I dont care if hes annoying. I love his passion for the game. Him getting mad shows how much he cares about the White Sox and the game of baseball itself.

Love him or hate him, Hawk really loves the White Sox more than I've seen anybody love a sports team.

I have been a White Sox fan for 58 years and a Hawk Harrelson fan every since he started doing Sox games. This video is extremely well done. I wish I had your editing skills. These clips are classic. I would pay you for a copy of this to put in my collection of Sox memorabilia.It is outstanding. I was a child whilst he was announcing and every time I hear that “You can put it on the board…. YES!” chant, it brings me back to nice memories of my childhood with my mother who was probably the biggest White Sox fan in the Chicago area, thank you for posting this!

He was the ultimate homer. Was he occasionally embarrassing? Sure. But more than anything, it was like watching a game with a friend! His energy will be missed.

Some people didn't like the Hawk and I don't know why, the guy was great and as a Cards fan I enjoy when they showed the White Sox on TV. You can put it on the booooard Yes!

Love Hawk! One of the reason I started cheering for the Sox even though I grew up in Oklahoma. The man wears his heart on his sleeve and has one of the most memorable home run calls in baseball. Would not trade him for anyone.

I would’ve loved to play for the Sox knowing you had a broadcaster that had your back like that. Knowing how happy you could make Hawk would be great motivation as a player. He’s what every hometown team broadcaster should be. He cared about his team, the guys, the franchise. It meant something to him. I’ve never been a Sox fan, but loved listening to Hawk because his passion and love for the White Sox was something special. That franchise is forever indebted to the man.

Hawk is one of the reasons I fell in love with baseball. I grew up with no hometown team, so I'd watch the Braves on TBS and The Sox on WGN.

Hawk getting a cramp mid-sentence during the home opener against the Tigers was pretty funny.

As a Cubs fan I have a weird respect for Hawk. Patt Hughes and Len Kasper have always been much more even tempered, so seeing my south side siblings with big ol homer calls puts a smile on my face in spite of myself.

I have lived in Chicago for 54 years....the White Sox have always been perceived as the underdog to the Cubs...BUT, Hawk Harrelson and "Wimpy" Paciorek, Darren Jackson and now, Steve "Stone Pony" Stone have always brought a entertainment and great perspective that other MLB announcers try to deliver, but don't. Don't forget Harry Carey and Jimmy Piersall too!

A's Fan here, but no matter what people think of him, Ken Harrelson will *ALWAYS* be an entertaining announcer and a legend in this league. Sucks that this year (2018) will be his final season announcing, but hats off to him and White Sox fans who have had the honor of having this guy as their Voice of Baseball for many years and memorable calls.

I’m a Yankees fan but I gotta be honest…. Hawk has got to be my favorite commentator of all time. Love that he’s an old school baseball type of guy and love that he’s a homer. I wish Michael Kay was more of a homer. Hawk’s calls are legendary and his rants and tirades about umpires or bad play by the White Sox is hilarious.

Thanks for the Deja vu I grew up watching his games and I loved his passion for the game. Very entertaining and so happy we got to see the white Sox win the World Series. And the way they won to lose one game the whole postseason, AL best record, 4 complete games in a row. First Latino manager to win. My only thing was not seeing the big hurt play.
