Hi. Thanks for doing this video it has helped me no end! How do you get the filter etc out of the housing? Look a bit brittle to be yanking with a pair of pliers 😬
Sounds like a complete arse of an investigation! Suspicious to say the least! At least you seem to know your stuff. Well done so far. Interesting watching!
2011 ZX14 100% stock and 8300 miles. New plugs and air filter. @ 3500 run good but if u floor it. Cut out really bad but then take off like new and run up to red line fine. I've checked TPS and it is good..
what problem do you think I have? I can rev my 2005 hayabusa to 11k but in gears 1-6 I can't go pass 9k rpm and feels like I'm falling flat like I'm not getting anymore fuel
Hi! My name is Ravel, and I have a Hayabusa too. My Hayabusa have been with a problem like this. But in my situation, it fails only in slow speed and for 10 minutes. After, no more problems. I don't know what is the problem. I cleaned the fuel injectors, changed the sparks, but the problem still persist. Do you have a suggestion? Thank´s
+Ravel Peres make sure your fuel lines are not bend under the gas tank . It happen to me . It was a pinch in the fuel line the one with the metal spring thing around it .
+Ravel Peres so when the bike is fully warmed up it runs fine ???Is it fine with the throttle wide open ? How about when the fuel tank is nearly empty ? When was the last time the air filter was changed / checked ?
Sugar, apparently, will not dissolve in petrol. Is it possible that it's silicon, like the fuel contamination we had in petrol stations a few years back? Salt might go that colour in petrol too and could create those white dots I think. Another possibility could be someone using dodgy fuel additives or a fuel stabiliser perhaps? Maybe someone trying to seal the tank and put something stupid in there? Not bought some cheap leaded petrol at some point has he? ;-)
+grumpysoreolbastard yes yes yes yes ye s....top of the class for you sir....It took me a long while to diagnose that how have you come to that result ????
It's a wonder it ran at all, had a little quad with a scooter type motor in it and couldn't get it running for months, took the tank off and heard something moving around in the tank and finally got it out and it was a screwdriver with its handle missing which had melted and mixed into the fuel !!!!!
Ahhhhhhhh ha. Pain in the arse, but at least you've got to the bottom of it. Previous owner must have pissed someone off. Can't imagine what the hell it might be. I've used vinegar to strip shit out of my tank in the past, don't know if it would work with that though. Keep us posted mate. Cheers.
If sugar, hot water should dissolve it. If not another solvent may dissolve remaining substance. Get in touch petrol storage companies may help. Mechanic should have picked up problem earlier? Wish you luck.
Looks like owner has upset someone who has access to brown/white sugar, to be sure get some of the 'shit' and mix with boiling water, if it dissolves then there you go. Best way to get rid of it would be to use boiling water to flush everything out sit it in some very hot water baths. then rinse repeat. Once happy get some water dispersal spray on parts and rinse the tank with some clean fuel. RSMF-*RI* Mr B
Wow maybe they used some dodgy car petrol mix thing in the tank thinking it would give them better performance....Although I doubt it would cause so much damage
