with the frequency of the buff needed. That being said I love the no mover now being sub par but still solid
