This is my first video of 2015. With January being a 'quiet' Month for filming, i decided to take an opportunity to pop down to Taunton Station and try to get some footage. I wanted to try and catch the 09.14 EWS liveried Class 66....66201 on the 625E Exeter (St Thomas) -- Westbury T.C. on ballast.
I stayed from 09.00 to 11.10 am, and the following footage is what i managed to capture in that timescale ! I flitted between Platforms 2, 4 and 5 during my visit. You will find quite a lot of clips will be of First Great Western HST's ,may not be everyone's cup of Tea.... but it is what was scheduled, and was good practice for my Second Trial outing with the Velbon RUP-L43 II Monopod. I am just getting used to it now, and Taunton Station was funnily enough one of the reasons i bought it for in the first place. Light to carry and easy to use...My main Velbon DV-7000 will always be used on The WSR etc. Hope you enjoy this video, one of many i hope to do this Year. Happy New Year to you all.....Steve.
Filmed on a Panasonic HC X920.
Supported by a Velbon RUP-L43 II Monopod.
