Rico Matsko obviously. What's equally obvious is that my comment implies that I wish Adewale was not killed here so he would have had a chance to meet Connor in the future.
While Shay and Haytham fought Liam and Achilles Charles lee and the other Templars with patriots burned Connor's village by George Washington's command
@Nisa Adikarige but isn’t it history’s way of serving justice? After all he grew up to become a templar or in other words the same men his father Edward Kenway fought against and the same goes for connor who became an assassin
Haytham made the right choice. Assassins talk about freedom a great deal..but really? Ezio and the italian assassins were allied and were enforcers of Lorenzo de medici(who was basically a dictator) Ezio and his father even served as Lorenzo's personal assassins murdering people who's only crime was getting on Lorenzo's bad side. The italian assassins allied themselves with Mercenaries and thieves and this tradition continued all the way to Rogue where the assassins allied themselves with gangs that terrorised the citizens of the colonies. The assassins supported the turkish empire too who conquered and killed thousands. The assassins are hypocrites and as the assassin Nikolai said "We are not heroes. We are killers that follow rules that apply only to us and then call ourselves heros" The assassins have always been corrupt but Achilles brotherhood was the most wretched in history(game history lol) May the father of understanding guide you to our fold brother xD
gustav kumlin, Haytham has never denied being the son of Edward Kenway. Actually he was proud of that. Edward was everything for Haytham. Cesare and Rodrigo were not real Templar Knights and modern Templars consider them as shame for the Order.
Enigma Fan Always corrupt? They fought against Genghis Kahn, The Borgias, Robespierre, Caligula, Hitler and God knows how many other monsters of history. Supporting some evils are nothing compared to what the Templars did. In Ezio's time, the Templars were filled to the brim with corruption and most of them were scumbags who cared nothing about their order's goal. The Assassins aren't perfect, but they at least support a noble goal. Some level of peace with total freedom is a better alternative than total peace with no freedom. The Templars seek to create a world in which they are the ones who hold the power and all others are forced to obey their every order. They think they know what's best for everyone, but they're people too. They're flawed and who knows how many other Rodrigos or Cesares may come into power if their idea becomes reality. Like Edward said "You would see all of mankind in a neatly furnished prison, safe and sober but dulled beyond reason and sapped of all spirit." Is that anyway to live? No individuality, no dreams, no purpose, no meaning. That's the future the Templars want. A stagnent, unchanging world comparable to a living purgatory.
He doesn't mean it seriously. In this scene, he distracts Adewale, pissing him off. Haytham worshipped his father until his last breath. And there is more sadness in his words than a desire to offend Edward.
@@MarcoVenustus not so new. I dont know the exact year that it was created but it is a very good read. In the first book you are in the American Civil war where you get to know Cudgel Cormac (the grandson of Shay Cormac). Second book is in Japan i think and the third one is in Scandinavia.
The Kenway saga was the best. Playing Black Flag, after that Rogue and finally lll really made me appreciate the connection between the characters throughout the time. If it weren't for Rogue, I wouldn't have replayed the other two games.
To say that Edward would be proud or disappointed with Haytham. We wouldn't know. He's already dead. The only thing that mattered is that Haytham made a choice. Isn't that what Assassins preach? Freedom. Freedom to choose. And he chose the Templars, it's not treachery or misguidance. It was a choice. Nothing more.
I dont think Edward the assassin would be ok with his son staying with a group that attacked his family and sold his daughter into prostitution. "Isn't that what Assassins preach? Freedom. " They want freedom from tyranny, the templars want to create a dictatorship. These two groups are at odds for a reason. "it's not treachery or misguidance. It was a choice. Nothing more." It is treachery if you're siding with your family's enemy. Plus, the only reason why he became a templar is because he was tricked and manipulated by Birch.
Haytham could have left if he wanted when he first discovered his father was on the opposite side. But he didn't, he has made his decision and no matter what anyone says, even if they use his father's name against him it will not shift. Just look at his encounter with Adewale. The way he was inducted into the Order was because of lies, but the principles of the Order itself were not lies and it's why I think he stayed. He firmly believed in the ideals of the Templar cause, it has been woven too deep.
@@enlightenmentdoesntcomeeas5337 ur forgetting Haytham was only 8 years old when he was taken by Birch. Anyone can easily influence the way someone thinks when they're 8 and growing up. Had Edward been around, Haytham would've grew up as an assassin.
I wonder how different this scene would be if you were hunting down an elderly Edward instead of Adewale, who would somehow survive this far into the series and is in Canada for whatever reason.
Alexander Lehigh I would have injected the disk and throw it out of the window or if on pc I would have totally removed it from existence. Also WTF even tho I didn't read ac forsaken Haythem always had a "weak point" As the templar order puts it and it was love for family how he assassinated birch the master templar in london because he killed his father and saved his sister from slavers after he found out about her so yeah if this was edward he wouldn't have killed him like he couldn't finish conor and had to let go of his son's arm because he was too much emotional at the time.at the end he said he is proud of Connor in someway.
Haytham talked shit about Edward? Haytham ya know your father is gonna give you a time out XD and am i the only one who felt regret after killing Adewale even tho i didn't want to do it
Yeah, after all of that time with Adewale at my side in Black Flag, and being Adewale in the spinoff, I've come to respect him as one of the greatest the Assassin Brotherhood has ever had in their ranks. Slave, pirate, Assassin, liberator of slaves... Liam was right to call him a 'living incarnation of the Creed'. I certainly didn't like killing him in the end. Even though I can easily find myself in the mindset of Shay Cormac as well... but then again, he didn't like killing Adewale either.
lawson ballinger What!? Haytham did avenge Edward. He killed Reginald Burch, and his other jockies that had a hand in his Fathers murder, and freed his half-sister from enslavement. You know nothing of what you speak.
