I put one of these up last week it works great . I had one similar to this on a pole that had quit working so my installation was quite simple, I think putting it on a pole is better than on the roof.

@@JB-jp7rs yes there is. It’s located underneath of the base of the antenna where coax cable plugs into the port.

I got one of these the other day and installed it. It works but the "150 miles" printed on the box refers to the range diameter with the antenna located in the middle. The radius of reception is more like 75 miles. The furthest stations I can pick up after the sun sets is about 75 miles (Detroit TV stations). During the day I can only pick up the local stations which are about 20 to 30 miles from my house.

D P Luckily for me the transmitting antenna is on the hillside about 2-3 nautical miles from the house. All those channels come in crystal clear all hours. I have lost few channels over time since install but just re-searched again and were back.

I need one to pickup channel 6 well which is VHF low signal, all of us in Philadelphia need this but it needs to be just as good at picking up UHF obviously, stinks channel 6 is so important in Philly for news an also decided to go GREEN...

ReganMarcelis I have a relative that uses this same antenna hence HowI found out about it and they live in same state ( Kentucky) as me . I get very same channels he does 80 miles away.

You point the antenna towards the TV transmitter in your area first before you turn it on. Then search your channels. I've only moved my antenna few inches in last two years. No need to go 360 , ever.

sandy ross I was able to go into settings and create channel favorites and delete unwanted channels.

James Carroll I guess you could. I did not think about that. However the antenna is multi directional so it does not have to be pointed towards tower to receive signal.

so i got one, and they are flimsy, so i hot glued every crevise and also zip tied the whole thing everywhere, but stuck in attic , before putting it outside, pointed north/ northeast to satelites 35 miles away, and get 61 HD OTA channels Free! it has an amplifier, and rotation (but don,t need it to move), ..just watch using splitters and long R59 cable will degrade your signal. Lastly, when getting this or any antenna, make sure it gets the low and high frequencies...45-900mhz, then tell the cable company where to go! Update...i put it outside on a pole (shower curtain rod), rescanned and Now get 76 channels free...Lead ZM, $15.

CrazyDonutFace That’s good to know. I’ve only had to rescan couple times cause our programming has changed channels but other than that it’s still as good as day one.

What type of technology does the remote use? The remote is awesome but I live in the Big City in Philadelphia so if we lose the service or wan to switch directions for different broadcasts sort of on demand (especially in a snowstorm) will it work if not outside or worse - on the roof pointing the remote at it? It needs to go to the third floor of a row home made of Brick from the couch of the Parlor / living room floor.... Otherwise, why even put a remote... Does it feel made WELL?.... SUN DAMAGE OVERTIME?..... This stuff I expressed (quality) mixed with RANGE... (new jersey channels an Delaware from Philadelphia, PA.) Would make the BEST "outdoor" Antenna... BTW: Thanks for the review, its not the number one antenna on google for outdoor antennas an your video comes up first so be prepare to get many hits.... BTW: also, A quality SUPER STRONG booster BUILT IN... Redundant when you have to buy your own anyway..... I would rather pay, 1 ...& DONE....

ReganMarcelis So far so good. It’s been flawless. Every few months one of the channels would get fuzzy so I’d go into settings and search the channels again just to reset signals. Remote uses infrared and you’d point it toward the box that’s plugged into the tv via coax.

excuse my typos, it "is" the number one video on RU-vid for this and it also "is"..... the number one antenna for outdoor antennas via Google ATM.... Hence, how I ended up here.... GL....

ReganMarcelis Hope this helps. Antenna has really been great. On the subject of weather resistance or quality, seems to be holding up really well and all seasons in Kentucky have not made any difference in signal quality even during snow or ice we’ve had last year.

They can but receiver only uses One remote, so if you change the channel, all TV's would change channel.

Moto Bum Side of the house I probably could have but At the time seemed easier. I do check the silicone after seasons to make sure they need reapply.

There are all sorts of HOLES in roofs, shingles, rubber, etc.... We have vents, we have plenty of things that need this BUT do not cause an issue... I am sure he took care of it, the man seems very diligent and took a very nice, proper video... I like his slow moving hand with showing you the top to bottom with GROUNDING I certainly appreciate as a Master Electrician / Residential....

No matter what you never penetrate your roof, eventually it will ruin your roof and the $40 antenna will cost you $2,500 in damage repair to your roof.

Sub Zero Than someone should make that into an issue with every satellite company on the market cause that’s exactly what they have been and still do when they put the dish up.
