I've been watching some of your vids now and I LOVE your editing and how you produce your vids! Its really fantastic and now I'm a fan! But for real really do keep up the great work! 👍 also I'm thinking of getting a kart but I don't know which one, I was thinking the one you have but idk, any suggestions?? Thx :)

Hey! If you're looking into karting, I would definitely start in a rental championship near you to learn some fundamentals before getting into an expensive kart. Once you start to get the feel of driving, I highly recommend getting an "Lo206" class kart. These are very popular in the US and Canada, and are the most cost effective option. It's also very competitive so you won't have a problem with that :) Of course, check where your local track is and what classes they support. Definitely start by buying a used kart to start out with to learn maintenance and repairs. Once you're fluent in your skills both on and off the track, then you may consider buying a brand new one for national events, etc. You will probably be able to find a good used kart for around $2000-$3000 to get you started. I think I'm going to make a video about getting into karting and other cost related stuff sometime in the future, but for now feel free to ask any more questions you have here!! Hope this helps!

I recommend not looking behind at all with some exceptions it slows you down and shows to the other driver u are nervous

Hey! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’ve had a couple people point this out and I agree. I think that as I spend more time in race situations, I will become more confident in my driving and do a little less looking around haha. Cheers!

I’m watching this and trying to decide if defending for all of those laps was a good idea.. Do you know what the difference is for your lap time running defensively as opposed to a normal lap? Instead of defending the position so early in the race (and for so long) it may have been wiser to give the faster person a window and follow them and try to keep their pace. Once you’re in with the pack again, then go on the offensive, get to the front, and defend like hell!

Hey! I totally agree. In terms of a real race strategy, this was not it haha. My reason for defending so early is that (as you could see past lap 7 when he got past), I’m still significantly off pace from the front runners in the pack. If I felt that I could keep up, I might’ve tried to work together like you said and catch them up. However this was my first full race weekend, and I was kind of just fighting for the best position I could. This is definitely something to keep in mind for future races though, so I’m really glad you brought it up. Thanks!!!