Jacob Kreppeneck some guys that broke into his house stabbed him in the back His daughter was taken as a sex slave And Haytham dedicated himself to saving her later becoming a Templar
if you don't like the game, so don't fucking play it ,actually it had pretty great story and showed the story from the templar's side, and haytham was one of the best characters it my opinion
Danial MoradiSabzevar the story is good but the gameplay itself is just black flag 2.0 you can take it or leave it. It reminded me of batman arkham origins just being reskinned arkham city. As long as you have fun then who cares
I don’t think that Adewale is right to say that Edward would be ashamed of Haytham. If anything, Edward would be sad because his best friend and his son are literally killing each other. Not only that, but Edward would also be saddened by the fact that his son was lied and manipulated into being a Templar. I do think if Edward were alive to talk to Haytham about his ideology, he would still love and respect Haytham’s freedom to believe in the Templar order should he choose to do so, despite his disdain for the Order. Edward taught Haytham the freedom to choose for yourself, and choosing your philosophy would coincide with that.
+evilTaker90V2, Haytham is Master-Templar trained as an Assassin, who was perfect in swordfighting. He could defeat Achilles and many other well-trained assassins. So he would fight down Edward.
@@Stealther11 BRUUUUUH a lot of people say the same bullshit. Lets set this thing with sense. CONNOR WAS SHOT BY A CANON BALL He was injured and stunned. AND YES, i have read the book and it is never said "Haytham was stronger than Connor", he let him win because he loved him, but that doesn't mean that he was stronger, he was in advantage because Connor were injured and stunned. In a 1v1 with the two in good state, we dont know what i can happen, Connor is extremely strong, massive and such a skillful fighter with the Tomahawk, Haytham is a very skillful fighter, but he's old and with the time enough, it would be Haytham the first one that go fainted, being realistic, it is what it is, the age is heavy, and you can't say "He's still a Master Templar" BECAUSE ALTAIR WAS A MASTER ASSASSIN and still age affected his physical resistence no matter what he was or who it was.
well at that time Haytham was still relatively young. And Adewale was old. But yeah, more accustomed to seeing the young Adewale who accompanied Edward before going on his own crusade to liberate the slaves, and the older Haytham who was enemy, frenemy, then enemy again with Connor.
I don't think Edward would be disappointed. Haytham chose his own path and chose to join templars. Edward would see it that he does not want to be with the people his father was a part of. After all. Edward also chose to scam loreano Torres by taking an identity of an assassin. If that would not happen. He will always be a pirate crook and live his life like a poor person would. He is gonna be only disappointed by the fact that his assassin training to haytham hoping he would become an assassin but chose templars has gone into a waste.
Man kinda sad that Adéwalé had to die for this he was one of my favourites next to Edward man without Edward he might see Haytham as Templar he will be ashamed for Haytham man as a better Templar though
+Jakisten (Jakes Gaming) What are you talking about? They both joined the brotherhood, Adewale stayed at the seaside whereas Edward joined the British Brotherhood. This is the reason why they are apart. Adewale left Edward's side as harbormaster because he found it difficult to stand by a man who's so fixated on greed so he joined the Assassin's because they aimed for a higher purpose. Edward met up at the old Assassin hideout, met up with Adewale, then joined the brotherhood.
I love me some Haytham Kenway, but disrespecting Adewale and his own father like that made my blood boil lol. Black Flag hands down best game in the AC series.
Adewale saying that Haytham would never be like his father, in what sense? I pirate who killed and rob innocents? A men who killed assassin's or compromise the brotherhood for his own benefit?
Just if Edward still alive He probably going to kick haytam ass so hard It is hard to belive that the son of pirate that turn into honour Assassin Turned into one of templar The side that edward fight againts to
tbh assassins in that time where just like templers, that is why shay joined the templers. Assassins where killing innocents and striping people from their freedom (as seen in assassins' creed rouge), so the assassins were acting like templers and vise versa.
Lol you clearly seem not to understand Edward nor Haytham. Tbh Edward would be proud of him as he always taught his son to do what he feels is right. Edward himself killed assassins in the beginning and certainly it is hard to believe he joined them too but he believed the assassins were right and joined them. So neither would Edward want to beat his son nor vice versa. Infact when Haytham knew it was Birch who killed his father and sold his sister as a slave he killed him and freed his sister. What makes you think Edward would kick his ass lmao? And if at all hypothetically Edward and Haytham were to fight , it would be Haytham who would whoop Edward's ass up and down.
what happens after this makes me dislike shay cormac because ac black flag was my childhood i remember i tough it was to defeat frigates for me back then
Edward kenway was a pirate who then became an assassin haythem hates assassins even tho his father (edward kenway) was one haythem wanted to go in a different path because of the templer views instead of the assassins view
Haytham actually loved his father. He even search for Jennifer and avenged Edward's death (they killed Birch). The way I see this (in my opinion). This is Haytham at his best, being savage and his aim is to distract adewale or tilt him out of concentration.
I hate Haytham Kenway for the most part, and I hate Shay Cormac, he killed Adéwalé, he was good and it is so sad Edward couldn’t raise his son properly
The only thing sad is that you're a blind follower of assassin and hate anyone or anything associated with the Templars. Edward raised his son well enough contrary to what you think. He would be proud of his son in fact for not only avenging his father's death but also having a free will to choose what he wants and he chose the Templars.
